“This was my plan all along.” // luci

betrayal was like air to the both of them. they pushed, they pulled, and they made sure that everything good between them was destroyed. somedays, they were content… they had a fake sense of decency between them.

then, there were day’s like this. each word was meant to dig deeper into the other; tearing everything apart until there were only shards. ky’lar was bullet proof to most things lucifer had said in the past – fighting was commonplace. he knew it better than anything these days and it was a reason to why his only response was confusion.

ky’lar tried everything to make things work. to give up what he wanted… just to be with HIS archangel and now this? if it was anyone else, he would have ended them a long time ago or even left, but… it wasn’t.

no, it was lucifer and there was no escaping… not even if he wanted to, “you could have fooled me.” the words were stated bluntly as he leaned his head back, “end it then. ‘cause, i have nothing else left… besides you.”

A grim sort of satisfaction bled over the archangels face as he notes that his words had hurt. Their true intention realized and he would simply sit back and watch the pain fester. He was a malicious man by trade, made that way by a long passed betrayal and whilst some thought he could change he knew he wouldn’t. The festering of being someone everyone hated, or doing his own thing and watching pain and suffering unfold was something he delighted in. Even if he demon that was suffering was one he had an ounce of affection for – however tainted it was now.

Yet tainted was who he was and everything he touched turned sour so there was no surprise that this had. And yet they did nothing to remove the venom that coursed between them. If anyting they simply added to it for sheer glee. If it’s nothing then why act so suspicious. The question was innocent and yet the tone in which he delivered it as accusing enough as it was.

every time he got on equal footing with the other, it was ripped away from him; words hurt and each one created fresh wounds. sometimes, he could ignore them, but at the same time… they were still there. a reason to why he attempted to let them affect him as much as they did.

yet, there was no denying that every-time he tried to break away, and do what he enjoyed… he was followed. he was watched and it was annoying. everything he did was reported and it was why he had to play it off as nothing. just… so he could have some sort of freedom, but there was doubt that even that would last anymore.

“how would you feel if you had demon’s following you all the time. just… watching and reporting your every move.” he folded his arms firmly over his chest, “it’s… uncomfortable and… i needed time alone.” ///  @sorrowsfate

He knew Ky’lar would never stop lying, it was honestly the thing that made all their games that much more amusing. He hid things, and so did Ky and it made their battles all the more amusing as they worked to break down each others walls. Digging into the information that they could get a hold of and using it as leverage. It made their interactions much more fiery.

He raises an eyebrow towards the other as he shakes his head with nothing but humor dancing within his tone. It amused him how Ky always seemed to think he has the upper hand when in reality right now neither of them really do. Minus the fact of what Marrick had in his hands.

Ya think i haven’t killed a demon before. But you forget mate, hellhounds have the ability to kill demons more easy than anyone else. Pissing me off right now is not fun.

there was no doubt that if marrick got the chance, he would do whatever was needed to kill him, and the demon was fine with that. death, it was honestly what he had wanted for years — anything to maybe get some peace. not to say he enjoyed his few nice moments he had alive… there was just too much bad that it outweighed all the good.

not that he would ever admit that, his own death-wish was just to take on anyone, and beat them. if he died? well, maybe he would at least be away from it all — maybe even be able to get something good out of all the bad he’s been through. yet, he doubted it would ever happen… he doubted that anything would ever change.

after-all, he was just a demon… an abomination… a mistake. it had been drilled into his head for as long as he could remember and he doubted it would change now. a reason to why he took another opportunity to finally end it… once and for all.

“do it.”

He could almost taste in the air how much the other wanted to tear him apart. Wanting to kill him and simply get it over with and it did nothing more than start a fire of glee within the hellhounds stomach. He knew that anyone else wouldn’t get amused at the prospect of the anger burning in the other, anger that could one day lead to his death but then again Marrick was not normal, not under any circumstances and maybe that was what amused him more. A hellhound and a demon learning they’d never get along and in some form of future one would kill the other. They’d already placed the strings of fate in place.

