❛ And who is this guy you work for ?? ❜ Narrowing his eyes, he tries to some buy time. He knows he can’t fight that guy alone, not without making a mess in the city,  so he needs time to think of a way to escape from there, and go meet with his father and the others, who he hopes will be dealing better with that unusual situation.  // IW Starer call !!

❛ i wouldn’t call it working for anyone. ❜  his hands clasped together as he made his way forward.  ❛  think of it more as…being on loan.  ❜  working meant he would get paid for something – the only thing he was getting out of this little agreement was a bit of respect from his family. though, even that could just fade in a day ( or less ) ultimately depending on his actions.  ❛ among other things, ❜ he mused,  ❛ i can be quite agreeable, but my hands are tied in a sense. ❜

“If you’re here to drag me back, then I’ll go down fighting. I’m not going back,” she said through practically clenched teeth.

The last thing Ruby wanted to do was fight anybody. She hated what she was and hated that she had betrayed someone who trusted her more than her own kind. Not all of them were evil…she had lied. A lot. But the truth that held the most accountability was when she could still remember being human

“I’m being sincere. I don’t care who you are. I don’t know what you want, but I’m not involved in anything other than trying to seem normal. The humans are idiots but you learn to admire them after a while.”

“i could drag you back there kicking and screaming,” he said bluntly. “maybe you’d run for a while, but you’d be put back to where you belong.” his tone, for what it was darkened as he took a step forward. “it wouldn’t even be hard either.”

however, just as soon as it darkened, it evened out a bit as his hands clasped together. a grin pulling at his lips. “you should just be glad that’s not what i’m here for.” if he was… he wouldn’t have simply been talking, but that was neither here nor there.

“now, i simply need you to… obtain something for me.” it was more than that; an item that had been in his possession for a while had been… locked away. he couldn’t even get close to it due to the wards that prevented him from getting anywhere close to it, but someone else? well… that was up for debate, but it was still a better plan than trying to destroy the wards on his own.

The very mention of a family member had him pause. Thor couldn’t think of anyone in his family who would align themselves with a demon. His parents wouldn’t be so reckless, and his brother might have considered dabbling with darker magic, but he was confident that Loki wouldn’t betray them like that. He was about to dismiss that claim when he caught Heimdall’s eye, and the slight downwards dip of the head told him that he shouldn’t take the stranger’s words lightly.

“And who would willingly choose your side? You spoke of
bringing harm to my people in search of this relic. Why
should I trust the word of one who brings potential death
                    to my people?”

He might not have seen the point in continuing this conversation, but there was something in the stranger’s words that made him curious. He wanted to know WHO the stranger was referring to. He’d heard of threats coming from within, but the possibility of that threat coming from his family was something he hadn’t expected. Thor might have ignored that bluff if he hadn’t had thought of how Loki tended to align himself with morally grey characters. He hated himself for doubting his brother, but he needed to be sure.

            “you shouldn’t. no one should.”

ky’lar wasn’t going to give into lies. doing so would have lead to more questions and the possibility of landing himself in a cell. he used every single possible resource to get here; to actually step forth on a place that was known as myth. not that it mattered now, this conversation was getting… nowhere in his mind, and it was why he had to up the stakes. at least slightly.

             “trusting me is mistake.”

one that no one would soon forget. a reason to why he was making sure thor knew exactly who he was dealing with. not out of intimidation, but rather out of the safety of others. he may have thought himself above such petty things as morality, but addressing the facts was in everyone’s best interests. including his own.

“however, if given the chance… i can be quite persuasive.”

among other things, but he wasn’t about to say that now. not when he knew there was a very high likely chance that he would be dumped on a random planet. or worse… sent back home. all the same, he knew there was no avoiding it. not now at least.

“i can assure you of that.”

Natasha rolled her eyes and pushed past him, “Why would I be happy to see you, we’ve never even met.” Not that she could remember anyway, perhaps during one of those large battles. “And like I said, I have no interest in your kind of bullshit.” Natasha had a very specific set of skills, she didn’t–or couldn’t–get involved in things those skills didn’t apply to. She might defend the earth from invaders once in a while, but she wasn’t exactly a soldier, and there was nothing her skills as a spy could do to battle the supernatural. “Go call Dr. Strange or something.”

“you see, i could, but i doubt he’d answer.” it was one way of responding to her – not the best, but then again, he doubted it mattered in the slightest. “dr. strange would just shut the door on me, but you? well, i’d take my chances on you over him. ‘sides, i’m just here to talk. nothing more nothing less.” well, maybe a bit more than just talk, but that was besides the point.

