Resting his chin on top of his hands, Dante leans forward expectantly. Using Rebellion as a prop, he idly twists and turns the large sword this way and that, doing what he can to kill time as he waited for the other to return, which should have been a matter of minutes, at most. When that soon reached into the dozens and then hour long stretches, the slacker began to worry somewhat…moreso for the condition of the book he had asked Ky to retrieve rather than the man himself.

Thankfully, when a circle of fire begins to appear on the ground nearby, scorching the grass, Dante’s concerns subside. Waving a greeting, he sits up straight, all at once animated by the other demon’s eventual return.

“Hey, took you long enough kid. Didja get lost along the way or somethin’?”

it took a long amount of time due to the fact that he ran into complications. even if he wanted to come back sooner, there was no chance to do so, and things would have been worse. a reason to why the demon was far later than expected… even if it meant making dante wait for what could have seemed like an eternity.

“i don’t like being anyone’s errand boy.” or, rather, he hated that he was the one who went in after it. especially when he would have enjoyed doing anything else. though, he did get what was requested… even if he hated every moment he was after it.

“so, next time you wanna ask me to do something for you? don’t.”

Giving the idea some thought, Dante mulled over its pros and cons. On the one hand, it would be a fine chance to test his endurance, see how much he could withstand especially where magic was concerned. On the other hand…it could kill him…but even with such a risk, he was willing to oblige Ky, his client – and payment – momentarily forgotten. “Fine. You can use me as your test mule then.”

Sheathing his sword, Dante folds his arms in expectation. “Let’s get this over and done with.”

the demon didn’t expect dante would honestly agree —- what ky was planning was dangerous. even more so since it required him to push himself to it’s limit’s and one wrong move could ultimately send him down a road he would never come back from. if he couldn’t regain control of himself, ky’lar knew he would be forever stuck in his rage, but this was worth it — to discover a  way how to control himself and suppress his demonic tendencies
