if this was any other time, ky might have shrugged off the words as a slight jest. after-all, not many liked him, but this time around… he was going to up the stakes so to speak. no, this time, he wasn’t going to simply let thor’s words glance off his shoulders.
god or otherwise… he didn’t care.
thor wasn’t doing what the demon wanted.

“rabid beast?” the term was laughable, but still, ky thought he could do some damage to the god. after-all, give someone enough incentive and they can move mountains.
or even murder a god.

he couldn’t help the scoff that escaped his lips, “really, that’s the best you could come up with?” honestly, ky could have came up with several more, “i thought someone like you could do more than that.” then again, that was just all assumptions on his part.
“now, this rabid beast... is going to do more than just force you to bow.” in-fact, he was going to do much more, “i’ll wipe a city off the map every hour. on the other. for as long as you refuse to do as i ask.”

if it’s something personal then no, not really. she has enough
problems thank you very much. finding out how he’s in another
body isn’t a priority unless she’s getting paid to look into it and
this is way over her head. I can get on board with the drinking
but not murder. I have too many cops on my ass waiting for me
to fuck up as it is.

“i could just… kill the cops waiting for you to mess up.” in truth, he
didn’t mind a little murder. nor, did he think it truly mattered to the
state of things. people died all the time, so what if he murdered a
few? it was simply his nature. well, when he was having his good
days. “or… we could just drink up a thousand dollar tab.” a pause,
“my treat, of course.”

At first glance he had thought the man was a regular mortal, one of billions that called Midgard home. Just another passerby in a town that seemed to harbour so many souls in such a small place. Perhaps with a small helping of luck, the stranger could lend him the assistance he sought, offer direction where he was completely rudderless.
“You there! Might you lend me a moment of your time?” He asks, shooting a hand in the air to offer a friendly wave, his voice loud and unapologetic to those unlucky enough to be within earshot. Thor had yet to learn the little known art of subtly after all, calling attention to himself when such wasn’t necessary; especially with Asgard gone and the Avenger’s roster of enemies growing by the hour.

“It seems I’ve strayed off course by quite some margin. If you could be so kind, please tell me this: where are we exactly?”

if there was anything in the world that managed to ruin one of his ‘good’ days, it would have to be the voice of someone asking for help. no, not just for help, but asking ky’lar himself for help. it wasn’t bad enough that he was told to be ‘stay out of trouble’, but now, he was given the perfect opportunity to cause some.
so, why shouldn’t he do what he wanted? it wasn’t like anyone would find out right away anyways.
either way, it was quite clear by the other’s words — at least in his mind — that the one before him either wasn’t from around here or he had one hell of a hangover. he was going to assume both at the moment and then work his way from there. if anything, it would make for something amusing, and maybe he would get to destroy some lives in the process.

“well, you’re not in kansas anymore.” there was a full out roll of his eyes as he made his way towards the other; his hands sliding into his pockets, “i’d say we’re close to…” he actually had to pull out his phone as he glanced at it for a few moments, “the east coast, as to where? not that interested.” that was what happened when he was trying to teleport somewhere and he didn’t care about the location, but then again, where was the fun in actually knowing where you were? especially when you had no destination in mind. “not really at any-rate.”

she might not been a killer. been a murderer, but he was. several times he had taken lives. several times he had made sure to set examples. several times he just didn’t care. what could he say about them anyways? they were lesser than him. lesser than what he was and who he was. their lives meant nothing to him. why should they? it was funny, she never wanted to be one, and it was amusing. just by what he knew about her already there was something he could take for his own. maybe, just maybe, he could inch his way under her skin, but that would take time. not to mention a facsimile of trust that they shared – be it forced or otherwise. it would work. it had to work. “ not now, but one day…you might be.”

“what is your word then?”

a simple question that ky thought would suffice for the time being. true, he was a little off his game here, but all the same…he thought he would at least ask. maybe then he could get more information and do…something with it. truth be told, he hadn’t really thought that far ahead this time around.

