you used to FIGHT the monsters underneath the bed, the creatures that create the   d a r k n e s s   that surrounds you, all for the people you LOVE. and then the world DECIDED to turn you into one ———— an atrocity so terrifying that even grown—ups   T R E M B L E   at the sound of your name, at the sight of your tainted eyes. but what they don’t see is the BROKEN man trying to claw through the   s c a r r e d   skin made tough by the knives of PAIN that have slashed you. they do NOT notice the shattered remains of the  G O O D  boy that you used to be. not even as you try to grapple your way back to the surface, GASPING for breath, screaming for anyone still willing to HELP,    b e g g i n g   to be given a reason to LIVE.

hands REACH ; you try to GRAB ; keep GRASPING for a hand to pull you up ———— until you find NOTHING but empty air. that’s when you realize   n o b o d y   is willing to save you anymore because they see nothing worthy of SALVATION. so, instead, you lunge your way back to the top on your OWN ; with bruised fingers and  B L O O D   caked underneath splintered nails.

you are   N O T   back from darkness, you have BECOME the darkness. and you are not here to THANK a hero. you have  e m e r g e d   from the rubble to BURN back down into the ground everyone that has EVER wronged you… and from their  A S H E S ,  you vow to build your EMPIRE.
