she’s familiar with that response and it doesn’t help her feel comfortable. if anything it stresses her a little. maybe she’s over reacting– for all she knows it could be as simple as soul searching. but sam didn’t want to risk it. ❝ you never know. books are pretty good at have answers. maybe you haven’t found the right one?❞
❝ I’ve looked from biblical archives from New York to here. ❞ He pinched the bridge of his eyes for a few moments, ❝ Even some pre-biblical, ❞ and he never was able to find what he was looking for. ❝ Don’t think i’m looking for is in a book. At least around here. ❞
❝ that explains the studying. ❞ she takes the book and smiles. ❝ thank you. ❞ but she can’t take her eyes off all of his books. it reminds her of how her family would study before going off onto a hunt. all that reading… she came here to get away from that, not fall back into it. ❝ wh– what kind of answer? ❞ –she really needs to work on her curiosity.
❝ you wouldn’t believe me even if i explained. ❞ then again, most would just roll their eyes, and think he was writing. no, he wasn’t doing that, but rather, trying to find a connection — one that so far had lead up to false answers and fabricated stories. ❝ — maybe my answer is out there. not with books that are shit for answers. ❞ though, at the same time, ky knew that the answer to his questions would be dangerous. maybe even more so than what he already found out.
❝thank – you?❞ she isn’t sure if he’s actually grateful for her sudden interruption or not. but his book selection, from what she can see, is unique. it raises some red flags for her. but surely not everything in the whole world has to be hunting related; right?❝ are you studying bible… stuff?❞ her book on the judicial branch sticks out like a sore thumb.
He should have been more polite. If given the chance, he more than likely would have been, but that wasn’t him. Not anymore at least. Even as he reached up for the book, he still was a bit disheartened he didn’t find what he was looking for. Not that he thought he would anytime soon, but there was some hope that he could find at least a clue.
❝ I don’t believe in that crap. ❞ Ky’lar said, handing the book to her, ❝ Just searching for an answer. One… that I won’t find here at any rate. ❞
❝ er – don’t mind me! ❞ she is running on four cups of coffee and an energy drink; not one of her smartest choices. but it allowed her to avoid the nightmares and keep up with her college work. although samantha has forgotten some of her manners. ❝ i’m just trying to reach that book up waaaay there!❞
He had been nose deep in a book about legends. Specifically, biblical ones, and built on myth. So far, Ky’lar hadn’t gotten very far, and he was yanked back into reality by the other. His own stack of books wasn’t too high – for today –, but there were still around twelve beside him, ❝ —- And you want me to get it for you? ❞ Obviously, he wasn’t trying to be be rude, but it more than likely came out that way as he threw his current book into the pile that was beside him, ❝ A change of pace at least. I’ve been getting nowhere. ❞
