❝ Maybe if you’re blind ya won’t see it. ❞ Eyebrow raising as she watches him for a few moments. ❝ I may be old but i aren’t senile nor stupid. ❞
“Neither am I, but doesn’t mean i’m gonna change my answer. Either way? I doubt it matters. We all die eventually… I just want to go sooner than most.”
Honestly the archangel wanted to roll her eyes at the way the other was acting. All moody and honestly quite boring in her opinion and she sighs softly as she moves about, a piece of paper in her hand stating what her next movement was going to be. Dark eyes locking on him for a moment as she sighs softly.
❝ No for right now we need the holy squad, so they need to be winged. ❞ she smirks softly as she moves over to him, fingers dancing along the edge of his shoulder. ❝ But i have certain demons down the hall who won’t do what i want them too. So how do you say you help them REMEMBER what it is that happens to people who betray US and don’t do what we want. ❞ Anything to help him improve his mood.
of course they had to be winged; he hated that they had to be that way, but… sometimes he couldn’t get what he wanted. for now, he would have to take his focus off of his usual murder of angels. not that it took much, distract ky long enough, and he would forget his urges towards angels — if only until he got that itch again to take on someone or something that could quite possibly end his existence easily
not that it mattered much these days; given enough time, someone would get around to doing it. a reason to why there were some days were ky just didn’t care about anything… like today. it was just a day to drag his feet through the mud and hope that his mood changed or something gave him a reason to keep on living.
so far, he hadn’t managed to get enough motivation to do more than wish he was gone. honestly, not even lucifer was able to help much these days, but… at her final words, he finally started to come around. a slight grin pulled at his lips, but it faded almost as soon as it appeared, “— i’ll take care of it.” and in doing so… maybe he could get himself out of dumbs and back to his ‘usual’ self.
❝ Oh please, patience isn’t my strong suit. I’m more of a KILL first ask questions never kind of girl. ❞
❝ Is it anyone’s strong suit these days? ❞ A slight grin pulled at his lips for a few moments, ❝ You can’t kill everything…. well, you can, but where would the fun in that be?❞
Nero knew the differences were there, of course they were. It was easy to distunguish. But the one difference were Hellhounds were strong enough to take them on. He rolled his eyes constantly at the children who got murdered by hunters, not knowing who they really were. It was why he was so cocky as well Ky’lar thought he’d killed Nero’ brother but of course that was difference between hellhounds and demons. They didn’t share their secrets. ❝ If you say so. Just like most people don’t have a choice to be stupid. Like you for instance. ❞ And there was the cockiness, the look on his face reading the simple notion of ‘i know something you don’t know’. Childish maybe but now Nero had seen why Marrick annoyed the other so much he was having too much fun.
ky had managed to hear more than enough insults in his life to the point where they rarely ( if ever ) dug deeper than he personally let them. he was a mistake, an abomination, and in his mind… he never was human. maybe at one time he was close to it, but ky’lar gave up that part of himself long ago.
there was no turning back from this, not when he already had given up any sort of ‘life’ he could have had away from hell. not when it was quite clear that the only way he would ever amount to anything was to show and prove what he could do, “i highly doubt that.” even with the look, ky didn’t change his mind on his words, “— but enlighten me. if i’m so stupid… how have i survived this long?”
Even being an archangel Lucifer knew there was no way to avoid change, life moved in a way that certain outcomes were meant to happen no matter what anyone said. If something was going to happen, it would. Time was a stickler like that,it was why the angels had been refused to interfere with it even if they had the option to go backwards. Well certain angels anyway.
As it stood change was about to happen no matter who tried to stop it, their plan being built in stages with continuous back up ones in case some pesky asshole got in the way and well they were close to completion. Whilst before Lucifer had simply wanted to bring doomsday on the world, no she wanted more, she wanted something that even heaven would fall over and she would get it.
Gentle smile lifts over her lips as the other finally responds in a gentle way. ❝ Oh those sons a bitches don’t know what they’re going to get themselves into. ❞
at one point, he would have avoided any of this : sticking to the shadows and waiting for the end of days was easier. keeping his head low and out of trouble was all he hoped for. then things changed, everything changed, and there was no going back. no way to stay away from everything and at the same time… he had gained a real life.
it was the best feeling he ever had in years — to feel alive whenever he was around lucifer. to know, that things were eventually going to get better, and yet… he still couldn’t get the pit out of his stomach. the feeling that he should be dead and that it would be best to act on those feelings, but only when the opportunity presented itself.
“they will be trapped. not to mention confused. if things go right — and they will, they won’t be able to do a damned thing.” even if they could, ky doubted that they would get far, and if ky got the opportunity to murder angels? well, he would take it. // @sorrowsfate
Sometimes it was the gentle moments like this that make him dream for something that was soft and gentle in the hindsight of the turmoil that the two of them seemed to elude from every pore of their bones. He wished to crave it – he wished to hope for it and yet stopped himself from doing it everytime. He knew craving something was dangerous, a weakness he could not prohibit himself from wanting right now.
And yet the demon was the epitome of it and try as he may he could not shove that down to the dark recess of his mind. No matter how much he tried too. A eyebrow quirked at the others words as a small sliver of desire pooled through his veins with a slightly chuckle accompanying his actions. ❝ Haven’t you heard ACTIONS speak louder than words. ❞
these moments were getting rarer and rarer these days. when they came, it was everything he could have hoped for. yet, they always ended. ky never wanted to end, he never wanted to lose that small amount of gentleness in his life, and at the same time… he wanted to TEAR it all way. not due to the fact he disliked it, but rather… deep down… he didn’t DESERVE it.
