❤ ‘d for a random muse  *drumroll*  VIVIAN ))

“ That’s o-one of the perks of the job. Something t-terrible happens and you don’t have e-enough time to dwell on it… ‘cause y-you’re too busy trying to stop the next terrible thing from h-happening.

“it’s a reason you need to get out of it.” she could get hurt or worse – she could die. either option was something that ky didn’t want to dwell on too much. a reason to why he moved his right hand under her chin for a few moments. “i can help with that, viv. you know i can.”

“Angels serve Heaven because that is our purpose.” It was most likely a wast of an effort to argue semantics with a demon, but Castiel was nothing if not stubborn— nor was he about to let insults stand. “You’ve only proven what I’ve said about you being misguided, but it isn’t my job to save you.”

Frankly, this man was lucky that he hadn’t pulled out his blade and ended this conversation much earlier. He was still tempted to, admittedly, but getting into a fight with some half-demon wasn’t the reason that he came here. Castiel had a mission, and he was going to finish it.

“And yet demons do the same thing that you are accusing humans of: They are flawed, murderous beings that feed off of the misery of others while waiting for their false god to return,” he continued. “God sealed Lucifer away in his cage, where he’ll stay until the end of days.”

“it’s not anyone’s job to save me – not meant to be saved in the first place.” or to be created, born, made – whatever it was called. truth be told, if ky could have found a simple ‘out’ he would have done it long ago, but here he was… having a debate about biblical affairs. oh, how far he had fallen.

“demons, humans, and even your kind are all… scraping around trying to find purpose,” he said bluntly. “i don’t believe in god or lucifer – i don’t even believe there is a heaven. it’s all souls go to one place; all go what you would call hell. simply put? reality is idiotic.”  not that ky could really complain, but he was just putting it out there.

“among other things,” he said bluntly. “if there is a god, lucifer… whatever you call it? they are long gone and don’t care.” at least in his mind.
