the glass tips back, emptying the rest of it’s contents into the winchester’s mouth as they swallow. it burned, but it still wasn’t enough. dean wasn’t sure what he was chasing in this particular moment, but nothing was satisfying. hearing the comment, he stands up to grab a new drink, shaking his head. it takes a while, but dean finally responds, emotion building up as he stews on the statement. his fingers clench the glass tightly, enough for him to hear the material crack before he turns and throws the offending item against the wall.  well I never fucking wanted it!

the demon’s eyes shifted from the ceiling towards dean. he knew that the other was frustrated, but as to what extent? not even he knew. a reason to why he was attempting to not push the other to the edge. dean may have been important to ky’lar, but he wasn’t above putting the other in their place, “ it would be wise to remember who you’re speaking with. ” he said it simply as a way for dean to remember who he was talking with, but ky hoped that dean would push things further, “ it would be a shame to see you…” his lips pursed into a thin line as he moved to stand up and attempt to shift the conversation another way, “ do you want to leave, dean? ”

there was a stale taste that filled dean’s mouth- the flavor of blood and cheap whiskey, two things that followed the hunter wherever he went. he’s staring at the demon, an awkward silence between the two as dean toys with the edge of his glass. tongue licks against the chapped and broken lips, tingling from the alcohol.  you’ve made me something that i was never meant to be.

the demon failed to see the problem and why it mattered to much. he got everything he wanted. if it wasn’t dean personally, it would have been someone else, but the hunter was, for the most part, the only one that was suited for this. suited, to be his new possession — something that ky thought dean had no problem with. well, no problem with until now, “ never say never.  ” the words were said bluntly as ky leaned his head back for a few moments, “ it will all be ours soon enough.” though, what he truly meant to say was that it would all be his own, but that… was besides the point.

a hand is placed on the other’s shoulders, a small worried glance being thrown at the demon out of the corner of dean’s eyes. while dealing with these particular hoarders wasn’t the winchester’s idea of fun, he wanted the spell book that they had. unfortunately, that meant playing nice until they could get their hands on the physical, unlocked copy.  hey, calm down, okay? they’re a fucking kook, yeah, but right now they have what we want. i don’t want a grimoire that I can’t read because it wasn’t transferred to us properly.

he knew this was going to be risky. ky’lar would have enjoyed ripping everyone apart… rather than actually playing ‘nice’. not that it mattered too much now, he could keep himself under control, he had done it before, but it didn’t mean that the demon enjoyed it. even as dean’s hand was there to comfort him… it didn’t do much other than remind him of the situation they both were in, “i’m fine.” it was a full out lie, but one that he would stick to for the moment, “once it’s transferred to us…” his tone darkened as well as changed to just a whisper, “… i’ll take care of the lose ends.”

❝ For as long as I can remember, I just wanted to do what was right. ❞

“your view is so LIMITED, dean.” his words were roughly placed; he could have formed them better and yet… the demon didn’t feel the need to do so, “everyone does what they BELIEVE is right. you see, hunters think everything should be ELIMINATED that isn’t human.” a shrug, “most of them at any rate, not not all DEMONS are bad, and not all NON-HUMAN’S need to be eradicated.” of course, if it was up to ky… anyone who got in his WAY would be exterminated, but that wasn’t the point at the moment, “so, what we are doing IS RIGHT.” from a certain point of view.

❝ I wasn’t sure who to trust. ❞

image

“you can TRUST me.” in truth, it was more than dean could ONLY trust him, but that was something that he wasn’t about to say at the moment. people were dangerous. humanity was a disease and ky was the only one that SAW it for what it truly was. so what if he would willingly MURDER every human he came across? that was what they DESERVED, but dean was different. a reason to why he tried to stay as CLOSE to dean as possible… that way… he wouldn’t have to WORRY about him getting caught in the cross fire, “you KNOW that.”
