She narrowed a singular eye on him, giving him the fish eye.
“You know who I am?” Piper rolls her eyes. “I never thought I would ever have
the call to use that line. Please…forget I said that. I didn’t say that.” She
pauses and smirks, taking a chance. “Mine’s Piper.”
“It sure sounds like you did.” Or maybe, he had just heard it wrong. Either way, he wasn’t going to press the matter too much. Not really at any-rate. “And for the record, I know you better than I did a few minutes ago, Piper.”
“I’m sure…” Piper stared him down for a moment before replying further. “And I guess you think this face says I buy that…” Rather cynical, but hey, this wasn’t just a walk in the park…anymore.
“Just take a step back and don’t think about blinking.” Just…covering her bases. Just in case… “What’s your name?”
taking a step back was easy. after-all, if he wanted to really hurt someone, it would have been from a longer range than just close distance. “it’s ky’lar.” he was opening up with a truth and hopefully… that would help his position. though, he should have said more… much more in-fact, but he wanted to keep it short, simple, and to the point.
