Ruin

Did he have NO sympathy? She could’ve been TAKEN because of HIM – and he wasn’t so much as implying he’d do anything to help and turned it around on HER

FUCK. YOU.”

Natalia didn’t think TWICE about that threat, all too familiar that he DID have the capability of making her life a literal LIVING HELL

“I said GET OUT. Don’t try and FUCK your way out of this.”

sympathy would have meant he admitted he cared. he wasn’t about to due that as he didn’t. not truly – maybe he did in his own way, but not to normal standards.

“yeah, i know – anything else?” he asked, hands slipping into the pockets of his pants. “’cause, i’m sure you could name off quite a few more things to call me by the time i get to the door.” it wasn’t the first time nor the last time he’d be thrown out of a house, but at least he was being civil about it. well, more or less.

“an’ don’t worry, i won’t fuck my way out of this – you’re not worth it.”

“no it is you who is the unfortunate one being a part of such a wretched family. I pity you for being born.”

“well, try as we might? can’t really chose our families.” a pause. “nor who we end up with. i just thought you’d be used to it. my mistake.”

selfexiling:

his refusal in the apple slice resulted in her biting into the fruit while standing upright, towering over him with a raised brow. he didn’t want the energy and he wasn’t fighting her on being restrained. any other would have graciously taken what she offered or even begged for release. instead he’s annoyingly calm, asking her about his future opponent.

❝ well, the strongest champion goes by Hulk. he’s a rather angry green machine. but you’ll start off with easier champions to fight off and earn your way to Hulk’s rank. NO ONE ever survives a round with Hulk. I hear today you’ll be starting off against DOUG. ❞

his passive behavior has her believing he won’t fight. so she comes around behind him, reaching for her dagger strapped to her thigh —– he’s cut free a moment later. ❝ enjoy this bit of freedom while it lasts. ❞

calm was easy enough to maintain with practice. ky’s anger for the entire situation as vast – more so when he knew that talking or even bribing his way out of it wasn’t going to happen. so, he turned that anger – that perpetual rage – into something more tempered. a false sense of calmness that was in-turn amusement. that way, ky attempt to keep things somewhat decent, and he could more than likely prevent them from getting any worse.

❝ DOUG? ❞ he asked, almost rolling his eyes, but resisting the action – if only for a moment or two. it was then he was freed from his bindings; a quick movement. she’d done this before or maybe that was just ky’s assumption of the situation.

no matter, once he was free, he moved to crack his knuckles, and wrists. ❝ sounds easy. ❞ then again, he doubted he’d be allowed to fight to the best of his abilities here.  the hulk, just from what he knew… wasn’t someone anyone wanted to fight.

then again, ky had faced off against creatures as tall as the highest buildings on earth before and while he knew his triumph was luck? he still knew that he could put up a decent fight – maybe even better than most, but he’d have to play it smart. ❝ — how tall is he? ❞ he meant dug, but his  mind was more focused on how he’d be able to pull off fighting the hulk. that was… if he even got that far.

❝ an’  ❞ he said, not even bothering to try to force the accent he’d picked up over the years down. ❝ are there any rules? ❞

I CAN’T judge. ” It comes quietly, soft as if it was meant to be reassuring, but there was regret lined just beneath the surface.
“ It’s always easier to move on when you don’t have anyone or anything to look back to. ” Donna sighs then, forlorn, “ It’s a lonely way to live, though. ” Not that she’s ever really alone.

She looks up at his face finally, her gaze studious, seeking satisfaction for curiosity, but everything about him doesn’t seem to feel right. A bad feeling in the gut that she can’t place, but she tries to not let it show.

“ —- But you don’t seem to be the type to be bothered too greatly by loneliness.

“After a while… you get used to it.” A truth if he’d ever said one in his life. He once had ran, but after a while, he had ( in his own way ) boxed himself into a small room, and while it had two specific exits… he chose the one that was easier. Not just for him, but everyone else, and it seemed that the more time that past… the less he managed to feel attached to anything.

Not that it mattered much now. Due to the fact the best ( or possibly worst ) thing Ky could possibly do was distance himself from everyone. That way, he wouldn’t have to worry about ‘unexpected’ visitors – mainly his family – ruining his plans or even disturbing whoever he just happened to be with or even near. “

When you have… family like mine? It’s easier to keep your schedule clear.” He gave a shrug “More or less.”
