“You’re like a gargoyle up there.”

KNEELING that high above ground had become a new per-usual for the half-demon. His perch was something he was becoming accustomed to. More so than viewing the world either from far below or in an almost freezing apartment.

Still, that didn’t give the reason to why he was up there, but he’d have to explain himself soon enough. If.. he ever got around to it. “And you’re like an ant,” he said, not even bothering to pay real attention to Lucifer. “Shouldn’t you be out doing something… more important than bothering me?”

teddy didn’t know what to think. he didn’t know a lot about the supernatural. it had taken him a long time to figure out what he truly was and how to take what was hopefully the appropriate measures to keep himself hidden from the angels. he could sense that something was off with this man… and truthfully, vague threats were more than enough to get him to back off with his tail in between his legs. “i rather enjoy living… sorry. i should learn to bite my tongue better.”

“i’d rather be ripping you apart, but we can’t always have what we want.” even if he could, ky knew fully well this wasn’t the time nor the place.  violence for the sake of violence was worthless and it moved him one step further into his father’s own shadow. something he was trying to remove himself from. “can we?”

Exactly. Keeping your head down and letting him walk all over you is pretty much what he wants. Don’t give it to him. He needs to go.”

“You can keep your head down and prevent him from walking over you,” he said bluntly. “i want to keep my head and not have a horde of angry demons at my doorstep.”

“Whatever, your loss. More for me.  She shrugged, crossing her arms.  You know, you take things very seriously. Anyone ever tell you that?

“Anyone ever tell you that you should mind your own business?” Granted, he could have been much nicer, but that would have actually required effort. Something that he wasn’t willing to put forth at the moment. “ And so what? It’s not like i’m trying to spark the end days or something like that.”

There’s nothing in Chas’ body language to imply that he’s ready to compromise with whatever it is this guy wants. He stands firm in his spot on the sidewalk, body squared, like he’s ready to fight should he need to.

“It’s a bloody problem now. Y’ gonna tell me why the ‘ell you’ve been followin’ me?”

“Could, but won’t.”

Rather, Ky didn’t believe that it was necessary. Not for the moment, but maybe later on he would reveal his true intentions. For now, this was just a simple talk. A talk, that he hoped would lead him to what he really wanted.

“So, let’s start with introductions, shall we? I’m Ky’lar.”
