he shouldn’t have said the words: shouldn’t have even spoke them. instead, all ky should have done was kept his silence, and distance. the problem was that he couldn’t anymore — not when he couldn’t deny those pesky feelings anymore.
a reason to why he repeated the words again, but this time more in shame than anything else. relationships never worked out with him… it didn’t matter who it was or why. he either pushed them away or they fell through due to someone’s actions, “I love you.”
Colleen just stared at him. “Ky’lar that isn’t how…that isn’t how this works? You don’t just own me now and if you own this place then fine, I’m gonna move out and find my own place again.” Col folded her arms over her chest giving him a hard glare.
“you don’t have to do that.” honestly, he didn’t see the problem in it; owning someone was normal. of course, at the same time, ky didn’t care about what people thought. well, most of the time at least, “just… give me a chance.”
“Oh yeah? Watch your left foot.” She nudged it a little farther with her own foot so his stance was correct. “I’d love to go look at some weapons with you. Are they purchasable weapons?” Colleen moved again, this time behind him. Her hands slid over his and helped him with the motion of the katana. “What do you mean? What happened a few years back?”
The idea of Col learning something from Ky almost made her laugh, but she couldn’t help but think that maybe he was right. It wasn’t like she had that many friends in the city anyways and Ky was certainly one of those unusual friends.
A faint chuckle escaped his lips as he shifted his foot after it was nudged; just to make sure he was doing everything correctly. It would take time, he knew that better than anyone else to master it, but just knowing would be enough for now ( or so he hoped ), “Well, i decided i could take on some sort of hell-beast,” he said, “Don’t really remember what it’s called, but think of something out of Dante’s inferno. Something that’s huge — nine to fifteen feet tall.”
Of course, he doubted that she would even believe him, but all the same… he didn’t want to face something like that again anytime soon, “I made quite a few extended family members angry and well… let’s just say that the challenge wasn’t as fun as i thought it was.” rather, he survived when the intention was to die… mostly.
“….Ky why the hell would you buy me? And no you do not get to own me, that is not how that works at all. Also slavery has been outlawed for years.”
he was going to say he got bored and did it out of a way to cure that little itch that was nagging at him. instead, ky simply gave a slight shrug of his shoulders, “you speak as if i follow human laws,” a pause, “for the record, i don’t, but keep deluding yourself with that.”
“Okay let’s go over this again. You bought a BUILDING but not me. I don’t come with it, Ky.”
“i bought the building and all the contents inside. contents meaning you and i do believe the amount i had to shell out for this place was decent. considering… it was just for one human.”
“Well, “ he said, “I might have to take you somewhere if we get time. it’s not the best place i’ve been, but they have have exquisite weapons.” It was a simple offhanded comment, one that he would have kept to himself if it was anyone else, but Colleen, ( for better or ill ) was someone that he trusted enough to not be worried around.
“Either way, i’ll be here a while, and maybe you can learn a few things from me.” a slight grin pulled at his lips for a few moments, “truth be told, this would have come in handy a few years back…just saying,”
he should have known when to keep his mouth shut; keeping his lips sealed would have done wonders. yet, at the same time, he still didn’t feel like he needed friends… let alone one’s that were actually willing to put themselves on the line for him. “i need…” he sucked in a deep breath before letting it out slowly, “…to do this on my own. anyone else is just dead weight.”
“Depends, but honestly, I do think murder is still murder. Either way? I’ll finish it, but only if you… let me show you a fun time later. I mean, there are thousands of people in the city, and who cares if just… a few of them vanish?”
“You know, if I was to.. let’s say smile, it would cause a chain reaction that would shatter the universe.” Actually, it would just mean he was about to kill everyone in the room, but that was quite honestly… besides the point, “I don’t need… feelings. They are dangerous.”
