They were outnumbered. That much was a given. If it was up to him, her voice would have been silenced, and the obvious wouldn’t have been stated. It was quite clear he knew the odds were against him, but as per-usual, he decided ultimately ignore it.
“Are we?” He asked, sarcasm practically dripping from his lips. “Not for long.” His eyes narrowed. “I can handle this myself.”
“WHO IS TO SAY THE MOMENT I DO, you don’t turn around and muck things up for the rest of us? further more, what makes you think i actually have what you need, hm?” eyes are hard, glaring at ky. arms cross over his chest. ross isn’t going to give up without a fight. verbal or physical. hopefully it’s just verbal. much simpler that way.
THERE WAS A GOOD CHANCE this was all for nothing; that Ross would not have the answers he wanted. It was a possibility, but one he wasn’t too keen on exploring. All he had to do was put the pressure on properly and everything would come crashing down. All he had to dow as play his part. “You give me what i DESIRE and you’ll live another day. If you don’t…. you’ll SUFFER worse than anyone has never known. That is unmistakeable.”
“I fail to see why I should be impressed,” he said bluntly as he leaned back in the chair. “More importantly… I don’t think you know a thing about me.” Then again, Ky had been wrong before… like he thought he was this time around, but hoped deep down he wasn’t. “If you did… you’d be running.”
His eyes briefly wandered over Ky’lar’s quite attractive body, “I guess so..”
Ky’s arms folded across his chest as he smirked. “The only one who’ll possibly get in trouble for this is me. Not you. I can assure you of that.” A lie, but one he was content to believe as truth at least.
Norrin did not believe Ky’lar for a second, “Someone will most definitely find out.”
“No, they won’t, and so what? I can handle it.”
Norrin pushes Ky’s hands away, “Don’t!”
“Or?” he asked, a few moments after his hand was pushed away. “No one will find out. I swear it.”
❛ wait, stop. ❜ a hand is pushed up in front of her, like a stop sign. for a moment she stays silent, her mind unable to comprehend the things she’s seen.
❛ explain, please. ❜ one more strange situation and her brain will catch on fire.
explanations were always wanted, but rarely were they needed. sometimes, their very presence hindered the reality of things. never the less, he opted for something far more easier than simple explanations. he opted for a true answer. ❛ i’m not from around here, ❜ he said bluntly. ❛ happy? ❜
C U R I O U S about the creature, Proxima finds herself staring. Not long enough to make anyone uncomfortable (though when has she ever been concerned with that?), but enough to be noticed, perhaps.
“ Why have you come? ” She asks after a moment. “ What business do you have with the Titan? ”
THAT WAS THE QUESTION wasn’t it? Why he was here INSTEAD of relaxing on some frozen wasteland where he’d get some semblance peace. Truth be told, he’d rather be ANYWHERE, but here… then again? He didn’t HAVE that luxury. Not today at least.
The stare, for what it was, went almost unnoticed or maybe he just didn’t care. It wouldn’t have been the first time ANYONE did so and most certainly wouldn’t be the last. A reason to why he knew it was in his best interests to not mention it.
“Does it matter?” The question was asked with FAR more DISTASTE than intended for the moment. “I’m here due to the fact it was REQUESTED,” he said, voice raising just a bit more than intended.