They’d fight, bicker till one died, it was simple to see and yet Marrick kept stoking the fire. Allowing it to burn brighter and it amused him. Lips turn up as he looks at the other, eyes swimming with his humor as well as mischief which signalled he wasn’t ending it all anytime soon. You ain’t my type handsome, nice try though. He leant close, close enough the other could reach out and maybe that was a bad idea but he’d yet to do a good one so what was the difference.

his fingers twitched slightly as marrick was just in range. ky could just very easily grab them and make his move. a caged beast would do anything to get out — why shouldn’t ky do the same? it was only logical, he would get out eventually, but first… he would take out his prime enemy. take out the hound and then he could get out another way. it wasn’t smart, not in the slightest, but… he didn’t care.

all ky’lar wanted at the moment was the other’s death and then he could manage to find a way out… one way or another. a reason to why he moved to take the chance — gripping the other’s clothing tightly to yank him into the bars. it wouldn’t be much, not even enough to do what he wanted, but it would be a start, “now, here are your choices. you let me out or you die. i really hope you chose the second one.” //  @sorrowsfate

Lucifer had listened to every lie that had existed and well she knew when to spot one and knew when things happened. It’s why she wasn’t so blind to what Ky’lar had done and she was giving him a chance to right it all. As it stood he seemed to just be digging himself a larger hole. She guessed it was a good thing she liked him otherwise he’d already be dead, as it were she stands watching him with amusement.

Dark eyes dancing with shaded pleasure at the awkwardness bleeding off the other. It was something not many say and yet Lucifer could see it and it was enough to make her laugh – a deep rich laugh that didn’t fit with her new vessel and yet spoke clearly of the one to whom was occupying it. Of course not – for you do it again and you won’t be standing her throwing half assed apologies at me. you’d simply be dead. The words were spoken with a contradiction to the truth laced in one simple sentence mixed with the innocence of her tone.

ky had his doubts about lucifer’s threat due to history. they both had caused so much pain to each other and yet…. he would never leave. no, ky made the decision long go that he would rather be lucifer’s ‘demon’, and be with him than on his own.

at least then… he wouldn’t have to worry about being hunted and he felt alive ( most days ). it was the one place that he actually thought was ‘right’ for him and it was why he was grasping to any small threads of string he could get his hands on.

“i know.” the words, however, were spoken as just above a mumble, “i’m sorry.”

Some wounds tended to burn and fester and even when they’d heal they’d itch reminding of the cause of such a wound. He knew this to be true and the wounds inflicted by both their actions would be ones they were feeling for a long time. Even when healed the itch would never disappear and consistently be burning.

Forgive or forget was not something that Lucifer knew, he tended to store any slights towards him and hold them before ensuring he found a way to exact his revenge. He wasn’t quite sure if he was going to exact any on Ky and that was something time would tell. But for one thing everyone knew, the ‘devil’ was not known for his patience.

An eyebrow quirks at his question and mulls it over for a few moments. Right now i don’t know. And that question alone was probably the most truth he’d spoken in the last year alone.

he had to try, he always had to try. it wouldn’t be what they had before — nothing could get them to that point, but as per-usual, it was all trying to rebuild the pieces.

as much as ky’lar wanted to keep things together, part of him always wanted to destroy it. to rip it apart until all the good was destroyed and fire was left in their wake. he loved the thrill, loved the idea of getting under the archangel’s skin, but at the same time…it was a recipe for disaster.

and yet, ky knew that he couldn’t say he was sorry. he wasn’t sorry, not for anything truly. he would say he was, even attempt to prove it, but he never was. it was all just words to him with no real meaning.

a reason to why he was willing to put something more on the line…. he was willing to actually admit that he was wrong, but at the last moment… ky’lar refused to say what was needed. instead, he just slid his arms across his chest firmly, “well, you know where i’ll be.”

// @sorrowsfate

Nor is it in the same sentence as me so take it as sweet irony. he drawls lightly as he watches the other with steely eyes. If anyone else had asked him to babysit the demon he’d have wandered off from his post and let him do as he must but considering in some ways Lucifer was his father he guessed he best listened to them. Well yeah, it’s not on my to-do list to go and stab him in the back like it is yours. The smirk was one of glee as he rearranges his shoulder where he was leant on the door way, dark eyes never straying from the other.

Hmm, so do you think i’m the only one guarding you. Say what would you do if there were guards from me to the room Luci is in. What would you do then. Can’t take em all. Now curiosity stemmed his words, curious as to what the other would do faced with the new challenge.

in truth, the hound was right; he couldn’t take everyone on, but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t stop him from attempting. anyone that knew ky decently well knew that he had suicidal tendencies. it didn’t matter how he laced them, they were there, and everyone knew.

“you underestimate me.” his words were cool as he took another step forward, “think about this, I get through you, i get through whoever is next, and then i get to lucifer.” part of him felt like he was trapped or even… being hidden away as a little secret. another part thought he was a prisoner, but ky knew that wasn’t his situation… it couldn’t be.

“ i don’t fear you, him… or anyone that is thrown at me. i never have.”
