“Yeah. Pissin off a demon ya ain’t gonna kill should probably be on everyone’s what not to do list.”

She supposed that made sense, somehow a lot worse than making a deal because that meant it could happen to any hunter and probably had happened to plenty of them. “And I’m sure Hell is designed to make sure nobody forgets it.”

“To be fair, it’s even worse when the very demon that you pissed off his family, and you can tell how well that will go over with get-togethers.” There was a full out roll of his eyes, “It’s not something anyone should do; human, demon, or otherwise, it just leads to more questions, and you know how demons are with ‘creative’ punishment.”

❛ KY’LAR —- HOW DID YOU get this number? what is it
you want from me? ❜   //   @hellfirebound ;; starter call

‘ I HAVE A GUY. ’ that was putting it LIGHTLY, but all the same, he DOUBTED that it would have mattered much, ‘ i also thought we could talk. unless, you think TALKING is a cardinal sin these days.’

thcbloody:

@hellfirebound staked the heart

are you sure you know what you’re doing there, mate? “  the bleach blond vampire questioned.  spike had been there, tried that. messing with this higher power shit wasn’t easy, as fun as it was.

image

honestly, he didn’t know what he was doing at times, but at the moment, he was almost certain that he knew what he was doing. well, more or less, “ do you always ask stupid questions? ” as much as he would have enjoyed hearing the answer, he quickly spoke again, “…. maybe.” as if to answer the original question.

the name was a hand jerking on the collar around his neck, metaphorically instead of literally. for now. he’s under no delusions that one won’t be put on him at the slightest sign of defiance Ky’s tried to beat out of him. it’s all he has left at this point since it’s clear to him that he’ll never be freed. I’m not my father —- don’t call me that. he only used the name out of Hell because it diverted attention away from him to make him seem ordinary. someone no one looks twice at on the street or the darkened corners of a bar.

image

he wanted to say the name again, to tighten his control over the other, but instead, ky’lar decided to go another route. one, that would possibly have the same effect if he was being honest, “—- see, if you were your father, i highly doubt that we would be having this conversation.” then again, they might have anyways, “so, if i decide to call you that name, i will call you that name.” his lips pursed into a thin-line, “do remember that.”

‘ i’m sure they really appreciated that gift. so generous.’

raisa chuckled, finding it rather comical.
‘ i’m a little surprised to hear of one so obsessed, though. i mean, sure, something gets away most of us lose sleep at night… but most hunters don’t want to deal with international travel.’

image

‘ to be fair, i may have done something to piss them off. ’ honestly, he didn’t even want to think about it. murder was easy, but actually talking about his own personal actions? well, that was ten times harder, ‘ then again, most hunters don’t let themselves get knocked out by a demon either. ’

“  fortunately for you?  i’m not most,    matter of fact, her type doesn’t have a single category; complex and unruled spells zatanna perfectly. majority of the community specialized in sorcery would be damned if that didn’t respect her craft,  “  could be the looks — it’s definitely something humans would fall for.

“ they usually fall for anything that either looks attractive or can give them a good time. ” it was odd, especially coming for him, that people looked for a good time. he did often, but that was for his own personal reasons,  “ sometimes it’s a mixture of both. ”

L His fist’s tightened at his side as the Abomination spoke. He did not hold the same non-sensible fear of magic that humans and the Chantry did. He held a healthy respect for it, which is why dweomer runes were etched into his weapons and armor. If conflict arose, which he was nearly certain it would. He’d like it to be on a level playing field.

“Many have mistaken confidence for pride. To boast strength is to invite challenge. It is better for your opponent to think you a fool, than for you to prove it to him.”

He felt a familiar calm creeping over him then. He steadied his breath to an even pace, letting the stiffness of his body fall always. If it was a fight the demon was looking he would find one soon enough.

“You should return to from whence you came. You will find only death and destruction here.”

“Challenge also brings forth conflict.”

The words were stated far more bluntly than needed, but all the same, in the demon’s mind, they were quite true. Eventually, everyone thought they could take on larger, and larger foes. Most of them failed, but also, a small number succeeded, and it was possible that this one would.

At least, on a small scale. One that wouldn’t tip anything off, but it would be… concerning to say the very least. A reason to why the Demon was going to keep his distance from what he deeply caved ( to put the other in their place and prove how powerful he was ).

“ —– Returning from where I came from isn’t going to happen. Not when there are so many… delightful things here. Get past their mishaps and every species has has potential. Especially…. your kind.”

right. it didn’t matter what was comfortable for him.
he’d forgotten that little detail somehow and it shuts
him up for a minute. he’s argued with Ky’lar enough
times to know there’s no way he’s going to win this
one so might as well just give in. that doesn’t mean
he’ll do it quietly of course. well you know how that
saying goes —- practice makes perfect. at this rate
Ky could sell him to a whore-house and he’d make a
fortune on his knees.

“except when the practice has been done over and
over again.” there were times that ky wanted to throw
caleb into a pit of lava just for sport. of course, he would
only do that if he was pressed, but that was besides the
point, “ —– just be silent. you’re less annoying that way.”

“That sounds like some serious mojo. I’m guessing you’re far from human.”

image

“Humanity is boring.” He mused, “You look at it from any angle and they are limited.” Not to mention weak, but Ky wasn’t about to admit that, “More to the point….. this ‘mojo’ i have? It was learned….and inherited.’

“Doesn’t mean you’re damned for eternity because you never had a soul. I mean, you stay topside you can do whatever the hell you want unless you’re caught by the likes of me for blindly killing people.” Sid didn’t know much about Hell, just that he had killed a few demons. It wouldn’t surprise him too much if Ky had never had a soul. “So there’s that. There’s always that. Everyone has the ability to make their own choices. – In most situations.”

image

“I make contracts.” Usually, “I give people what they want. Sometimes they just don’t know what they are signin’ and it isn’t my fault.” Maybe it was, but Ky wasn’t going to admit that. Not here, not now, and least of all, not to a hunter ( didn’t matter who they were ), “Even then, staying top-side has it’s risks. Eventually, someone will send me back there again, and trust me. It won’t be pretty with all the shit i’ve pulled.”
