Well, he wasn’t PERFECT, and Ky’lar firmly believed that he HADN’T done anything wrong. In his mind, he was doing what he ALWAYS did when he got into one of his more VIOLENT moods. he did what he WANTED and then attempted to TALK his way out of what he had DONE —- even when the EVIDENCE was right in-front of everyone.

Ky’lar NEVER thought he would hear those words from Magneto of all people. After-all,, his stay was only TEMPORARY, and he made sure to EMPHASIZE that fact OFTEN. If he had a CHOICE in the matter, he would have STAYED permanently, but REALITY showed OTHERWISE.
If he stayed, it would make matters WORSE for the Brotherhood, and that would lead to MORE problems. They wouldn’t just be up against their USUAL enemies , but against the more DEMONIC sort that would ULTIMATELY lead to a CHOICE that Ky’lar wasn’t ready to make.
Though, as it was, part of him KNEW that he would HAVE to move on, and it was already CLEAR that the DATE was moving closer. Eventually, he would be DRAGGED back to the one PLACE that he RAN from, and there would be no way to STOP it.
Well, not with out SEVERAL calculated RISKS that could ULTIMATELY either leave him POWERLESS or DEAD. A reason to why he hadn’t planned on BRINGING up the option —- something he DEEPLY regretted.

In a PERFECT world, he would have LISTENED first before giving his ANSWER, and THOUGHT things through. Sadly enough, this WASN’T
a perfect world; Ky’lar KNEW that no matter what was said, he wouldn’t ENJOY it, and it was WHY he wasn’t going to BUDGE from his PROCLAMATION unless it was something truly DECENT that BENEFITED himself in some way.
What he UNDERSTOOD was that he came here to ENJOY himself and NOT get caught up in a WAR between MUTANTS and HUMANITY. If he OFFERED his ASSISTANCE, he would do so on his OWN terms, and he wouldn’t be FORCED into anything else.
He stated the OBVIOUS as Ky’lar was getting UNCOMFORTABLE with how things were GOING. It wasn’t that he CARED for humanity, but it was the LIVES that would be LOST fighting for this CAUSE.
Either way, it was QUITE clear that he was spendingFAR too much time AROUNDhumans —- another REASON to why he was locked away in a DEATH dimension in the FIRST place ( before escaping of course ).
His anger showed through his USUAL attitude of not CARING about anything at all, but this was more IMPORTANT than his personal views, and far more WORTHY of his attention.
Ky’lar didn’t ENJOY raising his VOICE toward Magneto, but he wanted his thoughts HEARD on the matter. All that did was EXPLAINING what he meant — even if that meant RISKING everything that he had here.

His lips then formed into a thin-line as he took a step forward: NOT to issue a THREAT, but more so of a WARNING.

Such a STUBBORN mind. Magneto had NO room to talk on obstinance…and it was CLEAR from the moment they met, that moments like THESE were inevitable.
That didn’t stop his TONE from turning HARSH the next minute as he moved CLOSER to invade the other man’s space, MUCH like they had in the first ENCOUNTER.

He took his shoulder in a firm GRASP, keeping him in place.
❛ I will temporarilyOVERLOOK that you were ALMOST captured and placed in a CAGE for the amusement of your INFERIORS. Instead I will SIMPLY tell you this, harness a MEASURE of SELF PRESERVATION. I will NOT STAND for the DAY where I must BURY you – that’s NOT how it WORKS. Do you understand? ❜
The fact of stating that he UNDERSTOOD and actually would take it to HEART was two separate matters all TOGETHER. Lying would get him NOWHERE with Mutant, it would just SHATTER whatever TRUST the both of them had.
Not that it would MATTER much : Ky’lar always thought of this as a TEMPORARY situation. One that would END when the time CAME for it.
Although, the fact of the matter was he WASN’T going to leave any time soon : no matter what he was, he wasn’t going to BREAK his word — he said he would TRY it, and that meant until he got TIRED or BORED of the Brotherhood.

The words came out much HARSHER than intended, but all the same, Ky’lar MEANT every one of them

Even if they did, it WASN’T something that he was willing to EVER think about. He could HANDLE himself, it had been done BEFORE, and would be done several times again.
A reason to why he was CONFIDENT in his abilities —- even if there wasn’t exactly any BASIS in fact to it.

