As jarring as that possibility was, it was worth considering. Working proactively had, after all, saw him put an end to the soothsaying jotun giants before their prophetic visions could weave a displeasing tale. By rights, the same logic should thus apply to the one known as Kratos, too. A ghostly thorn in the side of the aesir gods.

“I must admit, your advice is sound. Though the matter of carrying it out may prove…problematic.” It wasn’t as though there was much that could be researched on Kratos, at least not this far north. The passage of time, as well as his reputation for killing the majority of individuals who had earned his acrimony had the additional effect of seeing his name and legacy omitted from scrolls, tableaus   and various other forms of media used by the ancient mortals to record their pitiful take on the life and times of the gods.

“He is not someone who is bespoken for. What gods knew of him fell at his hands, and there are no more humans left alive that can speak of the time he spent as a man living amongst mortals. So you can see the type of…quandary that I find myself at odds with.”

“There are far more ways to find out about a person than asking questions,” he said bluntly. “The gods may be dead, but he isn’t – is he?” Oh, Ky was starting to get at something, but he wasn’t about to voice his thoughts on the matter. No, he’d let that come out in time, and while his plan may be sound? He wasn’t going to voice it to Thor.

Getting involved with Gods ( especially one’s like the one before him ) spelled bad news. Even more so since Ky had strict orders to not get involved with them. If his family knew about this little chat? Well, he’d be dragged back ‘home’ quicker than he could say ‘sorry’ ( more or less ).

“All men, even Gods such as yourself can die – It’s all a matter of apply the right pressure.” A pause. “From what i know of the Ghost of Sparta, he’s defied fate several times over, and doesn’t take kindly to threats against himself or his twisted sense of family.”

“As had I, until recent events have shown how wrong I was to believe such a fact.” He’d rather not speak of the defeat his sons received at the greek’s hands, training his attention instead on the mortals that still paid their respects to his effigies. This so called god from a different was troublesome, but Baldur, working at the behest of their father, had vowed to keep an eye on him.

“You speak of the one known as Kratos, yes? He is starting to become a nuisance.” A sharp exhale sees his irritation dissipate before it had the chance to reach critical mass. “I’ll deal with him when the time is right to do so.”

“– and what if the time is never right to do so?” a simple question, but one to gauge thor’s ultimate interest in the matter. “you could wait for years – until he’s destroyed all the gods – and even then… it might not be the right time.” or maybe the right time was simply what one was chosen when needed? either way, ky didn’t seem to care to much – it wasn’t his fight. not yet anyways.

“if you take my advice,” he said, right hand running through his hair, “you should learn everything there is to know about him before a fight. if only half the rumors are true about him? fighting him is a-kin to fighting a giant snake.” it won’t end well.

“You know if anyone arrived here from The Mouth in the last week? I just want to ask if they’ve seen my brother. I could do with some news.”

“i thought you gods knew everything – you know, meant to be more knowing, and enlightened than the rest of all existence.” maybe he was grasping a but on that last part, but all the same… he doubted it truly mattered. “then again? last i heard some spartan was on a rampage again.”
