“without hesitation.” the words didn’t come out as a slip of the tongue, but rather, it was a very truthful statement. more truthful than he had ever said before if he was being accurate. people were usable for his plans and it was a reason to why he used them as needed. thor being here was just an after-note, but he had said he was sorry. a reason why he had said he was sorry — quite a few times even. “every single time, thor. without hesitation.”
WORTH, what a way of words, leaving the Titan to acknowledge. But to what content of worth was it valued, perhaps that is what mattered. “Was the worth something that was a concern to you. Or to someone else’s?” What importance did it lie under, to who was lying of whats difficult in sacrifice. This was not a time to conduct experiment of mentality of loss. Thanos quieted, staying in silence.
“MYSELF.” he should have thought over his answer; put more thought into forming the right WORDS instead of spiting out the only thing he could say at the moment. was the SACRIFICES he made of value to him specifically? yes. on somedays, he even believed it, but on most he did not. “you can be sure about that.”
Not meaning to cause offence, Thor did not to rush to offer an apology, seeing no point in wasting breath needed to do so. He had infuriated Ky, spurred him to take action, turning into a situation that could not be defused by mere words alone. No, to resolve this matter he’d need to reciprocate the damage he had endured.
Better prepared this time, the thunderer is able to read the infuriated hellspawn’s movements like an open look; rage, that grand motivator, rendering him reckless in his charge. When the attack came Thor motioned to dodge, ducking under it whilst stepping forward, grabbing the outstretched limb as he did so.
With a firm hold obtained, he drags Ky forward in a deliberate effort to make him stumble. Pulled closer, Thor then follows up by lifting up his other arm to try and smash the the point of his elbow into the man’s face, capitalising on the momentum gained from jeopardising his footing.
an apology wasn’t needed. nor was anything else in his mind. no, this was a real fight, and it was one that ky was willing to win. it didn’t matter what he had to do. nor did it matter what he was willing to sacrifice to get it.a reason to why rage was the only motivator he had these days; it burned in him like an every raging fire that could never be extinguished. not until the object of his frustrations were not just long gone, but destroyed as well. sometimes it worked… sometimes it didn’t.
either way, ky stumbled just enough to make him venerable. more importantly, when the point of the elbow smashed into his face, he couldn’t do much more than let out a growl as he attempted to grab ahold of thor’s arm to shove him back. though, most likely it was to no avail.
Deep red eyes narrow at the smaller demon, and insulted hand casts the goblet to the floor at the other’s feet. “As if you know any of what I do! I’m basking in the sins of man that I have created within them. Their greed, their avarice, their lust for wealth and power. It fuels me and makes me all the more powerful. You know this. I thrive and grow stronger from the sins and misdeeds of men, and Las Vegas is the sin city, the den of all misdeeds. The place I feel my power grow to its strongest.”
Taking a hesitant step back as the goblet was thrown at his feet was done out of habit. Fear was also mixed in as well – if only slightly. He should have kept his mouth shut, said his short piece, and left. Then again, the demon always had to open their mouth, and get into trouble. “Oh, I do,” he said, trying to cover his ass as he took another step back ( again out of the same habit of fear ). “I really do.”
Hands clench at his sides as he brings tired eyes towards the male. if anything the soldier wished the other would stop talking. ❝ And how is it that you’ll be seeing me fall ??. ❞ He shouldn’t have asked as it would just keep the conversation going but it was too late now. ❝ Color me curious. ❞
curious or not, ky doubted the other wanted to know the true answer to that, but then again. he couldn’t help, but oblige the other — even if all it would be was miss-direction of a sort – to an extent. ❝ i could think of a few hundred ways, but take away the symbol and your just a man like any other. ❞ among other things, but all ky wanted to do was take down the other a few notches — he could couldn’t care less about the rest. though, if he happened to do more? he did more. simply that.
Such vile loathsome insubordination– If Blackheart could find himself in the grips of a traditional grin, he would be. The towering presence of the Son of Hell rises to his feet, the slight hunch to his simply massive figure not detracting at all from his height. Those beaming red eyes sliding away, to gaze elsewhere, perhaps to the floor outside the room, filled with people selling their life away. “Well you are here bothering me, so truly it must be important– You know I am busy tainting and tempting the souls of men. So, what is it you need, then?” With a faint motion of his wrist, he stirs the contents of his goblet about before indulging in it, gaze shifting back to the demon.
