Eyebrow cocks in the general direction of the other even if Robbie was no longer looking at him. He was starting to think the other was out of his mind but that was a RELATIVE opinion. He sighs softly and shakes his head. ❝ And what ANSWERS are those ??. ❞
He wanted to ELABORATE on exactly why he wanted to ask the questions, but there was DOUBT the other would believe him. If Ky’s assumptions were right, Robbie’s other half might be able to SHED some light on how he could CONTROL himself or… just give him another CHALLENGE he would attempt to overcome. Either way, he didn’t seem to care about the other’s question… nor did he truly want their PERMISSION, ❝ To questions that i believe your other HALF would be able to answer. ❞
empty words from a pointless argument they’ve had one too many times, that’s all they were. Ky wants a version of him that doesn’t exist and no matter how many times he tries to tell him so, he won’t listen. won’t give up. “what I crave is to be free of you. to never have to see you again or deal with the punishment for my disobedience.”chains. it’s always those goddamn chains. he wouldn’t throw him back in the pits he found him in indefinitely yet he’d prefer that to this kind of enslavement. at least there he was left alone since no one wanted to get too close to a feral animal.
“think about it this way; you’re my property. that means that you do whatever i say. you might not like it and that’s fine.” his arms folded across his chest, “personally, i don’t care if you like it, but you’re going to do what i say. you don’t have a choice in the matter.” well, he did, but ky was trying to make sure that caleb knew that he wasn’t going to shift his stance anytime soon, “so, you will suck it up, and do as i ask.”
“i hate EVERYTHING, didn’t you remember that?” granted, he would have ENJOYED something that he would have liked. then again, ky wasn’t USED to anyone getting him ANYTHING, “ ‘sides, i wouldn’t be surprised if it BLOWS up in my face.” a pause, “YOU get it.”
Quinn arched an eyebrow “What does baggage have to do with your air conditioning? Go for a swim then” he gestured to the pool.
“Honestly? That was the excuse they used.” Though, in all honesty, he would have been somewhere where it was below freezing all the time, but… business always called.”Either way, I don’t swim… too weird.”
“I’d take that as a shot but ya look like a fuckin’ PENGUIN so I’ll let that be it’s OWN reward…’least fer me. Yer screwed pal, no shame in that but s’a hell of a good time fer me.”
“to be quite fair, when it’s business, i dress as i need to, and let… their respective gods sort out the rest.” a deep sigh escaped his lips as he ran his hands through his hair, “either way, what i look like doesn’t matter… as long as i look the part.”
“Alright, so I don’t want to be one.” He said. He’d seen it to much…Reverse Flash, Zoom-Savitar?. Nothing good happened when a speedster wanted power. “I think I could handle it, besides. I’m not in this fight alone.” He had a team.
“You might not want to be one now, but eventually… someone decides their better than everyone else,” he had been through it before, and it never ended well… for anyone involved. “Either way, you might not be alone, but from my experience, you’re more alone with people backing you than anything else.”
Nathan made a grunt, shaking his head eyes inspecting the cage they’d been thrown in to. “Always the expert, aren’t I.” He muttered, mostly to himself. “Something doesn’t feel right…” He admitted. “They’re different from what I’m used to, and I can’t place it.”
“Oh, that’s just GREAT!” It was a mixture of anger and sarcasm, but all the same… he didn’t like the situation that they were in. Of course it had to be a cage – one that he couldn’t exactly get out of easily. JUST HIS LUCK, “I really thought we were GETTING somewhere here.”
“giving you a challenge.” a risky play but one that’s paid off pretty well so far since he’s still here. “if everyone’s afraid of you then they’re not being sincere. I’m not afraid of anything so you can do or say whatever the hell you want.” she’s not interested in looking after him. “what you need is someone who won’t bore you.”
“everyone bores me eventually.” that much was a fact; he would move on, find someone else to torment, and the process would repeat. ky’lar always got bored, even when he was focused completely on something… he got bored after a while. so, he didn’t expect her to be any different, “so, i think i’ll take my chances.”
THE DEMON SMILED; IT WAS ALMOST ABSENT OF THE INSOLENCE THAT RAGED BENEATH THEIR HUMAN SURFACE. is it too hard to clean up your own damn mess? they thought. “of COURSE.” they backed away and leaned back against the nearest wall, eyes taking in the grisly and messy scene. “i can’t do anything about the staining, though~”
he didn’t care about the STAINING ; humans bled enough to fill an entire small area with their insides. it was something that they NEEDED and yet always got in the way. this SPECIFIC human was a victim of the wrong place and wrong time. it was UNINTENDED and yet… it happened all the same, “ do your job. ” he said bluntly as he wiped some of the blood off his hands, “ it’s all your KIND is good for anyways. ”
“now, i know you didn’t pop up into my circle just to talk to me about what humans do, ” it is clear as day her detest for demons and how they cannot be trusted painted her expression a thousand and one times. even the faint smile on her lips spoke of a dangerous barrier if he dared to cross the witch, “ stalking me, ky’lar? ”
“ stalking you would mean that I had an interest in you beyond pure… business reasons. ” that much was stated as a simple fact, “ for the record, i just need to find something, and thought i would drop in.” it was more than that, but for now, he was going to keep things simple, “… if that’s a problem, i could leave, and track down someone else.” a pause, “i’m sure that someone would be willing to do what i want.”
