She laughed, despite it all. She gave a shake of her
head. “There are more than a fair share of people
who are no fans of mine,” she replied, leaning back
in her chair. “And a fair number of those wouldn’t
mind me dead, but I have learned to stop caring.”

affecting everyone around me? Well,
sometimes, I do care enough to either run
or stop them —- i usually resort to running

“really?” he raised an eyebrow, a little doubtful. to him, money really was everything. it was the only drive he had at that point in his life. it wasn’t exactly like he had much else going on. and he didn’t exactly have money anyway. “well….that don’t sound you were arrested then.” he shrugged, pulling a slight face. “not that it’s a bad thing or somethin’.”

“to be fair, any free food is good to me.” he joked, grinning. but maybe that was because he was pretty much hungry all the time.

_{“Being arrested isn’t all bad —- you get food, usually a few meals a day, and sometimes a room all your own.” Not that Ky’lar cared in all reality about what other’s went through, but he had been in enough cells to know that they were not all the same, and that time in prison or jail was relative to the person who was there.}