To say Thor of the Thunders still lived after all that had occurred was questionable. True, he fit the definition of the term, owned a pulse that signified life, even though that had nearly dwindled to nothing when attempting to forge Asgard’s greatest weapon. But whilst he still persisted, his emotions had failed to complete the journey, destroyed in segments by the litany of tragedies he had faced.

Bored hollow by repeated loses, he is rendered skittish in moments where silence reigned, the world, and much of the universe itself turned quieter by the disintegration of foreseen excess in the mad titan’s eyes. As it happened, Thor could be found on his knees, resplendent in a new attire of chainmail and armour, his billowing pooling around him as the last of a stiff breeze died out.

On the ground beside him lies Stormbreaker, untouched. The axe that had meant to kill Thanos and stop the loss of so much life, a tool that failed in its task simply because he had underestimated the warlord. Why did he had to stop at driving his axe into his chest!

Gripped by memories of his failure, Thor stirs at the sound of Ky’s voice. Both eyes (right-side restored thanks to the donation of a prosthetic given to him by a talking rabbit) try to track his movements but give up early, choosing instead to pick a random spot in the distance to focus on.

“I had wondered when you were going to show up.” For the time being, he was incapable of parting with a joke or a warning, his range set to the one setting until the sun had set on this dreadful day. He sounded deflated, all gusto and vengeful wraith drained away by Thanos’ gloating words. He had a chance to stop him dead and miserably failed.

“That’s a rather mild way of putting it. But don’t stop there. Please do continue to demean me whilst I try to come to grips with the knowledge that I let a madman rid the universe of half of its life.”

“i was stuck in my grandfather’s realm.” a simple response, but it lacked substance. it didn’t provide the why he was there. nor did it seem to be anything other than words.

in ky’s mind, he should have been here; trying to stop thanos, but even he knew what would have happened. ky would have joined him – not even taking a second thought into the situation. no, he would have fought against everyone just in the sake of murder.
there was no changing who he was. that much was clear. a reason to why he was requested – no ordered to stay where it was safe. where he could watch the destruction of trillions as if they were nothing more than dust. maybe it was to teach him a lesson. maybe it was a cruel joke on him to live through it, but all the same… he was still alive.

“otherwise,” he gestured around him. “who know’s where i would have been.” though, it was quite clear that due to ky’s history it would have been up for debate. he thrived off chaos and feasted off other’s suffering ( in someways just like his father ), but even ky had a line he wouldn’t cross… even though he inched closer to it every day.

“maybe here,” he mused, arms folding across his chest. “maybe like the others.” soon after, an eyebrow lifted. “where’s your brother?” a simple question, but one that had to be asked all the same.
ky had been more focused on trying to escape his ‘home’ rather than keep tabs on thor or even his brother. however, he knew of the events that happened to cause this; knew that thanos had rid the universe of a vast  m a j o r i t y   of life with a snap of his fingers and that he could do nothing about it.

maybe at one point he could have; maybe even came in at the last moment to help thor, but he didn’t know. hell, he didn’t even know if thor was still alive, and he doubted that loki was either or… anyone else he may have known. no, it wouldn’t entirely shock him if all the avengers were e x t e r m i n a t e d  either.

“among other things, he might be able to help fix this… or did you leave him on some rock after he possibly tried to kill you again?” he was so glad he didn’t have brothers or sisters. that would have been hell – well, worse than usual at least. “either way,” he continued on. we need to track thanos down and end him.”

every fiber in his body vessel urged him to keep banging on the door.  maybe then he could get his point across better, but the truth was he wasn’t thinking straight. nor did he think that it was needed.
when ky got angry… he lost all control of himself and ultimately turned violent. locking him away was the best answer – even if it was difficult to keep him contained. not to say that ky agreed; maybe one day he would, but for now… all he held was anger for his family.
for how they said they cared, but then did this – they locked him away as if he was to be contained rather than actually spoke with. they wanted him gone and he was just a mistake. the thoughts that were always in his head just got louder and maybe they were all right. maybe he was just a mistake.
still, there was far more than just an anger that that burnt hot; his own rage controlled him in this state and it was why he banged on the door again. he wanted out of such a limited and  c o n f i n e d  space even though it was the best place for him ( especially then ).

‘ it doesn’t concern you where i go. ‘ not that it mattered anyways. he was in a downward spiral and he just was starting to reach bottom. something he hoped he’d never get to, but here he was – scratching and banging against a door like the  c h i l d  he was. ‘ just let me outta  here! ’
