“I-I wasn’t trying to cause any trouble, okay ?”  Warren’s not usually one to stutter, but their mind’s working too fast and explanations are cluttering up their tongue. They don’t know all the details of the other experiments here, but they know enough. Enough to know this can go very badly if they don’t watch themselves.  ( Should’ve kept them off the network if they’re didn’t want Warren poking around. )  “I-I’m with one of the scientists that’s visiting. August. I’m an experiment too.”

image

“no one ever tries to cause trouble, but it happens anyways,” he snapped back, not even bothering to care about his words. no, he may have been a mistake, but he sure as well was above the rest of the slime – including the one before him. maybe it was his ego talking, but quite honestly at the moment ky didn’t care. not truly. “an’ i’m not an experiment – i’m nothing at all.”

americansoldier:

“it’s not that you’re wrong, exactly, you’re just extremely not right.”

@hellfirebound // liked for a sentence starter

“better question; does it truly matter? if i’m right… i’m right.” his arms folded over his chest. “end of story.”

“ i never respect my elders, ”   she is quick to point out, knowing that most of her elders tortured her or forced her onto stupid missions that worked for the bad guys. elders were overrated.   “ i’m going home. obviously. ”   jessica takes another step towards him in order to show that she was not afraid. that, in fact, he needed to be afraid of her.   “ so, you should get out of my way.

“you’ll have to eventually.” that was just how the real-world worked. he could have gone on about it, but instead, he gave a shrug in return. no, he wasn’t going to do anything stupid – well, more so than usually. “see, i could get out of your way or… we could talk.” he took a step closer in return – his own way of raising the stakes – “i believe… the move is,” a pause, “how do they say it these days? oh, right – yours.”

sifshieldmaiden:

“I get told a lot of things, but I tend to tune things like that out.” The same as being told she was annoying. She’d stopped caring long ago how others viewed her, what they thought of her. What did that matter? Sif had realized that other people’s opinions of her had very little to do with her and a lot more to do with them

“You’re avoiding the question.”

image

“— am i now?” it wouldn’t have been the first time he avoided questions being posed to him. nor would it truly be the last. avoidance wasn’t exactly an admission or confirmation of what he’d done. instead, it was simply a way to not directly answer. so, in his mind? it was the perfect way to answer something he didn’t exactly want to.

“if i decide to… let’s say, go on a rampage to wipe out a handful of people? well, i do believe that’s on me. not you, isn’t it?”

strangcrdanger // dr. ruins my fun.

Jaw tenses as testament to his growing vexation, while his attention is focused warily on the artifact facing peril. Oh how his fingers itch to start conjuring up a gateway so that he might deposit the annoyance anywhere that isn’t near him. Asshole. Drop it, and your destination will depend on just how IMAGINATIVE I feel. A volcano? The sun? I might even book you a reservation in ANOTHER DIMENSION ENTIRELY seeing as your so keen to make the trip.

image

“to be quite fair? i ENJOY the cold far more than anything else.” still, he wasn’t going to RISK being sent into a volcano or anywhere else- MAYBE another time, but for no? NOT A CHANCE. a reason to why he moved to place it on the table with a roll of his eyes. “ ‘sides, i’m NOT ready to book a one way trip to another REALITY – i have enough PROBLEMS in this one, s t r a n g e.”

strangcrdanger:

If you don’t stop touching the mystical artifacts I will strand you on EVEREST. Gaze is piercing, sharp, alight with the challenge to push him on the matter and see if he’s joking ( the sling-ring already adorned upon scarred fingers might heavily suggest that he is NOT.

image

and in RETURN, ky moved to pick up one of the artifacts, and he acted like he would DROP it. why? mainly just to push the BOUNDARIES of how far he could possibly go in the situation.  “what would you do if i… DROPPED one of these things? i hear EVEREST is quite nice this time of year.”

“I dunno, call it – – ‘field research’ if you want. The folks I should be able to turn to keep tryin’ to kill me, so I guess I’ve got to find answers on my own.” He admitted with an idle shrug of his shoulders. “Either that, or just wing it, ‘n’ that doesn’t usually go too well – – for anyone.”

“everyone will try to kill you in time.” that was just simple facts. “you either face them or… you don’t. either way? you learn you’re dangerous – if not to yourself, to others, and that makes you truly a problem. one that either needs to be fixed or eliminated – i’ve been through it before.”

“whatever   killed   everyone   really   didn’t   care   who   was   left”   shakes   her   head   /   pushes   choppily   cut   hair   out   of   her   face.   words   are   bitter   but   she   thinks   that   might   be   ALL   she   can   feel   these   days     more   bitter   &   angry   for   every    person   she   meets   “left   all   the   assholes   behind.”   / s.c, @hellfirebound

“ well, i’m not that bad, but if it makes you feel better? ” a slight chuckle escaped his lips. “i’m not even human.” well, not entirely, but that was besides the point. “nor do i think it matters; they are gone and you simply have to deal with it.” one way or three others.

personatvs:

there was a list in his head that repeated itself over and over again. the second he broke away — FLEEING from the likes of HYDRA and everything else that he’d done in their name he’d longed to know who he was supposed to be, and also ( but this was a slightly more dangerous path to go down ) why.

one of the names on the list that remained ingrained in the back of his head was one he wouldn’t have otherwise recognized, some were sensical, doctor stephen strange, tony stark, carol danvers, all of those as threats to HYDRA and their incredibly detrimental desires, this was a man he wasn’t sure of. though, it was painful to think that he needed to seek out the reasoning for hydra’s menacing decisions, no. in fact it was only adding more insult to INJURY.

still —- he tracked him nonetheless. it wasn’t that hard to do, a trail of bodies left in his wake and done so in a means that made him easy to track by one with a mind that worked…. fairly similar, but far more indulging in subtlety. the path led him to a questionable motel, the kind he’d passed by on several occasions whether it be to stage the deaths of those on HYDRA’s hit list, or something else, but still, he recognized the type well and it was from the shadows that he sat in wait, rifle pointed and prepared.

❛   —– your name came up on a list, and i want to know WHY.❜

image

the why was complicated; not even he could properly say it. he used cash, made sure not to leave a trail, and yet he still was found. still was…known. maybe he should have tried harder to hide from whoever could possibly be after him.

resorting to violent measures wasn’t what he wanted, but they would suffice. one way to get to the bottom of things was to ensure a stances was made. it may not have been the best of idea’s, but quite honestly? he was getting past the point of caring about his actions – at least in this instance.

❛ what list? ❜ he didn’t even attempt to answer the question. instead, he shifted to asking a question; not a violent reaction, but in his own way, it was. a denial of what the other wanted – a clear answer – could sometimes be determined as violence in his experience.
