If quizzed on why he acted in Ky’s best interests, silence would serve as his answer. It was in his nature to protect those who couldn’t defend themselves– and the half-demon did not so much as fall within a few hundred yards of being classed as such a person. It was within his remit to let the male solve this matter by himself, deal with the consequences of taking a life and remove the evidence in all of its unabridged, gory detail. What he did could be seen as rapidly expediting this process, leaving valuable lessons go unlearned.

But where practical experience was lost, a verbal drumming is the prize that assails the man instead. “See that you don’t, son of Blackheart.” Thor’s words, though infused with the worldly patience of someone well adjusted to that reckless infirmity that all inferior beings not of divine spring were susceptible to, bore a jaded score; these moments were increasing in frequency. And each and every time, his tolerance towards Ky’s uncontrollable instincts wore increasingly thin.

“I know that you are capable of handling your own messes, but I insist you hunt prey other than your own kind, should terrible needs grow beyond your control to suppress.” It wouldn’t attract any fans, but Thor could send Ky to other worlds for which his blood-lusting appetites would be better suited. “You need only to ask for my help and I will see to it that trouble like this can be avoided in its entirety.”

“i don’t consider humans my kind.” he wouldn’t even consider his own family his kind. not on most days at least. true, ky may have been part human, but he always leaned towards his much more darker, and violent tendencies.

sometimes he could control himself. though, usually he couldn’t – when that happened the bodies started dropping. especially if that itch under his skin got to the point where he couldn’t ignore it.

still, he had a choice to stop himself; to simply say no to the urges. the only problem was giving in was easier – far easier than simply stopping himself. a reason to why he usually had blood on his hands. especially these days.

“besides, i doubt someone like yourself would help me.” maybe not exactly the truth, but even ky knew not to doubt thor – not entirely at least. “nor will i ask for it.” as much as he may have needed it… ky wouldn’t lower himself into asking a god for help. especially one like thor.

“Great—”

Stephen felt his fists tighten as the man walked into the sanctum.  Taking a few steps forward, he crossed his arms over his chest, eyes connecting with Ky’lar.

“I don’t assume this is a social call, so spit it out— what do you want?”

“oh, if it was simply a social call… i’d have brought drinks.”

a lie, he would have done something much worse. maybe even tried to burn the place down just for kicks. however, this wasn’t the time for simple games – he could do that enough with out even trying.

“let’s just say i’m here on business.” a pause. “the kind that involves…the murder of a class two demon.”

Logan hadn’t seen a demon since he had returned from hell, and there he learned all how they worked, he’d even killed a bunch while making his escape so if this situation would turn into a fight he would be ready and more than prepared to settle it with his claws. Whatever this guy said, he was doubting it, he didn’t trust their kind. Wolverine would have to tread carefully and be alert just in case he tried to make a fast move.

[{⊗}] – “Well yer gonna get one if I don’t like yer business here.

[{⊗}] – “Ya don’t like it there huh? Way I see it, your kind hates humans. So why the hell should I think ya like it here?”

What he said just didn’t seem right, if demons hatd humankind then why would a demon take a liking to humanity? It just didn’t make sense to him.

image

“no one likes it there.”
a lie, there was once a time ky could have said he did enjoy it there. a nice vacation away from humanity, but he knew better now. being stuck there wasn’t pleasant – didn’t matter who his family was. though, at least he was able to move freely between the realms ( well mostly ), but even that came with a price. one that he’d have to pay eventually… especially if one of his family members found out he’d left.

“either way? i’m not like the rest of my kind.” though that was putting it lightly. “they may hate humanity, but i don’t.” a lie, he actually did hate them – all of them, but this place was far better than back there. anywhere else was actually. “not when it’s due to them i’m here.”

“What’s happening!?”

Send ‘I don’t feel so good’ for my muse’s reaction to yours suddenly fading away in front of them. Send ‘What’s happening?!’ For the reverse.

this wasn’t good; his entire body felt like shit and he could feel something going on. though, as for what? he didn’t even know, but the truth of the matter was he didn’t care at first. though, as the pain intensified he knew this wasn’t just something he could pass off as a simple bit of his powers.

no, this was something else. he already could feel it as he gripped his head tightly; his true form just hiding beneath the skin as his eyes turned bright red. usually, this only happened when he changed forms, but the problem was this was something else, and it started to show as he started to fade.

the only thing he had left to do was say a few last words – before he ceased to exist. “fix thi-” and he turned to ash.

