Cocky. Why were the attractive ones always so damn cocky. It was probably something to do with the fact he was a demon. Hell, even demons knew when they had the goods. Jo wrapped the fingers around the shot glass in front of her before tipping her head back and letting the liquor warm the back of her throat.
“I’m going to hell for this,” She laughed aloud before nodding towards the direction of the exit. “Lead the way, cowboy.”
honestly, everyone was going to hell these days; it didn’t matter how, but rather, it was just a factor of when. sometimes, he made sure they went there, but others? well, humans managed to go there by themselves.
either way, he was going to give her a fun time, and nothing would change that. well, at least not now, “we’re all going to hell.” he mused out lowly, “you just might get the fast track tonight… if you’re lucky.”
“You’re cute a-” Jo paused a hand covering her mouth as a hiccup escaped her lips unexpectedly. The hiccup turned into a laugh as the blonde grabbed a hold of the bottle of whiskey she had been drinking. “still cute.”
“i’m also everyone’s type.” he mused out, “not to mention, i have a very nice hotel room – it’s loaded with whiskey by the way, and a free night.” ky may have been a demon, but he still couldn’t resist giving someone a good time. even if that someone was actually a hunter, “so, let’s see how cute i can be behind closed doors.”
At his question, Jo’s eyes shifted towards the ground. She was unable to look at him as she rolled his question over in her mind. She often found herself struggling to face herself in the mirror but she merely told herself it was because she felt as if she failed. As if she failed every single person she hadn’t been able to save. Jo swallowed hard as her eyes finally met his.
“Why are you doing this?” She asked in return not ready to answer his question yet. “Why does it matter?”
It didn’t matter. It never mattered to anyone. It was the prime reason that Ky’lar despised everyone else. They were all too fed up with their own problems to worry about a rich kid with anger issues.
It was to that very reason that he caused his eyes to roll at her words. It had been the same thing he heard several times over, “It doesn’t matter. That’s the point isn’t it? Human, Demon, or whatever else in-between. It always never matters. Not to many at any-rate…. they just don’t seem to care.”
“I said I’m fine.” Jo stumbled forward but still shook her head when the other tried to assist her. “You shouldn’t be here.”
It was the only moment some of his humanity broke through. A false moment, a moment of actual caring for another human being, and it faded just as quickly as it arose. After-all, who was he to help another? It was an idiotic moment that shouldn’t have happened.
To that very reason, he moved to yank his hands back from her, and increase the distance between the both of them. “If you were fine, I wouldn’t be here, but suit yourself. I don’t care.”
“When you look in the mirror, I have to ask, what do you see?” The question was posed as the Ky’lar paced back and forth for a few moments, “Do you see yourself or do you see a face that can never be yours? No matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you convince yourself it’s your own, you reflection will never reveal who you truly are.”
The man then came to a stop, “Tell me, do you know what it’s like to see yourself day after day, and not know who you really are?”
