“yeah, well,” he said sucking in a deep breath, and letting it out slowly. “good luck with that- i’m sure you’ll find someone who fits the bill eventually.”
“they say a good attitude is half of the battle.” he had spent most of his time making sure he avoided the winchesters, though his vessel’s name was in the public eye. the kid still had no idea that it had been his best friend that killed his girl anyway, so he truly did not have a target on his back himself. He didn’t doubt that someone would blab so he continued to take precautions anyway. “He certainly has a temper regarding people he cares about. Not nearly as much as his brother from what I’ve heard.”
“i still don’t want to deal with him.” deep down, ky knew that it would happen one day, and that he’d end up facing sam. more importantly, it would be a fight, and one that ky would win. a reason to why he wanted to avoid it. that way… maybe, just maybe, he wouldn’t be forced to kill sam. “it would hurt her and i don’t want to put her through that.”
FAKE SMILE DROPS almost instantly at the threat, and rather than show how intimidated he is ( which is only slightly, if he’s honest ) he gets angry. Yondu doesn’t take kindly to being threatened, whatever the situation, and he’ll be damned if he let anyone get to him. “Sorry, hoss, I ain’t inta’ tha’ kinda’ thing.” A beat. “Business — now tha’s got my attention.”
HE KNEW FULLY WELL that his threat wouldn’t be received well. Luckily for him, this was one of the few times his ASSUMPTIONS were wrong. Ky knew he was walking a fine line with this little RISK of his, but all the same… it was one he was WILLING to ultimately take. “Not many are,” a short pause. “However, if you’re interested, I may have something for you – REAL business.“ Even if he knew it would end up costing him a fortune… or two. “With very limited risk to yourself.”
If he got a weird feeling from the guy before, it was certainly increased now. The use of the word ‘humans’ never tended to bode well in any situation. More often than not, it meant the person he was dealing with wasn’t human. Mentally, he prepared himself; how long would it take to reach a weapon, could he get him away from innocent bystanders?
“Right, yeah. People are pretty self-focused. I pride myself on being different in that sense.”
“They’ll do what they believe to be in their own self interests,” he said, taking a step forward. “They lie, they steal, they drink, and cheat. Then, they go to church on Sunday to repent for their crimes.” Ky left out the part where they did it all the next week, but he didn’t think that was needed. No, not this time around.
“Everyone says they are different, but when push comes to shove? They always fall back on their more destructive or sinful urges – if you believe in that load of shit.”