In their perpetuating game of seesaw each participant had tasted the blend of power brewed by the opposing side. Just as Ky had sampled a mockery of godhood obtainable through Mjolnir’s enchantments, the Odinson conspired with dark forces to recover his lost worth. Now that his stolen hammer was within reach, the next step he had to take gained clarity in his mind. Ky had to perish, a life sacrificed to the altar of his power. A life the Odinson was willing to claim, if to regain what had been lost.

Rebuffed, the blond absorbs the blow whilst being pushed back, hands and feet jointly plunging into the earth in a bid to decelerate. Jaws prying open to give another roar, the madness afflicted thunderer scrambles to reengage whilst the unmistakable whistle of urn gains volume before coming into view. Drawn to the waiting hand of its current owner, the blasted mallet whips up furious winds by its appearance, strong enough to haul even the Odinson off his feet, but he remains calm.

And manages to worsen by several dozen degrees when he watches as the mallet sees fit to healing Ky’s wounds, empowering him. “NO!” He yells, the unworthy one decrying the notions of the eternal. He needed to stop Ky’s transformation, prevent it from completing, and so dives headlong towards the man to thwart his plans, no ounce of safety paid to his own safey throughout.

it may have been a short bout of godhood, but it was something he’d always wanted deep down. no, it wasn’t power, but it was worth. to know he actually had value – to himself and others. the hammer just was a way of boosting his own self confidence when he usually faded into the darkness of his mind.
he didn’t need it. nor did he think the hammer wanted to be in his hands. it just simply was. as in whatever the forces were… it deemed that ky was the one who should wield the hammer. to wield the hammer that thor originally had once upon a time.
oh, how far they had fallen, and yet ky didn’t feel anger. he felt pity and could relate to it. the situation thor was in spiraled out of control; to lose one’s worth was to have their life ripped away – especially when it came to the hammer.
and yet…he took it upon himself to grip the hilt of the weapon tightly. even as it healed him, he knew there was no escaping the fact that this would end bloody or worse. ky would have to change into his true form and show just who he really was.
even so, he moved to slam the hammer towards thor’s chest – he might be able to stop the transformation, but ky didn’t need it. in-fact, all ky needed was some distance between them; to call forth the power of the hammer prove just how worthy he was.

// @fryordie xx

was he? ky didn’t know for sure. the facts stood for themselves, thor could have saved trillions of lives. could have actually prevented so much death, but now? all he could say for himself was he didn’t need to be reminded.

maybe that was what ky needed to do; to remind the entire world that he was the cause for all this. that he could have stopped thanos in his tracks and prevented all this death. an easy solution to an impossible task, but one he could actually do… if the opportunity presented itself.

“do you?” a question that had to be asked – even if he wasn’t sure he’d like to hear the other’s response. “there is a line even i’m not willing to cross, thor.” that was putting it lightly. even ky had inched towards that line, but made sure to never cross it. he was better than his father. far better if he was being honest with himself.

“all of these deaths are on you.” not really, even ky knew it may have happened one way or another, but people needed someone to blame, and who better than the god of thunder? especially with their history. not thanos,” he said bluntly, you.”

the answer to that was a resounding fucking no. he’s not a client or friend so whatever he’d done to get shot at, she doesn’t give a shit. yeah and I’m sure you deserved it. more than once she’d been tempted to kick his ass herself that she could certainly understand the motivation to shoot him.

image

“i deserved to rip them to shreds. not be shot at.” of course, the reason he got in this situation was due to ripping someone to shreds. something that ky had to actually work on one of these days. restraint

❝How about, FUCK NO?❞ she mumbled to herself as she looked up from the machine in her hand telling her this was where the energy source was coming from. “I swear to fuck, if there is death in this fucking place, I’m gonna kill Coulson.”

image

making his entrance by simply leaning on a wall wasn’t the best way to entice dramatics, but it would suffice for the time being. besides, it wasn’t like he was expecting anyone to show up, and if they did? well, he was expecting more – not just her.
so, color him amused as he lofts an eyebrow at her words. “there always is death, but it gets boring after a while.” at least in his mind. “round and round people go, but the death? it never stops. especially these days. so, by all means? kill him. i’d love to watch.”

Robbie had been getting better at sensing supernatural beings, but this was something on an entire new level. It had the same energy as that dimension he’d been trapped in for months.

“I’m not going back there,” he said, without even fully turning around to acknowledge the man.

image

no one ever wanted to go back there. not even him – if he had a choice, he wouldn’t, but as per-usual, ky knew that he’d have to return eventually. by his own free will or otherwise… it didn’t matter. not really at least.  “well, welcome to the club,” he said bluntly. “we all go there eventually. it’s just a matter of time.” among other things.
