the answer to that was a resounding fucking no. he’s not a client or friend so whatever he’d done to get shot at, she doesn’t give a shit. “yeah and I’m sure you deserved it.” more than once she’d been tempted to kick his ass herself that she could certainly understand the motivation to shoot him.
“i deserved to rip them to shreds. not be shot at.” of course, the reason he got in this situation was due to ripping someone to shreds. something that ky had to actually work on one of these days. restraint.
making his entrance by simply leaning on a wall wasn’t the best way to entice dramatics, but it would suffice for the time being. besides, it wasn’t like he was expecting anyone to show up, and if they did? well, he was expecting more – not just her. so, color him amused as he lofts an eyebrow at her words. “there always is death, but it gets boring after a while.” at least in his mind. “round and round people go, but the death? it never stops. especially these days. so, by all means? kill him. i’d love to watch.”
Robbie had been getting better at sensing supernatural beings, but this was something on an entire new level. It had the same energy as that dimension he’d been trapped in for months.
“I’m not going back there,” he said, without even fully turning around to acknowledge the man.
no one ever wanted to go back there. not even him – if he had a choice, he wouldn’t, but as per-usual, ky knew that he’d have to return eventually. by his own free will or otherwise… it didn’t matter. not really at least. “well, welcome to the club,” he said bluntly. “we all go there eventually. it’s just a matter of time.” among other things.

‘ i could, ’ he said bluntly, not even worrying about how his next string of words would be taken. ‘ but i won’t. ’ at least for the time being. ‘ you can me sure of that.’
he’d heard the plea’s before. everyone wanted someone back, but ky wasn’t willing to do so. not right away of course – it was like they didn’t know how to handle the death of a loved one. still, the scale of what had happened with thanos didn’t seem to phase ky due to the fact he didn’t comprehend it ( not now at least ). he knew several had died, but as to the amount? not even he knew.
still, he never could say ‘no’ to someone begging him – not even if he wanted to. part of him thrived off the begging, but another knew it was that slight trace of humanity still left him him. whatever the case, his arms folded over his chest with a slight grin. if rogers wanted bucky back so badly? he would have him, but not with out striking consequences.
“bringing someone back can’t be done with a snap.” it was irony, pure, and simple, but it served a point in his mind. “it will be… dangerous.” though, mainly since ky had nothing to work with, but that never had stoped him before. “among other things – are you willing to bring back one when it could jeopardize others?” it wouldn’t – not entirely, but he wanted to make sure steve was completely committed to the request.
So, there are two main way’s this can go, and while they are both similar – they follow the same general section for Infinity War.
Ky is on ‘loan’ to Thanos thanks to Meph and Thanos working together ( such as Meph being an ‘adviser’ to Thanos via lies linking Meph’s origins to the gauntlet and the infinity stones).
Ky spends most of the events ( until after the snap ) in Meph’s realm watching everything while eating popcorn. More or less under ‘orders’ not to leave. However, shortly after half the universe is destroyed of life he decides to ‘sneak’ out of Meph’s realm to see what happened with his own eyes.
While in non-marvel settings ( spn / dc / whatever you wish / what i default to ) Ky uses vessels and is literarily black smoke when he’s not inside one, but he also has his true form that he can take on ( even while outside of a vessel / body ).
However, in Marvel / 616 settings ( ironically his old main verse ) he does not use them. His body ( that you see him in ) is his own – so is his true form. He may change his appearance at times, but it’s still his own body. up to and including his true form / spiky mini-blackheart version of himself… otherwise known as his true form.
