there’s a cold, and calculated smile on this monstrosity’s face as blues peer upwards at the taller. those pale pink lips had peeled away from his sharp teeth, before he took a slow sip from his starbucks’ cup.

“i believe you meant, ‘mephistopheles’, ky’lar.” he chuckles, but there’s little warmth in the tone of his voice.

“how have i been? why! i’m touched that you would even feign to offer me such compassion, especially since the last time i saw you i was– oh? what was i doing? wasn’t i elbow deep in your guts?”

“my apologies,” he even dipped his head in a false sense of respect. no, speaking his grandfather’s entire name would have most likely earned him another response. maybe some sort of minimal favor, but he wasn’t going to lower himself into doing so at the moment.

no, there would be enough time for that.
most likely when ky was begging for some sort of mercy.

however, for the time being, he was trying to remain civil, and attempting some sort of respect. it was only a slim amount, but he was at least learning to show a bit. even if it was a very long hard road towards where he should have been originally

“well, i deserved it,” an admission that surprised even himself. still, he was admitting to a mistake- something that was rare in all reality. even if his voice was shaky. “among other things.”

a deep breath in and a deep breath out. there was a reason ky always avoided his family and this was one of them. he didn’t like family reunions ( even if it was just seeing his father or grandfather ) due to the fact it usually lead to violence or something akin to that.
“meph-” he coughed for a moment as he took a slight step back. “i- how have you been?”

mephistcpheles:

mephistopheles had chosen to wear a lighter grey suit today, and boy! was he glad. he watched as the cur’s blood seeped into the fabric of his sleeve, pupils all but disappeared in the inhumanly blue shade.

his fingers tighten around ky’lar’s throat, hellish nails ripping through their leather constraints and pricking into the boy’s throat, before just sinking into the supple flesh. his lips are parted in his smiling, the slash that is his mouth too wide for a human face, those razor teeth not fitting in the monstrous mouth. “yes grandfather, ” the devil mocks in ky’lars voice, hissing after,

“ you’re such a COWARD. you only bow your heard when you’re FRIGHTENED. you only bare your teeth behind other’s backs. but you… should..” he leans in, mouth on ky’lars in a less than kind kiss— it cuts up his mouth, mephistopheles saliva taste of sulfur and rot. teeth rip into his lip, leaving a nasty cut. “ you’re worthless. you’re not even a good chew toy. not even worth a meal.”

he violently pulls his arm out of the cavity he’s made in ky’lar’s stomach, not careing about the blood and bile splattering onto his suit.

“oh, but torturing you for centuries to come might make me feel better.”

there was only so little time he had and much to learn. even now, he was still learning what to exactly do. respect was earned — he bowed his head and played ‘good boy’ when it was needed. being frightened or scared was just his instincts kicking in to protect him.

still, it wasn’t enough to keep him from the other’s insatiable wrath. that much was clear by their words and tone. even still by telling him the obvious fact that he was worthless. that much ky knew already – never could he compete with the rest of them.

he was always too messy, always too brash, and headstrong. he still needed to learn, still needed to stop acting like a child, and a spoilt brat. though, there was doubt that would ever happen as he let out a low groan.

arm being yanked out of his stomach was just the newest part of this punishment. though, the next words confirmed it wouldn’t be the last.

falling to his knee’s, ky spit up a fair bit of blood to add to the effect he was already bleeding out. not that he could do anything about it now — standing up to his grandfather had only resulted in pain. something that he had a feeling wasn’t going to be in short supply anytime soon.

“if i’m so worthless, why do you even bother then? i’ll never be up to your standards.” maybe he should have kept his mouth shut and just accepted the punishment with a grin, but he couldn’t. not when it was clear in his mind that nothing he could say would help one way or another.

“…. just get it over with.”
