Reluctant Obedience || Purity and Ky’lar

@hellfirebound continue from here

Purity had to take a deep breath to keep her anger from controlling her actions. “Ky, no offense, but I’m not a murderer,” she said, not believing her own words. “My abilities certainly don’t help, I’m not the best fighter ever, and…”

She trailed off, not wanting to say she didn’t want to or that she was scared. She feared him more than she feared her morals being broken. She paused, making the decision in her head. Screw morals. She was doing this for survival, not for perfection. She took another deep breath and gathered her courage.

“Fine. I’ll do it. Who do you need me to kill again?” She asked him, forgetting if and who he told her to kill when she had her moral crisis. She waited for reprimand. Knowing him, it was right around the corner.

“everyone can murder.” he said bluntly, not even caring that she had finally had agreed to his request. in truth, there was part of him that didn’t care — he could have honestly done it himself, but then again, ky always enjoyed seeing others do the very same things themselves.

however, it wasn’t just about power, or even control. rather, it was simply about enjoying seeing the one’s that he deemed ‘lesser’ do his own work for him. that way, he wouldn’t even have to lift a finger, and he could watch the inevitable chaos ensue.

“either way, your target, for lack of better words, is someone many won’t miss.” well, some would, but that was besides the point, “you know, i don’t like it when people back out of deals with me, and points have to be made. this one just seemed… to fail to understand all the terms of what he agreed to.”

Oh, I do remember. It’s one of the things you never let me forget. You’re like a moody teenager. If he was going to perfectly honest with himself, there was no guarantee Ky was going to like the actual gift either. It had just been the one Grant had worked much harder to obtain.

When Ky insists it be retrieved for him, Ward simply shrugs his shoulders and goes to the closet to grab out a small, heavily fortified cage, one fit for an exotic and dangerous animal. To Grant the cage looks empty, but he can hear the feisty little growls from the creature inside nonetheless. For all I know…the thing’s a mutt, but he’s supposed to come from a purebred line of these things. Hell hounds, I think you call them. You two can hate everything together and he can maul people for you.

ky was many things — moody teenager ( for the most part ), just seemed to be the most accurate description for the time being. of course, he never would admit that —- even if it was just a step above being called a child,  well, let’s just say, i don’t care what you think of me.rather, he didn’t seem to mind. hating the world around him in general was easy, but specific people? that was a bit harder… especially when he actually enjoyed their company —– even to an extent.

a reason to why when he saw the fortified cage, it caused an eyebrow to lift. in truth, he was expecting ward to throw a bucket of holy water on him or… something like that. then again, anyone getting him a gift ( even a crappy one ) was unexpected. he just was greedy and didn’t show his… excitement or even being impressed well.

it was then ky slowly let a grin spread across his lips; he was amused. though, he wouldn’t exactly state he was impressed. not around ward, not around anyone, but all the same, he was pleased. so, that was a step up from his usual grouchiness of a sort around… well, anyone.

—– i do wonder how you came across one of these things. couldn’t have been easy. as much as ky wanted to say he was pleased, he couldn’t… not yet anyways, but he knew something that would be close… at least in his own way, “either way, we are going to have loads of fun together. the little guy might even chew up someone you know some day, ward.”

Devil-May-Care

Fitz wasn’t sure about this op. He was just an extra pair of boots on the ground more than anything but he had a strange feeling prickling the back of his neck as he moved around the noisy club with a drink in hand. He desperately wanted to down it to ease his nerves but he was pretending to sip it in case anyone was watching him for suspicious behavior.

This wasn’t his natural habitat. Despite the knowledge that this wasn’t real life, just an op, he felt uncomfortable—and worse—vulnerable. He rubbed the back of his neck as he sat down at the bar, turning to the bloke next to him to perhaps start up a conversation and keep from seeming so out of place.

“Does the bartender ever even get down to this end of the bar?” he asked, chuckling. It’d taken him twenty minutes to get the drink he had, not that he really needed another.

“not unless you flash a few hundreds in their face.” well, that was one way of putting it. even though he could already tell it was going to be one of ‘those’ days. everything managed to feel off — even worse normal communication with someone didn’t feel right.

of course, if it was up to him, he would have stayed as far away as possible from everyone. that way, he could relax with out having to deal with other people. the case and point was right near him, “then again,“ he continued on, “ they don’t like me that much.” he could have elaborated more on the subject, even as to the reasons to why, but instead, the man moved to take a sip of his own drink.

“not these days at least.” he mused as he gave the other a short once-over, “so, they might be thinking you’re one of mine, but then again? maybe they don’t like your outfit…. or looks.”

“Cellmate”

of course things just had to go south on what he personally thought would have been an easy ‘victory’ against his father. everything was in place, all he had to do was play his cards right, and he would make the board even against the two of them.

an easy play, one that ky had practiced many times, and even assumed most of the inevitable  outcomes. the only problem was he didn’t expect his father to not just have his main playbook, but also all his backup one’s as well. it was… of the dangers, one of the least likely, but all the same, it happened, and now he had to deal with getting out of here… well, eventually.

for the moment, he had to deal with the one who would usually torment, but that shouldn’t be too hard. just as long as he was able to sow caleb just who was in control ( as always ), “for the record, this was your fault.” he leaned his head back against the wall as he continued to speak, “just don’t think this changes anything, it doesn’t.”

‘ no. this sounds like you losing your bet… and i know you don’t like to lose. so i’m calling bull on this whole offer.’ somehow it intrigued her a tiny bit more than it repulsed her, but she couldn’t see herself agreeing to it either.

‘i don’t lose,’ he said bluntly, ‘my offer, for what it is, will always be there. you may not like it, but then again? i doubted you would ever take it. ‘cause, once you have it with a demon? you never go back. trust me.’

oddyssea:

“Look th’part of what–––a stark and cold business man? Cuz ya don’ need a SUIT t’play that well pal. I’ve heard & seen some of th’shit that happens when yer around an’ I think anyone smart ‘nough t’notice would be runnin’ fer th’hills.”

image

“i don’t see you runnin’ yet.” it was a simple assessment as he moved to straighten his tie, “i do what’s needed, i’m great at sealing deals, and i must look the part. if i wear just jeans… i’m just a guy wearing jeans, but this gives an image.” a pause, “something that people know right away… makes things easier.”

Cellmate (if you want cx)

image

of course, he would end up stuck in a cell ( again ), but at the same time, ky knew he couldn’t just leave via his usual ways this time. if he did that, they would know the truth, and it was why he was attempting ( as best as possible ), to keep things as ‘normal’ as possible.

it was to that every reason, he leaned his head back against a wall; anything to keep him from just busting out of here during the first sign of opportunity. of course, having a new ‘cellmate’ wasn’t going to be good either — just his luck, he would have to ‘share’ a space with someone else.

“you know, by all means, please… amuse me.”

❛ Unfortunately, I DON’T care what way this goes. It’s your little war,  ❜ a pause as he took a step forward to issue his BOLD statement,  ❛ Not MINE, nor will it EVER be. ❜

“   do you really think all magic is black and white?   ” it was a simple question as ky’s arms folded firmly behind his back, “   think about this; you have an opportunity to trap someone, but refuse to do so out of the morality of the situation.   ” his lips pursed into a fine line, “  i can do this alone, ”  granted, ky would end up in the darkest pit of hell if he attempted, “   but this is a chance it get it right… in one attempt…. with out mistakes. ” not to mention with out ky ending up back in hell due to pissing someone off ( again ).
