‘ yeah, i know. but, honestly, i don’t give a rat’s ass. ‘ the monster that was dormant inside cole clawed awake at the surface of his skin, and was happy to be free – it was in his smile, it was in his voice, it was in his light gait. another flick on the knife, and his feet pulled him back to lengthen distance between the pair.
stoic soldier, this is your high. as cole wrapped his hand in padding, lacing the white fabric around his digits before wrapping around his palm, his gaze bore ahead of him. the vibrating sensation that drummed at his fingertips was all much like when he was with the angels, tapping into a side of him that was inhumane. ‘ just tell me where the big boss is, and you can go. ‘
he never would tell where his boss was. ky would have suffered a fate worse than death for that. whatever he knew, whatever he really knew about lucifer’s location would never be revealed. it was a secret, one that humans shouldn’t find. after-all, they no longer ruled the earth, and never would again.
‘ you really know nothing about my kind, do you? ’ simple words; said to get a reaction, nothing more, and nothing less. ‘ you’ll never find him. you can torture thousands of demons, but you’ll never get close. not unless he wants you to. ‘
a dark laugh rumbled from deep within, and cole tapped at the knife yet again to elicit another pain ridden expression from the other before him. the grin that was prominent on freckled features looked rather grim, laden with malicious intent. ‘ big talk from the bad demon that has been stuck down here for, what, days? how y’ holding up, big guy?‘ cole felt as though he deemed unrecognizable, honed in on the glory days from when he would trap and play with croats for fun. back when his morals bended for his own free will to do what he damn well pleased. down there? dean lived through the new leader. ‘ we’re just gettin’ started. ‘
all main subsisted in time. it came and it left, but the most important thing was loyalty. ky may have been stuck down here, but he wasn’t broken — not when he knew that this was all temporary. more to the point, he knew that eventually, he would be free, and then that was win the real fun would start.
not that it mattered much at the moment ; another hiss escaped his lips as his eyes turned dark yellow. while cole was indeed getting on his nerves, there was nothing he could honestly do at the moment, and he doubted that he could ( at least anytime soon ). ‘ i do have a name you know. ’ his words came out through the pain, but still, some sense of sarcasm did leak through, ‘ you can use it next time instead of this… shit!! ’
‘see, if i just let you go now, how would that make me look as a leader, hmm? it’s just bad judgement, y’know? so, i think i’m just gonna keep you like this for a little while longer. ‘ the darkness that devoured cole’s soul was prominent on his sharp tongue, the unwaverness of his words, and the determination that ate the bed of his oculars. dean winchester was gone – and any time cole saw the faces of a demon, a croat – he was reminded. following his words, cole tapped at the salt coated knife that he slammed into the demon’s thigh hours earlier. @hellfirebound / sc
keeping him like this wouldn’t serve anything, but he wasn’t about to attempt to bring up that little fact again. all he had to do was bide his time, wait for an opening, and then take it. the pain he could with-stand, but at the same time, even ky’lar had his own limits. the same limits that he had pushed through in the past, but that was before the entire world turned to shit. ‘ you… ’ a low groan escaped his lips due to the pain, ‘ can’t keep me here forever. ‘ it was a false statement, but hopefully . . . it would suffice for the moment, ‘ — an’ trust me. you’ll wish you never knew i existed by the time i’m through with you. ’
it was too early in the session for jax to believe that the demon would pipe up anything about their own boss. their own god. jax knew this like the back of his hand, but he felt as if he was being a good man – earning some humanity points back – by using breaks to pop the question. tell me where he is. ready to drop the dice on luci? give me locations.
and yet, at the answer, a muscle in jax’s jaw clenched and he exhaled a rather annoyed sigh through his nose. his knuckles didn’t ache yet, thanks to the tolerance build up from past experiences with demons. ‘alright. ‘ standing up straight, the ex army man curled his fingers to his palms and threw it against the demon’s jawline.
if he had been in a better mood, there was a high chance that ky’lar would have gave the other some more insightful information. maybe some false locations if he actually did feel the need to, but all the same, ky’lar didn’t want to give the man the benefit of the doubt.
