She’d sensed another presence behind her as she walked down the alley, trying to go unnoticed since she didn’t want Angel catching wind of her just yet. So Faith kept walking, her head down as she went along for a few more minutes before ducking into a doorway when she was sure she could. Waiting for whomever was following her, she pulled her knife from her boot and held it firm until the other passed by.
Immediately she got those low-down tingles–spidey senses she called them–when she shoved the stranger into the fence. “ Oh goodie…I do get to kill somethin’ tonight, ” she grinned pressing the knife to the demon’s throat. “ That is if you can convince me otherwise…then again I can’t make any promises. ”
In truth, Ky’lar thought that he had kept enough distance between the both of them that he wouldn’t be caught. That way, he could safely follow with out causing anything, but it seemed he didn’t calculate correctly. Not that it was hard — the Demon was often wrong when he hadn’t faced someone or something he never had dealt with a for.
A reason to why he lifted his head up for a few moments: a slight grin forming across his lips as she spoke. Of course she would want to kill him: most did these days, but still, Ky found this more so amusing than anything else,
❝ I don’t expect ya to make promises, but there is an old saying…. if you have a blade you should use it. So, are ya gonna use it? ❞
The young brunette saw some pills on her bedside table before she took them and laid back into bed with the beautiful man she considered her friend next to her. She snuggled into her chest before placing a kiss on him.
maybe he should have honestly stayed asleep : that way, he wouldn’t have to face reality anytime soon. it would have been nice by all standards, but instead, he shifted again as his eyes opened with a deep sigh. something told him this wasn’t going to be a good day,
❝ you’re up early. ❞ a simple observation as he moved to rub at his eyes for a few moments,
Oooooh she could come up with a list of things not to like. Not that she’d spent the following days after their last encounter doing that exact thing, but she could conjure a list if she needed to! Ed sighed from her hiding spot under the blankets before she sat up and pushed them off of her, fixing him with a smile that was forced, though she tried to make it seem real.
“Welcome to one of my many hotel rooms. Feel free to make yourself at home.”
His following words left her feeling guilty now. No, it wasn’t that she didn’t like him….per say. It was more….he made her nerves. Both thanks to her power to sense all of his power, the fact that she could make all of those worse, and thanks to the fact that….he just did. Ed was used to being nervous, but being nerves with no solid reason as to why was worse.
“What does it matter if I like you or not?”
She asked in honest curiosity. She hadn’t gotten the impression he cared what anyone thought.
“I doubt my preference on the subject really does anything.”
while i might not have mattered much to anyone if she liked him or not, the demon was at least attempting to be somewhat polite. usually, he would have started demands by now, but there was no use. not when it was quite clear by now that she was at least somewhat frightened of him.
fear could go far, especially when he pressed the correct buttons of a person; she was no different. a reason to why he was going to build up to it —- at least this time around,
❝ it matters due to the fact i might be here a while. ❞ by while he meant a few hours, but all the same, ky’lar was attempting to build up some form of trust —- even if it wouldn’t truly last,
❝ is that a problem? ❞
❛ don’t let me stop you, really. ❜
jody topped off her glass again and then refilled his before letting the bottle linger between the two of them. it would probably be best that she got rid of some of the alcohol aging around the house. not that there was anyone around to steal it. still shouldn’t let stuff get skunked, it deserved to be used for its intended purpose.
part of him wanted to say that he should be stopped; that way, he wouldn’t drink all of the alcohol in the building and maybe keep himself sober. though, at the same time, ky’lar never could stop himself — especially when it came to anything that could make him go numb,
❛ —– you’re gonna regret it soon enough. ❜ and he took another large drink,
❛ everyone always does. ❜
Frank
snorted. Long ago had the notion of staying
alive gone from him. He was a machine, more or less, doing whatever he was
programmed to do. Especially now. “Right…
has fun.” He repeated, eyeing the other suspiciously for a moment. “I wonder
what someone like you does for fun.”
❝ depends on the day, but usually? several beers, girls, and someones just a slight dash of what the kids call murder. ❞ for most people, they lifted an eyebrow at the last comment, and took it as a joke. though, at the same time, he was in just enough of a good mood that ky’lar was being quite serious this time around,
❝ then again, it differs from day to day —- ‘specially when dear ol’ dad shows up. ❞
BROWS FURROW,fingers curl almost as a threat.
❝Perhaps i should WARN YOU you clearly have no idea who you’re d e a l i n g with.❞ Erik didn’t appreciate being played as a fool, he was already suspicious and it wouldn’t take much for the MUTANTto slip into crippling paranoia.
WHILE IT WAS QUITE TRUE that he didn’t know who he was DEALING WITH, that didn’t mean that ky’lar WASN’T willing to place an EDUCATED assumption. though, at the same time, that always meant PUSHING everyone else’s LIMITATIONS… just like he was going to do now,
❝ PERHAPS, but i’ve DEALT with worse SITUATIONS before. ❞
she’s out of arguments as far as why they shouldn’t though she’s not entirely certain what makes her voice any to begin with. he has this look in his eye that says he’s going to do it either way no matter what she did. he’s just inviting her along because they always talk about thinning the population. ❝okay but later you have to explain to me how it all works. what’s the closest game we can go to?❞
it was actually quite amusing how she thought he would explain everything : finding something with decent results wasn’t easy, he might have wanted a quick action response, but he was willing to wait a while for this one. after-all, even if only a handful of humans died, it still meant a handful less that he wouldn’t have to deal with,
❝ ——- i have a few idea’s. the bigger the better in this case. ❞
when it comes to weapons, ky’lar tries to stay away from guns as much as possible : yes, they are nice when in a bind, but he prefers knives, and blades to anything else. it is true, he carries a few blade on him, and a gun a times, he rarely uses them.
in truth, he would rather fight with his fists than use any other sort of weapon… if he had the choice that is.
