❝ I thought it might lift your spirits. ❞

“not much can do that these days,” he said, downing a bottle of whiskey ( his 5th one in the last thirty minutes ). “not even you.” that was what happened when ky got into one of his lower moods – alcohol had the wrong effect on him. when that happened, he had to deal with emotions that were close to a humans. it would get better once he sobered up, but instead, he kept drinking the bottles down as if they were water. “i’ll be fine.”

.       ky’lar’s answer is the one bobby expects, if not the one he HOPES for. he can feel himself bristle a little at the implication that bobby doesn’t know him anymore. just because some time has passed and they’ve HAD to go separate ways. not exactly easy to stay in contact when ky’s in the wind and bobby’s….well, a superhero, basically.

❝ just fyi, i TRIED to keep in touch. you’re the one who couldn’t be found. ❞ yeah there’s a bit of an edge to his tone. they’d been friends once, and maybe there’s still a foundation of that friendship there. they just happen to be on opposite sides. and if bobby’s gotta try to take him down, it’s definitely not personal.

❝ it didn’t have to be this way, ky. you wouldn’t be the first ‘bad guy’ hero. not like the world likes mutants anyways. ❞

❝ humanity hates anything that isn’t exactly clear cut as the rest of them. ❞ not that he could blame them. humans were ultimately simple minded creatures, but they were ( for the most part ) extremely dangerous. they make mutants, demons, and enhanced individuals seem like children. though, most children couldn’t blow up buildings with their mind, or anything like that.

❝ when i left… i did so to keep you and the others safe. ❞ it wasn’t the entire truth, but maybe if he stayed… things would have turned out better. still, ky never did like rules, and it was to that reason he was wanted by half the world by now ( especially with a few of his much larger stunts ). ❝ it was easier that way than having any of my family. who decided to drag me back a month after i left, by the way, show up, and kill everyone in their sights. ❞

narrativecrime:

the alleyway in which he finds himself is dark.      fingers fumble for mobile, digits slick from rain water as he attempts to utilize the flashlight app.      once he’s managed to get everything situated, john brings his phone up, only to step back in    ALARM    at the sudden looming face of a strange individual.      not sherlock.   he thinks to himself, taking a few steps back.      john is certainly getting bad vibes from this guy.      free hand reaches for the gun hidden behind him.    @hellfirebound   /   sc

THIS WAS GOING TO BE A GOOD NIGHT; all he needed was a little violence and he’d be stated until daybreak. stated until the REAL fun began in the morning. of course, it didn’t look like that was going to happen; someone had to RUIN HIS FUN by going into the ally he was currently residing in. a hotel room would have SUFFICED better, but he didn’t want a PAPER trail – nor did he think one was needed in this specific case. “– just what do we have here?”

❛  of course not. ❜ the response is poisonous on his tongue. perhaps he did have everything handled but that didn’t mean it was over, for sure.

❛  yeah but we still have to get out of here in one piece, don’t we?? ❜

❛ . last i checked, getting out of here in one piece was your job – i’ll be fine.  ❜ a lie, even ky could find himself messed up badly, but he wasn’t about to admit that. least of all to barnes.  ❛ really, i will. ❜
