ARMS FOLD ACROSS HERchest, Clara still regarding him with a raised brow. What truly could be much worse than the information she already held in her mind, the knowledge she collected from all her travels, from her deaths, or lack thereof. What more terrible, universe altering information could there be than a way to prevent people from dying, one that could literally tear time in two?❝Maybe not, but it needs to be found.❞
“everything needs to be found eventually.” if it was up to him, he’d change exactly who he was; maybe be able to give himself a half-way decent normal life. well, maybe, but he wasn’t going to even attempt that. no, he’d learned the hard way that there was nothing that could change his fate. nor what he could do to escape what he truly was. “the good… and the bad. go forth if you wish, but i’m not helping.” never again is he putting his life on the line for anyone else.
An eyebrow raised at his words, a thoughtful glance sent in his direction before she gave a soft sigh. No, perhaps she didn’t want to know the answer, but that didn’t mean she didn’t need to know it nevertheless. ❝ It might be, but I’m not going to stop looking. ❞
as much as he wanted to stop her from looking; to stop her from digging into everything. it was bound to come out eventually. a reason to why he wasn’t going to prevent her (too much), but he wasn’t going to help either. not when he could do more by issuing ominous warnings. “you sure ‘bout that? might not like what you find.”
“yeah, i wouldn’t start digging into things you don’t truly want the answers to.” that was something he learned the hard way. wanting answers was one thing, but actually… obtaining them was another. “it’s easier not knowing.”