at the impact of the other’s fist towards his jaw, the demon let out a low growl. it hurt, yes, but not as bad as what he had personally been through before. spiting some blood out of his mouth, ky’s head tilted towards the other for a few moments, ‘ is that all ya got? i didn’t feel a thing.’
she had to know. there were many days that ky had dreamed that this would happen. that they could fully be together, but reality was different. reality stated that it wouldn’t happen. all he could hope for was keeping her safe and that meant keeping his distance.
even as her lips stayed pressed firmly against his own , he knew there was a choice that had to be made, and it was one he dreaded. it couldn’t amount to anything between them. doing so would put the both of them in danger. yet, there was no harm in letting this play out.
a reason to why his lips stayed near her own. for now, he was going to let himself enjoy this moment, and worry about the rest at a later time. after-all, what she didn’t know couldn’t hurt her.
‘ that’s nice. ‘ camille confessed within a hum, a smile blossoming on her blush lips. there was a certain light within her optics as she peered towards ky’lar. if anyone knew about her harboring a demon within the walls of her apartment, she would be kicked out beyond the walls of eden. ‘ was a big cabin?‘
‘ would you like to see it? ‘ if there was a possible way for her to go there, ky’lar would have taken it. she deserved to see the world and not just the walls of eden. yet, at the same time, he wasn’t going to risk her safety. if other’s found out, they would both be in very real danger. the kind that she wouldn’t be able to get out of with out his direct interference, ‘ i’m sure it’s still there. ’
her gaze cast downward, suddenly unable to meet his gaze. he seemed so human to her, she often forgot. instead her palm enveloped warmth against the other as her touch became her source to lock her eyes onto. ‘ when you wanted the demons to take over, what did you expect you’d find?‘
‘ understanding. ‘ it was more that he wanted to know his place in everything. humanity was a disease in his mind back then. the only thing they were good for was vessels and even then…. he burned through a bunch of them just for kicks on a daily basis, ‘ i thought that if i proved myself… i would finally get the respect i wanted. instead, all i got was a world where i couldn’t have fun anymore. ”
‘ if you could anywhere but here, where would you go? i’d love t’ see if the eiffel tower is still standing. ‘ camille sat close to the hearth of her fireplace, shadows contouring her soft features as a hint of a smile tugged on her features. ‘ it’d probably peaceful without anyone there. ‘@hellfirebound / sc
he hadn’t thought about where he would go from here. it wasn’t on his to do this ; leaving would be difficult. the demon had done and gotten himself attached. it was a weakness, one that would eventually come to destroy him, and he knew it, ‘ back home. ‘ he took in a breath before letting it out slowly, ‘ it’s an old cabin i had in the mountains of nevada. ’
“I wish I could say that everything could go back to how it was before. I…. I wanted this. I wanted Demon’s – at one point – to finally have dominion over earth, but not like this.” He took in a deep breath before letting it out slowly, “Back then, I wanted nothing better to see humanity burn, and I was willing to do whatever was needed. Whatever the cost…. I paid it tenfold for this to pass. ”
camille ran a hand through her already tousled locks as she tried to find solace in his words. he would be gone – she wouldn’t have to watch her words. tiptoe around him. and yet, she was already mourning his absence. she couldn’t return his gaze, too afraid that her body would betray her and act on it’s own accord.
her pearly rows of teeth kneaded her blush colored lips together, tears swelling on her lower lash line. dammit. ‘ don’t go. ‘ the words spilled from her lips in a soft shudder, and immediately her mouth clamped shut by her fingertips as if she stepped out of line. @hellfirebound / c.
he was a demon; she had known that for quite a while and yet she still wanted him around. it wouldn’t last, the moment anyone else could have found out, he would be sent away one way or another, and ky’lar had been around for far too long.
an attachment had formed; one that he thought was lost during the first days of the virus, but all the same, it was there, and it wasn’t going away anytime soon,
❛ give me a reason to stay. ❜ his words came out far quickly than intended and yet he meant it. he needed a reason to not leave.