He would hardly call sitting around and tempting souls busy. Not that he would ever voice his true thoughts of the matter to anyone – let alone Blackheart themselves. Still, it didn’t mean that he couldn’t at least ‘poke the bear’ in his own way. “If you’re so busy, why does it look like your doing nothing?” A slight grin spread across his lips as he took a step forward. “Either way? Let’s just say I thought I would drop on by.” More importantly, since he was in the area, it was only proper… or so he thought anyways.
“DOES IT MATTER.” Three little w o r d s are enough to cause his anger toRISE, he repeats them back to this man. The man of metal h a t e s these kind of people with a p a s s i o n. “It always matters.” OF COURSE IT DOES.
HE DOUBTED IT WOULD. the simple fact of making a DIFFERENCE – for good or ill – wasn’t in his PLAYBOOK. no, he stuck to the SIDELINES to watch and sometimes DESTROY when he saw FIT. picking a SIDE and FIGHTING FOR SOMEONE wasn’t needed. nor did he think it ever WOULD be. “ maybe to you, ” he said bluntly, “ but not to me. ” or, rather, not to ANYONE who felt that they didn’t needed to chose an idiotic side. least of all when they would rather FIGHT their own battles with out getting more involved than necessary. “I don’t need a SIDE.”
“I guess we are going to perish then because something tells me my gun isn’t going to do shit against IT.” He really needs to work harder at convincing his father to make him a suit. “I mean, we could always BOTH call our dads to come us.”
“you might, but not me.” stiles was human. ky was not. more to the point, there was doubt that anything would truly happen. then again, on the downside it did… well, he wasn’t going to think about that. not anytime soon at least.
he then scoffed, “sure, call stark. i’m sure he’ll love to hear about how you’re having a little fun with someone like me.” even if nothing happened… he didn’t like being around the very same people that he would one day ultimately have to fight to the death.
He sits upon a throne of bone and ruin, holding in one hand a goblet of viscous red liquid, and legs crossed as he watches the other demon make his presence known. Truly he could not look anymore extra than he did precisely in this moment. “What is it you want? I’m in the middle of something.” No, no he wasn’t, he was just enjoying the peace and quiet of his casino– People giving in to all the misdoings of their greed and avarice just made him feel positively bubbly.
Maybe if Ky’lar waited a while longer, he would have came at a decent time, but as per-usual, he always managed to catch everyone in the middle of something. It didn’t matter of they were busy or otherwise as it was always not the right time or worse… they just didn’t want anyone showing up. Still, it didn’t mean that he couldn’t try; he was here after-all. “Do you expect me to have a full list or are you really that busy?”
The STENCH of the other was filtering into the riders nose and a steady growl filters out of his chest and into the air between them. As much as he wished to TEAR the other apart a steady stream of curiosity was bleeding through his veins as to what he wanted. Head tilting to the side as the other speaks.
Agitation was ripe on the reapers face as he smirks lightly, hands clenching into fists at the demons side as he shrugs his shoulders lightly. ❝ I know ENOUGH. ❞ The comment sharp and to the point. He wasn’t messing around and wanted the other to get to the point already.
❝ and just how SURE are you about that? ❞ he should have held his tongue — maybe even shifted the subject entirely, but all the same, he doubted that it would matter. ❝ i may be many things, but I do believe i could give an OPPORTUNITY of sorts.❞
❝ you see, ❞ he said, slipping his hands into his pockets, ❝ i’m NOT my father. ❞ he mused, ❝ nor do i WISH to be. ❞ though, there were somethings that couldn’t be helped, ❝ but, even so, there are certain aspects that CAN’T be changed. ❞ no matter hard he tried to do so.
❝ more to the point, i’m giving you the chance to ELIMINATE me. ❞ his lips then formed into a thin-line, ❝ i won’t even put up a fight, but… ❞ and there was the catch, ❝ only if my plan to find CONTROL for my abilities fails. ❞ it was a risk, a major risk, but one that he was willing to take. no matter what.
