Upon hearing the silence of the harbour being broken by a familiar voice, the called-for blond pulls himself onto his feet, rising faster than if he had been summoned by a stranger. He unfortunately knew well who it was that shouted a threat at his seafaring abode– and it was because of knowing that he wastes no time in stepping out onto the boat’s deck.

Leaning a hand on the frame of the entrance door’s hatch, Thor was forced to squint in the glare of the sun in order to see Ky standing further along the boardwalk. This hadn’t been the first time that he was paid a visit by Blackheart’s son, though in light of his threat to sink his new home, he wondered what he had done to earn Ky’lar’s anger this time.

“I am here. What do you want from me now, boy?”

“You’re going to help me.” He could have just talked – could have just done many things, but Ky wasn’t going to show his entire hand. Not to himself, not to Thor, and most certainly not to anyone. No, he was going to issue his demands, and then sort everything out later.

The last thing he needed right now was being dragged back – kicking and screaming mind you – home. A reason to why he was taking a very large risk into coming here – a threat to maybe get things started, but one that he’d go through with… if things didn’t go his way. “Or,” he said, sucking in a deep breath as he took a step forward, “This place will be underwater in no time.”

Rides past slowly on his bike, flicking him with his hand turned into ghost rider’s. He’s making complete eye contact too.

this was the last thing he needed today. all he was doing ( in his mind ) was keeping to himself, minding his own business, and of course, staying out of trouble. of course, he was now – not about ten minutes ago, but that was quite honestly besides the point? so what if he ended up hanging out in a bar and ended up slaughtering it – he was doing good, wasn’t he? he thought as much.
“oh, fuck,” he said sending a glare in the riders direction as he was flicked. this wasn’t good – not at all.

Such nerve was reprehensible– worth a thunderous response had he been in the mood to summon forth a storm. Unluckily for Ky’lar, Thor wasn’t going to allow such petty talk cause his hands to take action, not like before. Time had passed and in its elapse came the weathering effects of change. It shaped each of them into something different, unrecognisable from before. And while the blond could acknowledge this, it appeared as though the demon was reluctant to accept it.
So he would simply have to demonstrate that all was not like it had been in the recent past

“Nay, I do not have to accept what is clearly untrue. Your words, like always, are rife with falsehoods. Though I do find myself…impressed by your stubbornness. It is seldom that I am pursued by one who means to best me at every opportunity to do so.”

“You’re a worth-while opponent.” Through all the lies he’d told over the years – that was the most truthful admission. Or, at least, as truthful as he could possibly get. Ky’lar thrived off their fights and the destruction that usually followed suit. When Thor was unworthy, it made things so much easier to get him riled up. So much more… amusing to see someone who was once a God like the state they were in.

Now, things were somewhat back to a new state of normal – something that the Son of Blackheart despised with every fiber of his being. He wanted a challenge – one that he couldn’t get elsewhere. Well, he could, but heading back home wasn’t something he wanted to do – not now and not ever. Not if he had a chance to do so. “One, not found very often on this side of things.”

[ SMS→ STRANGE ]: People are.

[ SMS→ STRANGE ]: Unbelievable

He thought he’d conveyed his point clearly, but it didn’t appear to be enough. If words weren’t going to make his stance clear then he would embrace the next best option; by bravely turning his back on Ky, knowing that he was leaving himself wide open to attack but banking on the notion that the demon would know better than to act without clear thought, first. He struck Thor as impulsive, yes, but he also believed him to be the type that chose his battles carefully; a skill still in need of some refinement.

“Your chances of claiming victory this day did not factor into my decision making. I made a choice and wish to stand by it. So once more I say again; I will not fight you, Ky’lar. Not now or at any other time succeeding this moment. You must accept this knowledge and learn to move on.”

knowing and accepting the truth or, rather, knowledge, ultimately ended up being two different things.  ky knew better than to out-right attack thor, but only due to the fact he had some respect for the god. it wasn’t much, but he trusted him – even he’d never truly admit it. “why?” a simple, but loaded question in all reality. ky might have been many things, but he still was young, and at times curious.

maybe, if he paid any attention to his training… he would have known the answer to that. maybe he wouldn’t have even brought the subject up, but there he was… still itching for a fight – even if he knew he wouldn’t get one from thor. “– why not?” he asked again, but this time he wanted a bit more into the reasoning – even if he wouldn’t get an answer… he’d get his fight. one way or another. it didn’t matter who it was.

ky’s lapse in his usual morality was a change of pace, but he wasn’t going to repeat himself. instead, he crossed his arms over his chest with a grunt as he shifted his gaze towards bobby. “that this won’t last an’ this is the last ‘good’ thing you’ll see from me.” a pause. “for a while at least.”

the clock was always ticking down to when he’d get in trouble again. sometimes, he could stay out of it for weeks, but rarely it was that long. a reason to why he was digging into information again – anything about his past. so, a simple job like breaking into a very specific safe-deposit box wasn’t exactly a big deal in his mind.

all he had to do was stay until after the place closed, find the specific area, and then retrieve what was rightfully his. it sounded simple – or rather, it did sound simple hours ago, but now he’d been caught, and while he wasn’t in the mood to fight… that didn’t mean he wouldn’t. not when everything was so close to being in his grasp. truth be told… he could taste it, but then again… he’d had the same feeling before and been vasty disappointed.

“to be quite fair,” he said bluntly, hand sliding into the back pockets of his jeans, “I didn’t think you’d show up this quickly – in the area?”

usually, if ky wanted to be watched, he would have gone back home – maybe an illegal fighting bar or three if he wanted some quick cash. though, he doubted that anyone would truly take interest in him. not really at least – titles and allegiances got boring after a while. not to mention whatever risks came with them. “— only when i’m bored,” he said, trying to not seem too rude for the moment. “ among other things. ”
