he hadn’t thought about where he would go from here. it wasn’t on his to do this ; leaving would be difficult. the demon had done and gotten himself attached. it was a weakness, one that would eventually come to destroy him, and he knew it, ‘ back home. ‘ he took in a breath before letting it out slowly, ‘ it’s an old cabin i had in the mountains of nevada. ’

he wasn’t going to respond with the most obvious answer that was of course; yes. that would have meant, in his mind, that he already knew that he was interrupting, and just trying to ultimately save face. it was the very thing that the demon was attempting to avoid.

a perfectly lined brow arched at his words, curiosity glistening in the bed of her hues. her aim didn’t lower, but her finger stopped tickling the trigger of the gun that was just barely a hairline away from the other. her hand canted to the side, and her gaze flickered up and down along the demon as if she could pinpoint any threat through article of clothings. ‘sure you aren’t. i’m sure that’s what they all say before they let you turn your back around and kill you. ‘
