he already knew that this wasn’t the best way to save someone. in truth, he could have just teleported in, and ended it right then. of course, the problem with that was amusement. if anything, ky’lar enjoyed the thrill of killing someone. even more so when he let himself go.

true, it had been years since he rampaged around with little care in the world, but this time there was a purpose behind his actions. this time, he was doing it to find someone he cared for. he wouldn’t exactly call it caring, but that was the best way for him to explain it. attachment, for what it was worth, was dangerous. very dangerous.

a reason to why ky even thought this was due to his involvement with her. something… that he would take responsibility for when the time around to it. “playing hero,” his words came out more annoyed than anything else as he ran a hand under her chin, “and saving you.”

“Doesn’t everyone?” Though Hell wouldn’t be on most people’s lists, he probably had an advantage finding it amusing for a time… a little less devastating on the psyche. “Maybe talk to a witch, if you think you can trust them. Surely they have some sort of selective amnesia spell up their sleeves.”

image

“ wouldn’t know. ” then again, he also didn’t care, “ witches are… unpredictable. demons might be bad, but they don’t break their deals. in my experience, most witches end up breaking their deals early on, and it’s a reason i avoid them. well, most of them at least.”

to be fair she had  every intention of getting off him if he
really wanted her to. annoying  him is only fun if he went
along with her antics and most of the time he wouldn’t. if
she pushed his buttons, he returns the favor. she’s about
to do as he  says until he tacked on the last part, interest
peaked by it. amuse you how? it’s not my fault if you’re
perpetually grumpy. so grumpy in fact that he makes her
erratic moods seem mild.

“i’m not always grumpy.” rather, he was. ky was always
grumpy, but he never would admit that. not to anyone
and certainly not to her. though, in truth, he felt like he
always had to defend himself around her, and that
was… annoying, “i just don’t like anything.”

‘sometimes i wonder if anyone has a choice in anything these days. the angels are running around, putting people in positions they shouldn’t have to be in and claiming its all about some larger bullshit plan.’ as far as she was concerned the angels were ten times worse than demons ever were.

‘well, angels, all angels are jerks.’ and that was putting it lightly, ‘they think they are following some divine plan, and that they are the only one’s who know how anyone should behave.’ there was a roll of his eyes, ‘if it was up to me, all angels, no matter what side they were on, would be extinct.’

Blue eyes roll at the demons words as he shuffles slightly more against the doorway he was leaning against. The other’s WORDS simply falling into the air between them and just sitting there. I don’t UNDERESTIMATE you mate, but you are underestimating all the demons and others between you and Lucifer. All of them loyal to him. Including my mother who by the way would love to rip your throat out. So do tell me how you’d get past all them and then to Lucifer. Considering unlike you we’re all following his orders.

He wasn’t bragging, if anything he was dragging plans out of the other. Wanting to know what he would do so he coud adjust accordingly. And one thing Marrick had learnt was that Ky’lar loved to fucking talk. And you need to work on your poker face mate, i can see you do infact fear Lucifer. You’d be an IDIOT not too.

fearing lucifer was something that he had personally pushed to the back of his mind due to the fact he had no reason to fear him. when things were good, ky didn’t care how powerful the other was, and in truth, he still didn’t care. the only problem was it was a duality of sorts — to admit that he feared lucifer meant there was no way to get out of the problem with him, and in his mind? there always was a way out… especially with luci.

not that he would ever let that be known; his own assumptions were his own. they meant nothing in reality, but a starting point for himself. it was to that reason that he had a silence, he wanted to form a plan to get to lucifer, and demand to know answers. the only problem with that was it would be not just difficult with this new information. it may even be impossible.

“his orders are wrong.” it was a bold statement, but for the time being, he didn’t exactly care about the ramifications of his actions, “and they suck. a reason to why i’m getting out of here… through you if need be.”

On the one hand, she understood what he meant – pick your battles and all that – but sometimes, you had to take a risk. “Okay, but why not stack the cards in your favor? Cheat or whatever it takes. It doesn’t matter how you win, so long as you do win.”

image

“well, if i win, i win, but not everything can be cheated.” he had tried for years to out-wit his father, but always seemed to fall short. well, either that, or he was being watched most of the time. so, failing at times was the per-usual, but he did have backup pans, and only some of the time did those fail, “so, if i win? well, i win.”

“     and i assume then, your reasoning for telling me this bit of information, is that in the long run it might be beneficiary for both our interests.     ”

image

“it’s more so you understand my stance on things.” or, in short, why ky would leave the moment things were turned against him, but that was another factor entirely, “ when push comes to shove… i take care of myself.” usually.
