“no, go away.” granted, that wasn’t

talking to his GRANDFATHER, but
he wasn’t about to take it back.
“find him yourself.”

“no, go away.” granted, that wasn’t
the way he was SUPPOSED to be
talking to his GRANDFATHER, but
he wasn’t about to take it back.
“find him yourself.”

IT WASN’T A SURPRISE that he was being used.
in-fact, it was downright PREDICTABLE at this point
in time. a reason to why his eyes LOWERED for a few
moments TO PROCESS THIS INFORMATION. he was
being USED, it was USUAL, but it still HURT the part
that was still HUMAN inside of him.
“TYPICAL,” and it was in his mind, “what do you
NEED ME FOR THEN?”

she was right, he never could truly love her. not when every fiber of his being was at a total war. sometimes, he could win for a while, and be kind. other times… he just gave into the chaos and ripped everyone around him apart.
it didn’t matter who he cared for or even what they meant to him. it was the same story several times over. only this time, he was willing to at least fight for someone…. even if he didn’t think he deserved them.
“do you want me to leave?” he only asked the question as he wasn’t entirely sure if he should just go or not. of course, if he did, ky would make sure she never saw him again. it was better that way anyways… better for everyone and it wouldn’t be the first time it happened. nor the last.
“if you’re this…” he didn’t even know how to get the proper words together. “…i’m sorry. i can’t be… what you want. “ a pause, “just… if it’s what you want… i’ll leave. no questions asked and no coming back.”

he should have kept himself under control, but there was always so much rage in him. when he got angry, he got violent, and it was close to impossible for anyone to snap him out of that rage.
this time around, it was triggered simply by a few words said at the wrong time. usually, he could brush things off around her, but that wasn’t this moment in time. no, he let himself fall into the very rage he was trying to control, and he already could feel his fingers closing even further around her neck.
“i fail to see how that’s my problem.” rather, he failed to see why it mattered when he couldn’t even focus on anything real. let alone who he was actually strangling.

“do you ever care about anything?” a simple question, but he still didn’t think it mattered. well, not really at any-rate. “all i need is you to do one little thing. it’s not the end of the world.” well, technically it wasn’t, but it could be in a way. “or anything like that.”

“you shouldn’t do that.” no one should have counted on him for well… anything. it was already known that he didn’t do well around others and quite honestly ky didn’t like helping anyone. not even the people he cared for when the time came for it. “you’ll be disappointed.”

“same difference.” lurking, standing around, watching, or even staring. it was all the same in his mind. all he wanted was a moment of peace…. something that he wasn’t going to get today it seemed, “doesn’t matter how you label it.”

“are you ever not disappointed?” there was no doubt that he shouldn’t have been so blunt, but he was just a second too late on controlling his tongue. it was going to cost him – there was no doubt about that, but he was willing to see her reaction first before… he tried to dig himself out of this specific hole.

having death all tied up like this was amusing, but sadly, it wasn’t enough to have ky help the other. in truth, the demon would have enjoyed death to spend the next few hours where he was, but then again, the aftermath wouldn’t be decent. well, at least to ky’s own personal standards.
“yes,” he mused, “i am.”
there was a reason he hated his own kind; demons always were busy or working on some scheme. not that he could really complain — he had pulled enough of them in his lifetime to know that sometimes failure was the only option. not to mention that interrupting a demon nine out of ten times was dangerous, but that didn’t mean that it would stop ky. in all reality, it just meant that he would have to press forward — just for his own personal amusement.

“right, don’t care.” it was simply the facts — being truthful was always harsher than not, but then again. lying was only useful when the truth wouldn’t get him what he personally wanted.
