to hear those words and to know that vlad was DISAPPOINTED in him was a serious blow. he’d made sure to KEEP his head down and PLEASE the vampire. ky even made sure to STAY near vlad when all he wanted to do was leave. it was a CHOICE he disliked, but one that was NEEDED to make sure that everything went smoothly.
a deep breath escaped his lips as he took a HESITANT step back. he remained as calm as he could; keeping himself under control was slightly difficult, but not impossible. he had been learning on how to control his heart rate and HIDE his innermost emotions from vlad. It was something that he was slowly getting adept at… even though he felt it most likely unnerved the vampire.
“i didn’t think things would actually go that BADLY.” he knew it wouldn’t turn out well, but that is what happened when ky went out and DESTROYED most of a city. it was only a matter of time before VLAD had to take matters into his own hands and ky knew for a fact he WOULDN’T be allowed to leave anytime soon. not when he caused this much TROUBLE in a single day. “I just…” he glanced the ground. “I just..” as much as he tried, he couldn’t bring himself to TRULY lie to vlad. “i needed a little fresh air and AMUSEMENT – i got carried away.”
ky’lar could become ERRATIC and unpredictable at times. his ANGER was something he tried to keep in check, but even ky could have INCIDENTS. the demon could LASH out at someone with no warning; the slightest discomfort and he’d TEAR apart whoever was near him.
and yet the question BEGGED to be truly answered. would vlad EVER need to defend himself from ky? it was a POSSIBILITY, but one he wouldn’t admit would happen. if the circumstances were right, there was no doubt ky would act as if he was as FERAL animal, and yet he believed he truly had his temper under COMPLETE control.
“one day,” he said, grin spreading across his lips, “you might find yourself in a POSITION that you’d want to run or simply stand aside.” it would be on that day that ky WOULDN’T restrain himself and rip a hole through the country side – it would last a while. maybe a few days to a week, but he’d get over it. he always did. just as long as no one tried to get in his way.
“either way, when that day comes, i hope there is something that will keep my attention for a few hours.” a pause. “still, i have designs for a… holding cell – i’m sure you can make the NECESSARY preparations. “
who knew a gift held such a POWER, one that could compel the mightiest of all to knees… when was last he fed, he thought to himself as his body obeyed to the OFFERING. when was last he felt the rush of liquid life as he tore through flesh with a single powerful bite.
DRACULA was perhaps mostly known for his UNMEASURED CHAOS through his need to kill in order to survive. a MONSTER in the eyes of the living. however, these humans killed cattle and poultry. they are what they eat.
A N I M A L S.
the room grew quiet with the absence of speech but VLAD could hear the beat, one he could easily waltz to its slow steady rhythm. helplessly, he took a step forward and then a second soon to be followed with a third at the sound of the pulse, biting the insides of his cheeks to refrain from showing visible desperation.
the vampire reached for KY’LAR almost clawing at the man’s attire as he clung to it. he licked at his lips as he watched the carotid pump with transfixed interest. « —–i always WONDERED what you taste like. bitter? sweet? a mix of both… you never go simple, my dear KY’LAR. » soft spoken words was brought up closer to the demon’s ear, a low whisper through clenched fangs. he smiled then and pressed his nose firmly against the pulsing vein to take in the scent. EXQUISITE was but a shadow to what came next as he latched on KY’LAR’s throat and broke skin with sharp teeth.
he could almost feel the warmth of the drips run down his chin and throat, the first burst, the flow of spewing vital fluid. knees nearly buckling, he held onto the other man, grasp inhumanly strong as a moan escaped his own throat.
the blood was a LUSCIOUS flavor, one he never experienced before. there was something… anger, rage, devotion... he craved MORE and MORE…
the CHOICE was made. there was no BACKING out of it now. ky may not have known EVERYTHING about what he was doing, but he TRUSTED vlad enough to NOT take this for anything more than what it was. it was an OFFERING – one that he’d set his mind on the MOMENT he became comfortable around the vampire.
a RARITY at it’s finest that ky ever let his guard down. even more to the point that if this went DECENTLY, he’d agree to this to happen on a REGULAR basis. not out of a KINDNESS – no, ky was NEVER and would NEVER be kind, but as appreciation of sorts. one, that he’d show as many times as NEEDED. if only due to the fact vlad was one of the few people he TRUSTED above all else.
TRUST that would be proven in the moments to come. SILENCE – pure silence was a rarity. something that OCCURRED on those slight occasions where patience was in order. patience that sometimes WASN’T wanted and yet there was ANTICIPATION for just what vlad would do.
a moment passed, another, and then another. the silence was only BROKEN by the question; what did he taste like? ky DIDN’T know, but he figured they both would find out the moment the the fangs punctured his flesh.
his entire body flinched as vlad latched onto his throat. it only lasted a second, but there was a true amount of PANIC in those first few moments, panic that subsided as he heard the sounds, and feeling the physical contact of vlad CLINGING to him.
it was an UNNERVING feeling that caused him to shift from ABSOLUTE panic to a calm FLOW of ease. an ease that lasted for a good few moments before it once again SHIFTED into something else. it was DISTANCE– not just from the vlad, but from the reality of the situation as he let himself RELAX. he put his absolute trust and unwavering TRUST in the vampire for the time being.
pale lips twisted into a regaled smile, the sharpness of fangs revealed as he purred. like an opened book and words revealed, KY’LAR presented VLAD with what he sought. panic… perhaps fear… a plea. an ANSWER.
« — i can not hear you for once. what a delightful sound to my ears, my dear KY’LAR. »
he could feel the beat of the man’s heart as it quickened its pace enticing a craved longing to feed within the VAMPIRE’s entire frame. instantly, he released the demon and took a step back, ignoring his urge.
« — i am in no MOOD to be toyed with… »
this WASN’T a game. ky wanted to state those OBVIOUS words at vlad with no SHAME. to make it quite clear that ky knew what he was playing – no DEALING with.
the SHARPNESS of the fangs DIDN’T bother him. nor did he MIND actually feeling PANIC for once. those emotions were usually dulled to the point it took something MAJOR for them to surface.
ANGER and RAGE were the easier of the emotions to bring out… PANIC and FEAR were largely unknown. BOTH of them were intertwined and ky’lar DESPERATELY wanted to experience every RANGE of emotions he could obtain. the only PROBLEM was that he HATED showing anything other than his USUAL distance – to get him going took something else.
it was something ky suspected vlad DIDN’T know about or maybe this would happen all to often. no, being PREDICTIVE made him bored and it’s allure DULLED over time.
surprises were NEEDED and yet now the demon was going to give VLAD something he CRAVED. it was done out of a split second DECISION; against his MUCH better judgement.
“are you now?” he asked, grin spreading across his lips; a far cry from the PANIC that was just there moments before. “perhaps you’d enjoy a GIFT.” a SMUG smirk as he leaned his head back and rubbed at his throat.
“i’m all yours.” it was a taunt; one he hoped VLAD would take. it was a RISKY one and yet ky was OFFERING himself as a meal FREELY. and he KNEW the consequences of what would happen if things went BADLY. – unless you DON’T want a taste.”
