“Many things, not everything. What are you willing to give if you can’t?”
“Do you really want my answer to that? Sure, I might not be a master of everything, but i’m fairly certain we can come to… an arrangement. If i fail that is.”
“I should get something if you can’t.”
“i can do many things. all i need is to put my mind to it.”
“So is murder on your immediate agenda?” Aiming to misbehave did imply he didn’t intend on merely discuss it but had at least vague plans, ones that any reasonable person would suspect involved her. They were the only two people around, and he started the conversation. Better to know where this was heading up front before letting curiosity get the better of her and inquiring about any abilities.
“Not entirely.” However, it was always in the back of his mind. It was that itch he never could fully scratch. Maybe if he had more productive method of curing that itch – one that didn’t amount to violence, things would be a bit better. All the same, he never did enjoy anything other than a good fight, and maybe some murder on the side along with some nice five alarm fires. “I’m just not against it either.”
there were many things he should have gone for; the chest was easier, a larger area, and something that he could focus on. head, arms, – even hands were too small. he chose something he knew well.
sure, he failed his task, but he was at least trying, wasn’t he? maybe if he focused more on the task – instead of control- , he would have actually been able to accomplish it. though, he doubted it would change much. especially since in his mind he’d never be good enough…for anyone. let alone himself.
“you try going for the bloody head an’ see how it turns out – i’m DONE!”
Someone who could singlehandedly snap a tsunami in two shouldn’t forget that same power might summon lightning in a fit of anger and strike any unfortunate passerby, or mistakenly usher in the next ice age. Control and care were things the mutant had been mindful of since her weather manipulation abilities first manifested as a teenager but time hadn’t made the constant vigilance any less draining. For her genuine misbehaving happened during those rare indulgent moments when she’d cut loose bending the heavens to her every whim.
“And since that can easily lead to countless charges of manslaughter I suppose our definitions are not far off.”
“well, my own abilities could be called… many things.”
reckless, volatile, and fatal were just the terms that were usually used. not to mention that he didn’t know the true extent of his powers. well, he knew somewhat of what was possible, but not enough to know how far it went. nor did he have the opportunity to actually test his theories in the way that he needed to.
“murder just seems to be one of the few things i do best.”
@hellfirebound ro is person b and she’d like to add if the longer plan ends in murder the answer is still no
xDDD
that was always the question wasn’t it? how would someone define misbehaving. sometimes, it was burning down buildings, or even a whole country side
“usually murder. just depends on the day. ”
not exactly the day, but rather his mood. he was prone to violence; it was the only action that cured that little itch under his skin – that little insatiable need that never could fully be scratched. fighting or murder. it didn’t matter to him, but one usually lead to the other. there was no in between. well, not with him at least.