Again, continued from here because @hellfirebound hates me

Colleen didn’t look at him, the bruises still apparent on her throat. She shrugged if he left then at least maybe she’d be safer. But if he left forever…

A sigh escaped her and she shook her head. “It’s just a fact made too apparent for me…I can’t fault you, it’s in your nature. If you can’t overcome it then we really have no business trying to force something.” She tried to sound as passive as possible despite her chest feeling tight and encumbered with emotions that wanted to desperately leave her. “If we can’t even…” Emotion bubbled up and she swallowed them back down quickly. “If my life is in danger because of you then..yeah. You should leave. And never come back.”

if it was up to him, he wouldn’t have to leave, but it was all up to her. he gave her the option for an out. an option for her to forget about him.

he let out a slight chuckle and shook his head as he spoke, “funny.” he said. “i thought it would last longer.” ky thought he was really getting somewhere. thought, that he could actually do some good for once, but he never thought she would take his offer.

more to the point, glanced up to the roof with a deep sigh, “shouldn’t have come here in the first place. too easy to give in, too easy to stop resisting the ongoing war in my mind.” and it was, ky always gave in due to the fact it was easier. he may not have wanted to, but sometimes the pull was just too strong, and he couldn’t fight it.

“at any-rate,” he finally said, looking back at her. “we weren’t forcing anything. i made a decision.” a pause, “one to be better…. much better. just didn’t turn out the way i expected.”

Continued from here for @hellfirebound because they hate me

Colleen had set up an afternoon for them to train. Ky was getting better in his form, not just brute strength which Col was immensely proud of. She swung her arm into the middle of his back and laughed that he hadn’t moved to block her. “Come on, Ky. Aren’t you supposed to be inhumanly fast? My grandmother can move faster than you.” Col, of course, was merely teasing her companion but what was supposed to be playful turned sinister quicker than she could react.

She was on the ground while she struggled to breathe. The inhumanly strong hand was tight around her throat as she grasped at Ky’s arm desperately. “Ky, Ky, I can’t breathe! Ky, you’re cutting off my… circulation.” She rasped, what the hell had gotten into him? He normally shrugged off her jokes. “Ky’lar!” She yelled and Colleen’s legs contorted forward, wrapping themselves around his arm and she and kicked as hard at his jaw. Her body could win her some leverage at this angle and maybe get him to let go of her.

he shouldn’t have let the words get to him. nor should he have gotten this angry. yet, it was a fine point that she was making; he never was fast enough, strong enough, smart enough, or even stable enough to do anything. he simply was. he did what he wanted and finally had started controlling himself.

of course, it all went down hill when his anger got a hold of him. that pure burning rage was something he couldn’t just ignore. it burnt white hot at the base of his mind and it clouded his vision to the point were everything was just one big hot blur.

however, once the blow hit his jaw, it was able to snap him back to reality. well, a version of it at least as let go of her out of instinct. if this was any other time, he would have made a comment about how she was learning, but this wasn’t one of those times.

in-fact, all he could do was shove himself back a several feet as he tried to steady his breathing. this… wasn’t good. this was what he was avoiding. hurting her, but he was so naive to think he could control the overwhelming anger he had at times. “i…” he was at a loss for words as he rubbed at his own neck for a few moments, “i’m…sorry.”

“I know you’ll never love me.”

she was right, he never could truly love her. not when every fiber of his being was at a total war. sometimes, he could win for a while, and be kind. other times… he just gave into the chaos and ripped everyone around him apart.

it didn’t matter who he cared for or even what they meant to him. it was the same story several times over. only this time, he was willing to at least fight for someone…. even if he didn’t think he deserved them.

“do you want me to leave?” he only asked the question as he wasn’t entirely sure if he should just go or not. of course, if he did, ky would make sure she never saw him again. it was better that way anyways… better for everyone and it wouldn’t be the first time it happened. nor the last.

“if you’re this…” he didn’t even know how to get the proper words together. “…i’m sorry. i can’t be… what you want. “ a pause, “just… if it’s what you want… i’ll leave. no questions asked and no coming back.”
