Eddie found it surprising that a demon wold do something so calm and possibly lazy. She was expecting something completely different. Eddie frowned at him before she spoke again, pulling her knees into her chest, watching him closely.

“Why a cold room?”

She had a comment about the fires of hell over heating him, but she decided to simply leave it be.

the reasons to why he enjoyed almost freezing temperatures was due to the fact he could forget what he was. it wasn’t a demon, wasn’t a hybrid, and not even a prince of hell. instead, all ky’lar ended up being in those few moments was himself; someone, who just wanted some peace, and not have to deal with anything else.

❝ —- it’s nothing. ❞ a bold out lie, he wouldn’t state his true reasons; maybe later on, but not now, and certainly not anytime soon,

❝ i simply enjoy it. ❞

mythsworn:

“I noticed, as per the trail of destruction basically identical to a fuckin’ Hansel n’ Gretel trail.”

“To be quite fair, not everything was my fault — just most of it. ‘Sides, orders are for people who follow, an’ I don’t follow. Not now, an’ not ever.”

damnedkiing || Boring.

No just a WARNING that nothing happens in my city that i don’t know about. And you will do best to follow the RULES.

❝ Well, RULES are always meant to be BROKEN. ❞ He stated as bluntly as possible, ❝ If I BREAK them, than I guess I they were far too CONSTRICTING for my tastes.❞

qceenmother:

She wanted to push him off the bifrost, or give him back to those
who were looking for him. She was queen now, no longer part of
a team. People could see her as weak, or Asgard as weak. Normally
she would have accepted, given him a free reign, but now, it was
her people and their safety that had to come first, she could not
             compromise with that.

“Three days,” she said after several long beats of silence. “I will
give you three days, but then you will have to leave.” She would
be steadfast in her choice, no wide eyes, no pleading. Now was
the time for her to put aside her gentle heart.

“And if you cause any sort of trouble, for anyone, you will be
asked to leave on the spot.” Asgard was not a place for strays.
Despite how many she herself had fostered. “Do you understand?”

He wanted to say longer. It would have been
ideal if he stayed a week to a month. That way,
he could at least get a plan in motion. Three days,
it wasn’t much. Not even though for him to start
getting the basics together for what he needed
             to do.

“Understood.” He wanted to protest. To be demand
that he be given at least a week. Yet, he knew that it
wouldn’t have worked out well for him in the long run.
This wasn’t his domain. He had no power here. “Three
days and i’m gone. I won’t return.” As much as the words
pained him, it was more than likely for the best. He couldn’t
run forever. Not when his own time was clearly running
             out, “I swear it.”

“ so long as you keep those loyal to you comfortable then i stand by the fact that no amount of money will change their loyalty.”   a shrug and robin ran a hand through his hair.  “if you don’t think the same of your people, then you need new people.”

“Money will change anyone’s loyalty. Move around enough in one direction or another and people will turn heads. More to the point, they will turn their heads to following the money, and once that’s done? Well, they would sell out anyone for it.”

He did jump a little bit, thanks to his PTSD and not having heard Ky’lar come in.  Looking behind him, he paused.  “Gotta call you back.”  Hanging up, he raised a brow.  “Ky’lar, I have killed many people.  My parents are assassins – or they were.  I assure you, I don’t put anyone on a pedestal.  I like to consider myself a realist.  And the question wasn’t if you were good for me.  Though I think anyone brings both good and bad to the table in such a situation.”

❝ you deserve better. ❞ a simple statement as ky’lar made his way forward,

❝ i’m not worth this…. maybe a very long time ago i was, but i can’t… be what you want.  ❞ though, in reality, he wasn’t going to attempt caring again. it was just far too painful for him and it was best if he left it alone,

❝ ……. everyone i’ve ever cared about dies or i push them away. you know that better than anyone. ❞

❛ —– should i really be that worried about the type of drunk you are? ❜

it helped jody deal with her problems, spend a few moments truly elated. then it helped her sleep. both of the actions were greatly appreciated. tipping up her glass, she finished off the rest, smiling briefly as the familiar warmth began to spread through her skin.

❛ You should be more worried about what I might say is all. ❜ A slight chuckle escaped his lips,

❛ No, i’m not a bad drunk—- I just either get very angry or very talkative. ❜ Either way, it wasn’t much of a change from his usual attitude, but it still was a decent one all the same,

❛ Depends on my mood. ❜

image

❝ i wouldn’t exactly say caught. ❞ yes, he was interrupted in his search, but caught? not a chance in his mind. ❝ just got caught into a snag of sorts. ❞ though, in truth he doubted it truly mattered  as he moved to rub at the back of his head for a few moments,

—— an’ just a friend

“Yes!”

Eddie snapped without hesitation or thought. She bit her lip after she said it, clearing her throat before she spoke again. It took her a second, mainly because she had to figure out a possibly less insulting way to respond.

“I-I mean….I-I had plans. W-why do you need to stay How long? Why?”

Rambling quickly in an attempt to cover her slip up. She shifted in her seat in her bed before she slipped out of it and moved to gather clothes so that she could get dressed. If he was going to be forcing his company upon her, she was going to at least look decent for company.

❝ as long as needed. ❞

bold words, but one’s that were quite accurate : ky’lar didn’t want to spend any time here —- a penthouse was better. at least there he would have everything he could possibly need, but when the people you worked with were pissed off? well, times were tough, and he had to learn to adapt.

❝ nothing more and nothing less. ❞