“do they now?” his lip twitched for a few moments as he made his way forward. getting close enough to wrap his arms around lucifer’s shoulders with a grin, “maybe you should SHOW me instead.”
Eyes danced with humor as the archangel watched the demon, a smirk lifting the edges of his lips with relevant ease as a chuckle light as air formed within his chest and resonatated out around the room with complete and utter ease. Something that he’d not done for a long time. One simple eyebrow quirking in the direction of the other as he stops and watches for a few moments.
❝ Hmm see to those words all i’d say is a simple PROVE IT. ❞ Whilst it was a short statement the weight behind the words was evident in the dancing of truth across his eyes and the way his hands came up to steeple beneath his chin. The challenge layed out as he awaits the move to which the other would make. A game of chess to which he’d just moved his piece.
now proving it was something that he could do. it was rare that ky ever let himself get comfortable around a person and while he had gotten close a few times… he never trusted himself to be around anyone. lucifer, however, was the one exception.
it took time, loads of time, and he had slowly managed to open up to the other. not everything was known, ky didn’t want it to be, but… he was happy. he actually wanted to be with someone who he could be himself around and didn’t have to change.
a reason to why he rubbed at his chin for a few moments; a grin smacked across his face as he spoke, “Well, if you INSIST. I think i’ll PROVE it right now.”
A grim sort of satisfaction bled over the archangels face as he notes that his words had hurt. Their true intention realized and he would simply sit back and watch the pain fester. He was a malicious man by trade, made that way by a long passed betrayal and whilst some thought he could change he knew he wouldn’t. The festering of being someone everyone hated, or doing his own thing and watching pain and suffering unfold was something he delighted in. Even if he demon that was suffering was one he had an ounce of affection for – however tainted it was now.
Yet tainted was who he was and everything he touched turned sour so there was no surprise that this had. And yet they did nothing to remove the venom that coursed between them. If anyting they simply added to it for sheer glee. ❝ If it’s nothing then why act so suspicious. ❞ The question was innocent and yet the tone in which he delivered it as accusing enough as it was.
every time he got on equal footing with the other, it was ripped away from him; words hurt and each one created fresh wounds. sometimes, he could ignore them, but at the same time… they were still there. a reason to why he attempted to let them affect him as much as they did.
yet, there was no denying that every-time he tried to break away, and do what he enjoyed… he was followed. he was watched and it was annoying. everything he did was reported and it was why he had to play it off as nothing. just… so he could have some sort of freedom, but there was doubt that even that would last anymore.
“how would you feel if you had demon’s following you all the time. just… watching and reporting your every move.” he folded his arms firmly over his chest, “it’s… uncomfortable and… i needed time alone.” /// @sorrowsfate
He knew Ky’lar would never stop lying, it was honestly the thing that made all their games that much more amusing. He hid things, and so did Ky and it made their battles all the more amusing as they worked to break down each others walls. Digging into the information that they could get a hold of and using it as leverage. It made their interactions much more fiery.
He raises an eyebrow towards the other as he shakes his head with nothing but humor dancing within his tone. It amused him how Ky always seemed to think he has the upper hand when in reality right now neither of them really do. Minus the fact of what Marrick had in his hands.
❝ Ya think i haven’t killed a demon before. But you forget mate, hellhounds have the ability to kill demons more easy than anyone else. Pissing me off right now is not fun. ❞
there was no doubt that if marrick got the chance, he would do whatever was needed to kill him, and the demon was fine with that. death, it was honestly what he had wanted for years — anything to maybe get some peace. not to say he enjoyed his few nice moments he had alive… there was just too much bad that it outweighed all the good.
not that he would ever admit that, his own death-wish was just to take on anyone, and beat them. if he died? well, maybe he would at least be away from it all — maybe even be able to get something good out of all the bad he’s been through. yet, he doubted it would ever happen… he doubted that anything would ever change.
after-all, he was just a demon… an abomination… a mistake. it had been drilled into his head for as long as he could remember and he doubted it would change now. a reason to why he took another opportunity to finally end it… once and for all.
He could almost taste in the air how much the other wanted to tear him apart. Wanting to kill him and simply get it over with and it did nothing more than start a fire of glee within the hellhounds stomach. He knew that anyone else wouldn’t get amused at the prospect of the anger burning in the other, anger that could one day lead to his death but then again Marrick was not normal, not under any circumstances and maybe that was what amused him more. A hellhound and a demon learning they’d never get along and in some form of future one would kill the other. They’d already placed the strings of fate in place.
They’d fight, bicker till one died, it was simple to see and yet Marrick kept stoking the fire. Allowing it to burn brighter and it amused him. Lips turn up as he looks at the other, eyes swimming with his humor as well as mischief which signalled he wasn’t ending it all anytime soon. ❝ You ain’t my type handsome, nice try though. ❞ He leant close, close enough the other could reach out and maybe that was a bad idea but he’d yet to do a good one so what was the difference.
his fingers twitched slightly as marrick was just in range. ky could just very easily grab them and make his move. a caged beast would do anything to get out — why shouldn’t ky do the same? it was only logical, he would get out eventually, but first… he would take out his prime enemy. take out the hound and then he could get out another way. it wasn’t smart, not in the slightest, but… he didn’t care.
all ky’lar wanted at the moment was the other’s death and then he could manage to find a way out… one way or another. a reason to why he moved to take the chance — gripping the other’s clothing tightly to yank him into the bars. it wouldn’t be much, not even enough to do what he wanted, but it would be a start, “now, here are your choices. you let me out or you die. i really hope you chose the second one.” // @sorrowsfate
