He thought he’d conveyed his point clearly, but it didn’t appear to be enough. If words weren’t going to make his stance clear then he would embrace the next best option; by bravely turning his back on Ky, knowing that he was leaving himself wide open to attack but banking on the notion that the demon would know better than to act without clear thought, first. He struck Thor as impulsive, yes, but he also believed him to be the type that chose his battles carefully; a skill still in need of some refinement.
“Your chances of claiming victory this day did not factor into my decision making. I made a choice and wish to stand by it. So once more I say again; I will not fight you, Ky’lar. Not now or at any other time succeeding this moment. You must accept this knowledge and learn to move on.”
knowing and accepting the truth or, rather, knowledge, ultimately ended up being two different things. ky knew better than to out-right attack thor, but only due to the fact he had some respect for the god. it wasn’t much, but he trusted him – even he’d never truly admit it. “why?” a simple, but loaded question in all reality. ky might have been many things, but he still was young, and at times curious.
maybe, if he paid any attention to his training… he would have known the answer to that. maybe he wouldn’t have even brought the subject up, but there he was… still itching for a fight – even if he knew he wouldn’t get one from thor. “– why not?” he asked again, but this time he wanted a bit more into the reasoning – even if he wouldn’t get an answer… he’d get his fight. one way or another. it didn’t matter who it was.
“i’m telling you the best option – an option that can save lives.” it was rare for him to even attempt being decent, but here he was… trying, and ultimately failing to do so. “take it or leave it- i’m done here.”
“for the moment.” his arms crossed over his chest as he took a step forward. “however, it’s doubtful you’ll be able to hold it for long.”
ky’s lapse in his usual morality was a change of pace, but he wasn’t going to repeat himself. instead, he crossed his arms over his chest with a grunt as he shifted his gaze towards bobby. “that this won’t last an’ this is the last ‘good’ thing you’ll see from me.” a pause. “for a while at least.”
“to be quite honest? i really don’t care.” then again, ky rarely cared about anything that didn’t directly concern him these days. “not really at any-rate.”
