Being followed in this town never ended well for either party. Someone either wound up deadbecause they didn’t fork over their money. Or someone chewed off more than they could handle. No matter what, someone always ended up dead and it wouldn’t be her tonight or any other night. “Tick tock, asshole,” she replied, ignoring his attempts at being funny and witty.
There was a snort at his comment however. “I am everyone’s type, for your information.” Maybe she was stretching that but she had yet to hear any complaints. “But if you weren’t plannin’ anything with me then why follow me for a couple blocks?”
in truth, even as he rolled his eyes, ky knew that he may have used the exact same line. then again, he wasn’t interested in anyone – at least at the moment. so, in his mind, no one was his type. even if they tried their hardest. then again, he had been wrong before. several times in fact.
“you wouldn’t believe me.” leaving off the final words that he wanted to say was done for a reason. that way, maybe he could come out of this with every piece of himself in-place. well, hopefully, “not that it matters anyways.”
“do you ever care about anything?” a simple question, but he still didn’t think it mattered. well, not really at any-rate. “all i need is you to do one little thing. it’s not the end of the world.” well, technically it wasn’t, but it could be in a way. “or anything like that.”
Oh she was quite familiar with that saying and knew it by heart. A small laugh left the young slayer as she peered up at the demon, knife still pressed firmly to his throat. If he wanted to, he could easily over power her–something she was aware of–as she was still a loose canon and sloppy. But she had a feeling he wouldn’t do anything just yet as neither would she because she wanted to know what he wanted and why he was following her.
“–No I’m not gonna use it yet,” Faith replied with an arched brow, knife unwavering. “Why were you following me?” she asked a few minutes later, eyes locked with his own. “And don’t lie sayin’ you weren’t ‘cause I know for damn sure you were.”
“Just yet? I don’t know if I should be amused or maybe just a bit concerned.” Either way, he wasn’t going to test fate —- not when he was quite certain that she would do what was necessary when the came time to it, “ See, I was hoping that you would have allowed me more time, but then again? We don’t have much of that these days, do we?”
Not that it mattered to the demon, he was just about to break off the following anyways —- far too boring for his tastes. Well, tonight at any-rate, “Anyways, I wasn’t planning anything, not with you at least. Not my type.”
She’d sensed another presence behind her as she walked down the alley, trying to go unnoticed since she didn’t want Angel catching wind of her just yet. So Faith kept walking, her head down as she went along for a few more minutes before ducking into a doorway when she was sure she could. Waiting for whomever was following her, she pulled her knife from her boot and held it firm until the other passed by.
Immediately she got those low-down tingles–spidey senses she called them–when she shoved the stranger into the fence. “ Oh goodie…I do get to kill somethin’ tonight, ” she grinned pressing the knife to the demon’s throat. “ That is if you can convince me otherwise…then again I can’t make any promises. ”
In truth, Ky’lar thought that he had kept enough distance between the both of them that he wouldn’t be caught. That way, he could safely follow with out causing anything, but it seemed he didn’t calculate correctly. Not that it was hard — the Demon was often wrong when he hadn’t faced someone or something he never had dealt with a for.
A reason to why he lifted his head up for a few moments: a slight grin forming across his lips as she spoke. Of course she would want to kill him: most did these days, but still, Ky found this more so amusing than anything else,
❝ I don’t expect ya to make promises, but there is an old saying…. if you have a blade you should use it. So, are ya gonna use it? ❞
