lesserthanman:

The stranger’s triumphs over all pretenders has no effect. Logan was poised to scrapping, regardless if victory was assured or not. If he went down, he’d rise again, hours, days or even months later. Even hell couldn’t keep him contained, and he made the devil well aware of that fact.

Gonna do much more’n try, boy!Throwing his arms sideways, fingers grasping at invisible levers fastened to fists as his claws were unsheathed, long blades of bone cast in unbreakable adamantium and tapered to deadly points that emerged with an audible snikt.

The second they emerge, Logan was on the move, taking a few quick steps forward to build speed as he then lunged at Ky, claws first. Unless agility was on his side, the stranger would end up skewered.

now, this was interesting; someone with metal claws. he’d managed to read a few things here and there, but nothing that really stuck his attention. after-all, ky didn’t care for most things these days – not when he could end up stuck in his father’s realm for what could feel like an eternity for a simple indiscretion.

however, for the moment, ky didn’t have time to think over multiple options for this little spat. no, he chose to do what came naturally, and that wasn’t moving out of the way; no, that was standing right where he was as he shifted.

ky’lar was going to meet logan with spikes and all. that way, he wouldn’t just have an even playing filed, but rather, he’d have – in his mind – an assured advantage over the other. after-all, if logan wanted a fight? he would give it…by tapping into the one part of himself he was trying to desperately to control, but neglected to even try at this moment in time.

lesserthanman:

@hellfirebound  | starters!

The putrid stench of his own burned flesh clogs his nostrils, but it doesn’t force him to look away. His gaze is locked on a target, and won’t be shifting without his permission, relying on the glare he pins Ky with in addition to the hunched stance he takes to communicate what severed vocal cords can’t until the regenerative process restores them.
   The runt was engaged by the half-breed’s quick thinking, though he only had himself to blame; a trap had been set and Logan had been caught by it, receiving a blast of heat and bathe in fire for his troubles.

it was far more than simply a trap; it was a plan laid out specifically for the one who triggered it. so easy it had been to say the right words, at the right time, and obviously in the right manner. anything less would have derailed his plan to turn the wolverine crispy.
still, this little spat wasn’t over yet; not until the other learned their place… or ky could no longer find himself in a winning position. “you look better this way,” he said, voice dripping with sarcasm, and yet there was a touch of seriousness in it as well. “much better.” his lips pursed for a few moments. “i wonder how good you’ll look in my grandfather’s realm – like this until the end of days.”

lesserthanman:

Teeth bind together in a vicious showing of fanged ivories, a noise, comparable to that of a hostile growl ripping forth from the runt’s throat when talk spoke of wasting life.True, his own hands were far from clean; hundreds if not thousands of lives lost because of his actions, reprogrammed and brainwashed enough times to make any sane person pale at the thought.

Maybe that’s why he was given to the savageness that lurked within his core, showing in moments like this to remind the world that he was merely a beast trying to act like a man.

Damn bastard! I’ve half a mind to gut ya like a trout and end it already! Not all’a smells human– an’ not much gets past this nose. S’how I know you ain’t nothin’ but a bad seed, needin’ to be dealt with.

at the growl, a step back was taken, but not out of fear. instead, it was an instinct reaction – one that he had no control over. true, he wasn’t human – not even by a long shot. that little term didn’t pertain to him anymore, but he still never could never break some of the more… ingrained instincts.

“many have tried,” a simply put comment, “and many more have failed.” it was the truth, but not exactly all of it. sometimes, the demon just took on what he couldn’t handle, and was forced to admit defeat.

though, he doubted this would be one of those times – especially since he wasn’t going to let pesky rules get in the way of this little bit of amusement. “so, i welcome you to try.”

Oh he was willing to do more than that, if not for the offence of leaving when requested then for that defiant mouth of his.What stroke of luck did he have to always come across the chatty ones?
      “Doesn’t matter. I’ll be there waitin’ to stop ya at every chance.He had little use for his free time, anyway, having been counted amongst the dead for so long only to return with a fancy stone stowed away in his back pocket. What’s it goin’ to be, bub? It’s your choice t’ make.

“well, if it’s up to me? i think… endangering the lives of everyone in a twelve block radius seems to work out fine for me.” it was ky’s way of saying the fight was worth it for the moment. not to mention he rarely got choices these days – at least one’s that he could truly say were his own.

“i mean, with any luck, a few people might live, but do you really want to risk all those lives for a little disagreement? i mean, i shouldn’t smell that bad… i haven’t even been back to my grandfather’s realm in months.”

lesserthanman:

No stranger to grappling in the muck and grime in the name of seedy business, his nose twitches over hearing that remark, the shadow of a frown hooking at the corners of his mouth for a moment, but it stays set in a thin line. “S’fair. At least ya can’t say I didn’t ask nicely.
     Abandoning pleasantries, the hirsute mutant swelled in size, diminutive stature made up for in the fierce intent that he began to evince. Nothin’ ‘bout ya gives me any reason to trust you, so if you don’t plan on taking yer leave when asked, I guess it’s left up t’ me to throw yer ass to the curb.

image

  “you could try,” he said, arms crossing over his chest. “i mean, it is possible you could get far – might even work.” of course, that wasn’t to say that it would last. ky loved a good game, but he rarely played one for long – especially since he got bored quite easily.

     “then, i’d come back, “ his tone darkened, “kick your ass, and then maybe we’d call it a day.” though, the more likely factor was if he got the point of fighting he’d lose control, and then things would get to be very interesting.

lesserthanman:

@hellfirebound

Help you with sumthin’, bub? For the last while, Logan had been keeping a close eye on the man as he milled about the park. There was a stench about him that clawed at his nostrils , causing gruff features to frown disapprovingly.
   “’Cuz I think you should be movin’ on, now.

“oh, i’m sure you could help me with something.” ky could think of a great many things that the man could help him with. though, about over 90% of them were highly illegal, and even more were fatal. “ though, I could leave – should leave actually, but what is the term people use these days?” he couldn’t help, but flash a grin towards the man. “not a chance.”
