in his mind, it was possible to lie to anyone. it didn’t matter what abilities they had — if someone started believing a lie, it became a truth some way or another. not that it mattered excessively to him. whatever abilities she had wasn’t of interest to him. nor did he think it ever would be.
nevertheless, he still couldn’t hold back his usual snark, “my dear, if i wanted to lie to you, you’d know it.” though, he left off a majority of what he wanted to say, he still somehow hoped he would manage to get somewhat of his original point across. “on the same note, i highly doubt man applies to someone like me anymore.”

HE HAD SENIORITY DUE TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF HIS CREATION. besides that, there was NOTHING MORE THAN – LIMITED – ACTIONS that secured his POSITION OVER THEM. the lesser demons who SERVED WITH GLEE; it was their PURPOSE after-all.
ky’lar AFFIRMED HIS POSITION through the usual means of FEAR AND INSULTS; assuring DOMINANCE was key.
ALL DEMONS WERE PATHETIC. the lower ones MORE SO THAN ANY OTHER. it didn’t matter HOW they came to be; former humans or otherwise. they served all the same.
“—- you SURE about that?” the question was asked so he could HEAR the words of demon, TO SEE THEM ADMIT THEIR WORTH. they wouldn’t get anywhere — that was already ASSURED. so why not make sure they didn’t have any delusions. “’cause, i don’t think you are.”

pulling himself wouldn’t be easy. he knew that to start with and that it wouldn’t easy. more to the point, he knew that it was needed, and that he couldn’t stay this way forever. it wasn’t doing him any good nor was it for anyone else around him.
‘what if i can’t?’ if he tried, if he really tried, maybe ky could dig himself out of the mood he was in. he just didn’t think it was possible. nor did he truly believe it was worth it. all he had to do was control himself — keep under the radar for a few more days before doing something drastic.
that would make his mood improve tenfold, but he was trying to be better. trying and ultimately failing. he just needed to keep his head on straight. keep it up for a few more days… that was it.

“i don’t break my deals, thor.” well, most of the time. once in a while, the demon was forced to break them due to… situations, and he had to personally deal with the consequences. if it meant getting thor to put some faith in him? so be it, ky would make sure to keep to his word, and not betray the other. well, it would be worth it. he knew it would.
“more to the point,” he continued, “if it means you’ll get off my back for while? well, maybe i won’t betray you.” on the other hand, he never could get over the enjoyment of betraying someone at the right moment. a reason to why the option was on the table, but.. it wouldn’t be chosen. not until there was no other alternative.

of course. he should have expected as such from someone like him. why should he have even tried to in the first place? people — human or otherwise were all the same. it didn’t matter their species… they all were below him — well, not archangels, but that was besides the point. they all had their problems and they all disliked when people cared ( most of the time ).
“yeah, not your pal, an’ most certainly… not your friend.”

‘or maybe, i just don’t have the patience.’ not that it mattered to him. ky wanted so badly to make her happy – no, impressed that he could change. the only problem was he couldn’t. not like this and not anytime soon. he was just too stubborn and had far too much of his father in him. ‘restraining myself from doing anything… like murder is hard. even more so when they are just asking for it.’ // @dusttcdusk xxx

having someone who actually cared for him was still… new. others had attempted to do so in the past, but simply gave up. he was just a mistake after-all, something that was created as an accident, and having someone who didn’t think that was odd. more to the point, he never really had someone who was a real mother. so, the idea of having someone who cared – with out true judgement or scorn – was foreign to him.
it was to that very reason he didn’t know exactly how to even act around her. behaving was one thing he had never properly learned, but still… he didn’t understand why eve put up with him. yet, he still tried to be… somewhat better. sure, it may not have been working, but he was putting some effort into it… even if it was slim.
‘i’ll try.’ he was going to give off a speech about how he didn’t believe it mattered, but for now, he was going to hold his tongue in check. if not for himself… to try to at least give her some rest from his usual antics. ‘won’t work, but i’ll attempt it.’

that was always the question wasn’t it? how would someone define misbehaving. sometimes, it was burning down buildings, or even a whole country side
“usually murder. just depends on the day. ”
not exactly the day, but rather his mood. he was prone to violence; it was the only action that cured that little itch under his skin – that little insatiable need that never could fully be scratched. fighting or murder. it didn’t matter to him, but one usually lead to the other. there was no in between. well, not with him at least.
“what is yours?”

“just do as i say.” he was going to continue on saying that they should stick to the plan, but it wasn’t worth the effort the effort. “can you do that?”
