“DON’T  YOU  THINK  IF  i’m  going  to  be  whisked  away  somewhere,  i  have  a  right  to  know?”  brow  arched,  arms  crossing  over  her  chest.  at  least  she  could  take  some  small  comfort  in  knowing  she  wouldn’t  die.  but  then  again,  she  never  was  one  to  trust,  easily.

“YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to shut up.” if ky wanted to, he could have simply admitted the truth, but why do that? there was no need to – not now at least. “you’re going to be my GUEST for something – that’s all you need to know.”

“I’D MUCH RATHER  you  tell  me  why  you  want  me  to  go  with  you.”  maybe  she’s  flirting  with  danger,  but  then  again,  arianna  has  never  done  things  the  easy  way.

“DO YOU REALLY want to know why?” maybe she did, but ky didn’t think the reasons were that important.  well, not to him at least – her was another story. “LET’S just say… you may not like the answer, but i can tell you  it’s NOT fatal.”

“WELL THAT IS ASSUMING i want to go willingly in the first place. what makes you think i will? better yet, why the hell do you want me to go with you?”

“I CAN BE QUITE PERSUASIVE with i wish to be.” or,  when he chose to actually put his mind to something more than just playing a part. “– must i give you an example?”

“WELL AREN’T YOU MELODRAMATIC.”  a scoff.  what i’m saying is that you’re not going to murder me if i’m in your company, or beat me up and kidnap me.”   a hand gestures vaguely to the air.

“I WON’T DO ANYTHING FATAL,” he said bluntly. “it’s also NOT kidnapping if you go willingly,  is it?” a grin spread across his lips. “in other words? RELAX.”

image

REALLY? SHE NEEDED TO  explain her definition of trouble? “ uh, how about the kind where i don’t end up beat, dead, or kidnapped. hm? how about that?”

IF WE’RE BEING HONEST,” he said, “i think that’s a normal day to day thing.” at least with him. still, there was a shrug. “people die all the time. you just get used to it after a while.”
