_{The reality of the situation was Ky couldn’t predict what the response from Charles would be. Admitting the truth -in any situation- was dangerous, but there were specific times that it was needed. This was one of those rare times. If he didn’t at least acknowledge the situation for what it was, there was a high like likelihood that some miscommunication could potentially arise. It was to that reason he knew there was only a few possible options. Declaring he didn’t trust the other was simply tactics – so Charles would know the truth… even though Ky knew he most likely didn’t have to speak it for the other to know in some way.}

_{“If we’re being honest, I don’t think I ever can.” There was a slight possibility, but even Ky knew that it was slim. He didn’t need to trust someone like him. Not now… not when it would only make things worse. “All I want is control – nothing else.”}

_{Ky knew the words well; he’d heard it before from his family and even his so called friends. Everyone thought they knew what as right – especially when it came to Ky- and usually it caused more harm than good. He wasn’t one to trust – didn’t even enjoy having friends or allies.}