Grounding him WOULDN’T do much, not really, but he never TOOK it well. More to the point, he was USED to getting what he WANTED, and it was RARE that he was DENIED anything…. even up to and INCLUDING his freedom.
of course he knew that this was a bad idea to TEXT him, but at the same time, it was a VALID question —- even if it wasn’t exactly the PROPER time for it.
as such, a deep sigh escaped his lips as he moved to send a short text back, and he knew he would have to keep TEXTS to a minimum… hopefully.

He had ALWAYS been RECKLESS and BOLD when it came to what he truly wanted to do. There was always AMUSEMENT to be had and it didn’t matter WHO got hurt by it. Human, MUTANT, or otherwise, they were ALL the same to him —- just SOMEONE in his way that would be REMOVED one way or another.

However, Ky’lar FAILED to see WHY he should PERSONALLY care about how he APPROACHED things. In his mind, as long as he got the job DONE, that was all that mattered, and anything else was just FILTER.
It was becoming increasingly clear that this boy was not so different from his father. The apple didn’t FALL far from the tree, Magneto thought. It was too bad, because the attitude could easily get him KILLED in the future.
But he was right, that wasn’t on Magneto, that was entirely on Ky. If it ended up killing him, what would it MATTER to Magneto in the end? In fact, it might be an AMUSING piece of news to hear later on.
The demon may not BELIEVE he needed guidance, but Magneto believed otherwise.
Magneto reached up between them to flick a droplet of BLOOD away from the side of his face. He hardly knew him, and yet he could already tell his spirit was not one to be TIED down, to be restrained. If he was caught, and the humans didn’t do everything in their power to kill him, provided he didn’t escape. Magneto had SEEN their defenses, seen what they could and would do.
And it was BETTER not to take that risk.

Magneto turned his back on him once more and then this time, he lifted from the air, hovering a few feet above the other, preparing his DEPARTURE.
❛ Come with ME. I command the Brotherhood of Mutants. Perhaps the reputation SPEAKS for itself. But we could BENEFIT by having someone like you on our side. You’re FREE to leave at any TIME, of course. ❜
He was NOT trying to imply in the slightest that he was intending on taking him prisoner or against his will. This was a CHOICE. It was IMPERATIVE it stayed that way. There was a pause where Magneto weighed his next words carefully.
❛ —— I’d HATE to see you make the same mistakes as Mephistopheles. I think you’re SMARTER than that. Same spirit…and perhaps the same level of PRIDE…❜
Magneto looked more AMUSED than chastising, a glint playing in his eyes at his description.
❛ But reasonable, nonetheless. Take it into CONSIDERATION at least.❜
Detestable or otherwise, there were ALREADY limited options that Ky’lar had. If this had been YEARS ago, he might have STOOD a chance trying to BLEND in with the rest of HUMANITY, but that time was LONG past.
To even ATTEMPT such actions would be IDIOTIC these days. He wasn’t here to ESCAPE from another realm, but rather, to ENJOY himself before being DRAGGED back.
The OFFER, for all that it was WOULD be taken; not due to the fact he NEEDED help, but rather, it would more than likely ASSIST him in the near future.
Of course, KNOWING that he was FREE to make his exit at ANY given time was one BENEFIT; staying confined was never something he ENJOYED and it wouldn’t CHANGE depending on where he was.
Amusing as their CONVERSATION may be, there WASN’T any trust there; that would have meant that he had CONFIDENCE in the other.
So far, that was YET to be seen, but things could change QUICKLY given the right set of CIRCUMSTANCES.

His words were shot back at the other with more than ENOUGH anger. It may have been unintentional, but at the same time, he wished to DISTANCE himself from Mephistopheles as much as POSSIBLE.

It didn’t mean he WOULDN’T make the EXACT same one’s, but rather, he didn’t want his own ACTIONS compared to ANYONE else —- it didn’t matter if they were RELATED to him or not.
Distance was NECESSARY as ky’lar didn’t want to be JUDGED on what anyone else had done. At the same TIME he often HID behind selfish REASONS due to the fact it SUITED his needed, and usually kept him alive.
Either way, he RESTRAINED himself from making any ACTIONS he would REGRET later down the road. Not that it would matter eventually; he ALWAYS ended up MESSING with the ORDER of things and NEEDING allies to help CLEAN up his MESSES.
It was for that VERY reason it was in his best INTERESTS to take the OFFER and not ask QUESTIONS ( at least for the time being. ).

Though, mainly, that was due to the fact that he STILL needed to get USED to earth again, and maybe it would give him a CHANCE to relax.
