and i’d  suggest  you do the same,  if you  value  yourself in any  form.
                ——just a friendly warning. ❜

while it was indeed a friendly warning, ky didn’t believe one would be given with-out a real price. warning or no warning, ky figured if they kept their distance maybe they could come to some sort of real agreement. this wasn’t ky’s usual state of affairs; deals he could do. trying to create something that was in equal favor was something challenging. not to mention highly unusual.

❛ careful. ❜ a simple world that also doubled as a statement.  ❛ you have something i need. ❜  or  rather something he wanted ❛ distance may be required, but that doesn’t mean we  can’t come to some sort of arrangement.❜ a pause  ❛ or agreement rather. ❜

“Ah. I may have just the thing for
you.”

He didn’t need to stop and think about what
book he really wanted. Loki was just drawn to it, knowing exactly where it was.
The pages were thick and yellowed with age, but he had the page he wanted in a
few flips. If his new ‘friend’ wanted his victim to be brought down to size,
the spell would help him achieve that literal end. The shrinking spell on its
own was strong enough to be used on a god ( he’d tried ), but when coupled with
an entrapment enchantment that could seal the victim inside a special vessel,
such as a glass globe, it would prove the perfect way of subduing any strong
foe.

Of course, he’d make a few minor adjustments
to ensure that the spell couldn’t be used on him or his family, but other than
that, it was free for his guest to use at will. He wrote down the incantations,
mixing both to form a new spell.

“All you need now is a place to put him or her in. Might I
                suggest something made
of clear glass?”

The request was one that he knew was tricky. Coming here was a risk that he’d pay for eventually, but for now, he’d do what he could. Reducing anyone down to size – even simply power-wise wasn’t going to be easy. It wouldn’t just require perfect spell-work, but also the right time to do so.  Once their defenses were down, Ky could strike, but first he’d need something that could do as he desired.

If there was nothing, he’d have to do this another – far more risky – way, and as such he was willing to listen to whatever was necessary. True, he may not have many years of experience in spell casting, but he knew just enough to get him by or maybe get him killed. He didn’t know which at the moment would happen, but he knew he’d do whatever was needed… even if it  wouldn’t turn out  decently for him in the long run.

“I’m sure someone  will turn up eventually
for them, but only as long as it’s strong glass.
We wouldn’t  want them… breaking out now, would we?”

“COME, NOW WE ARE CIVILIZED  people.  the  both  of  us.”  mar-vell  assumes  anyway.  even  if  he  is  a  kree.  his  business  is  helping  people  and  saving  the  day.  doesn’t  mean  that  sometimes  he’s  an  asshole.  especially  if  an  individual  rubs  him  the  wrong  way.  “instead  of  attempting  to  dismember  me,  why  not  ask  nicely.  i  may  be  more  inclined  to  help  you  out.”

“AND YOU’D DENY MY REQUEST? no thanks.” violence wasn’t always the answer, but it was the solution. talking could get him far, but not far enough. a reason to why he resorted to threats first, action second, and if all else failed? talking would be dead last. “so, let’s get something straight, shall we? among other things,” he said, taking a step back, and a deep breath in, “i want to get back home, but seeing as that isn’t really an option? well, i’ll settle on figuring out what type of situation i’m in – word of warning?  don’t piss off family members.” or in his case, a very powerful demon… who just happened to be his grandfather.

she caught the beer with ease — eyes never leaving him — and opened it as he continued speaking. he wasn’t wrong about privacy, especially in the world they were living in, just about anything could be bought and sold as long as someone was willing to pay the price. she’d paid plenty for her own life, time and time again. but that was a story for another time.    ❛  and your family matters   —  ❜   s he latched onto the comment as it was offered, using it to leverage her own dialogue, but kept her tone light and conversational all the while.      —   are they becoming problematic as of late ?   ❜    one brow climbed higher on her forehead as she took a drink. natasha could understand being on the move, staying under the radar, it was all she’d known for a long time. what she needed to know now was the extent of his situation, and what kind of problems might crop up as a result.

his family was always problematic. hiding from them proved to be impossible. a stark realization that he came to when he attempted to do just that. it lasted for a short while actually, but then everything went down hill. he was found, dragged back home, and while he didn’t truly remember the rest? he doubted it truly mattered. least of all at the current time.

there was a reason he’d been keeping his head down and avoiding his almost usual tendencies. well, avoided was one way of putting it, but not exactly the best. nothing had changed at all. ky just made sure everything he did was under the radar – that way he wouldn’t have to worry about being tracked or little visits like… this.

❛ well, i’m sure someone has a file on me. ❜ if not, he’d want to make sure they made one – if only due to the fact of record keeping and everyone had one didn’t they? he thought as much. maybe he’d actually make a point to steal it as well.  maybe that way he’d see what they said about him. ❛ and my… family members. ❜

there was a shrug. ❛ well, you know how they… can be. ❜ instead of elaborating, ky moved to take a drink of his beer. ❛ — annoying. ❜

He just, plops down in Ky’s lap and snuggles into his chest. How rude.

As much as Ky enjoyed Peter’s company… there was limits to what he could actually take. A reason to why he was hoping for a night alone. The only problem was it didn’t exactly turn out that way.

He glanced down to Peter for a moment. An urge occurred to him to push the other off of him, but at the last minute he hesitated and ended up patting Peter’s head.

Seemed like someone was getting attached.
