❛ WE ALL HAVE A GUY —— ❜ she paused, her feet stopped walking and she took A LOOK AROUND, a sigh leaving her lips. ❛ we are TALKING or is this the part where you ask me out for COFFEE and all of that cheesy crap? ❜
‘ if i wanted to ask you out for coffee, i would appear right where you are, and have two cups in hand. ’ a slight grin pulled at his lips, ‘ sadly enough, this is business, and coffee isn’t involved. ’
“ How about a weapon that can kill any creature, give me your help and I am giving you the colt, “ Sam pauses, he was willing to do anything to bring his brother back, even making another deal, he could not accept that Dean was gone, he is sucking in a deep breath , “ I am not like those men “.
ky’s lips pursed into a thin-line, it was possible that the colt could kill any creature, but there was some doubt. he knew the rumors about the winchesters, knew that they couldn’t be trusted, but… having the gun would prove to be useful down the line. if only… as a bargaining chip to hold over someone’s head.
“i could also help and you use the colt on me.” that much was a simple fact, but he was going to overlook it. well, for the moment at least, “so, you say you’re not like other men, but… i fail to see it.”
a dark laugh rumbled from deep within, and cole tapped at the knife yet again to elicit another pain ridden expression from the other before him. the grin that was prominent on freckled features looked rather grim, laden with malicious intent. ‘ big talk from the bad demon that has been stuck down here for, what, days? how y’ holding up, big guy?‘ cole felt as though he deemed unrecognizable, honed in on the glory days from when he would trap and play with croats for fun. back when his morals bended for his own free will to do what he damn well pleased. down there? dean lived through the new leader. ‘ we’re just gettin’ started. ‘
all main subsisted in time. it came and it left, but the most important thing was loyalty. ky may have been stuck down here, but he wasn’t broken — not when he knew that this was all temporary. more to the point, he knew that eventually, he would be free, and then that was win the real fun would start.
not that it mattered much at the moment ; another hiss escaped his lips as his eyes turned dark yellow. while cole was indeed getting on his nerves, there was nothing he could honestly do at the moment, and he doubted that he could ( at least anytime soon ). ‘ i do have a name you know. ’ his words came out through the pain, but still, some sense of sarcasm did leak through, ‘ you can use it next time instead of this… shit!! ’
“If you have, then you know why i’m doing this myself.” He took risks, more risks than he was willing to take at times, and yet… he always found himself alive at the end. Maybe, he just enjoyed the thrill, but at the same time… he wanted to see who would finally put an end to his existence and laugh. “I don’t need you.”
“Yeah, of course you can.” She said, though wasn’t convinced to much. “If I thought you were actually trying to break me, I think the tone of our conversation would be much different.” She said, fists curling at her hips.
“You doubt me.” Ky doubted himself most the time, but then again, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to at least attempt to prove himself. If not strictly to her – backing up his claims worked wonders as well, “You shouldn’t.”
The shred of logic left in her mind KNOWS he would not hurt her, but there is SOMETHING ELSE at play here, now. It’s been this way since he first appeared in her life; an inexplicable, immediate MAGNETISM. It runs down to her blood and bones, as though they CALL to him, and HE to THEM. Drawn to him as she has always been, now emotion is causing her to recoil, an old, inescapable fear forcing her feet backwards, until her shoulders meet the wall behind her.
The PAIN hits then and she groans, but not from that impact. There is a HEAT, as though her blood is BOILING in her veins, causing them – and her eyes– to darken noticeably. Something takes over, her stance changing, becoming one of DEFIANCE and DETERMINATION. Her chin lifts, irises now the color of evergreens under a moonless sky do NOT waver from his, spine straightening while shoulders square. Her lips are moving without her knowledge, an ancient language pouring out: A spell of protection, only it’s in HELLSPEAK.
Of course. These things are tucked away in her mind, after all. Normal children learn world history, she learned that of the damned. It isn’t much; a small display of power; a warning put out on INSTINCT, due to the demon’s reaction and rage while wearing a face so NEW to her. The air charges, BLASTING back on Ky’lar, as though a wall of wind is striking him.
ANGER, that was all that went THROUGH his mind. Also there was RAGE – at EVERYTHING. His father, his own MISTAKES, and most importantly… how he would NEVER BE ENOUGH. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE to be enough for ANYONE these days.
He couldn’t stand up to his FATHER, he couldn’t stand up to ANYONE, and all he had was his SURVIVAL INSTINCTS that kept him ALIVE all these years. It was why the very MOMENT he got strong enough, he was going after his FATHER. Not to imprison him, but to RID the universe of him.
The only problem was he DOUBTED that it would come to pass anytime soon. All he had to keep doing was SWITCHING bodies, keep from BURNING through them, and then keep his plans in motion. It was why he was ATTEMPTING to have some happiness — something to keep him GOING.
Yet, there was no doubt about that in his ANGER, he was starting to RUIN everything. RUIN it to the point where the only RELEASE would be someplace COLD and alone. However, his mind SWITCHED from pure RAGE and ANGER to what was akin to CONFUSION.
The BLAST was unsetting, it was UNEXPECTED, and it CAUGHT him off guard. It was one thing to be HIT by one and another to not even KNOW where it came from. A reason to why his RAGE in instants… just so he could try to FIGURE out what the hell had happened.
“— What… was that?” He finally managed to get out through huff’s of breath as he leaned his head against a wall.
“that takes up a pretty good chunk of it..in between drinks of course.” or actually doing her job when she has a case. sometimes that requires hitting stupid or annoying people so all’s well that ends well. patience isn’t her strong suit and neither is sobriety. “do I want to ask why you look different?”
“do you really want to know the answer to that little question?” in truth, he doubted that she would, but all the same, he wasn’t really going to elaborate on the ‘how’s’ or even ‘why’s’. “i might be many things, but i’m good for a drink, and most of the time murder.” among other things.
Mary wished it were different, that it was possible to make demons play by their rules, or any rules for that matter. It certainly made it hard to gain leverage on them and find their weaknesses. “You always have a choice. If you think you don’t, you’re just too scared of the alternative. So really, the question is, what are you so afraid of if you think you don’t have a choice?” Mary looked at the demon expectantly, tired of the circular conversation and wanting a name.
“There is no alternative.” Or, rather, one that he was willing to accept, but the conversation, as much as it was amusing, was starting to bother him. His choices – if they could eve be called that – were done out of necessity. Not to mention he had made bad deals before… just to see how it would turn out, but that was besides the point, “Sometimes, reality just shits all over you, and you have to face the facts.” Rather, his version of the facts, “The facts are, if I want to do anything… it doesn’t matter if it’s hell or on earth? The best way to be treated as more than just a kid hiding in their father’s shadow is to do things myself and that includes doing whatever is needed… even killing people that might be able to help me.” His final words were firm, but mainly said for a final effect.
“Depends, but honestly, I do think murder is still murder. Either way? I’ll finish it, but only if you… let me show you a fun time later. I mean, there are thousands of people in the city, and who cares if just… a few of them vanish?”
“You know, if I was to.. let’s say smile, it would cause a chain reaction that would shatter the universe.” Actually, it would just mean he was about to kill everyone in the room, but that was quite honestly… besides the point, “I don’t need… feelings. They are dangerous.”
